We just handed our taxes over to be done and I'm curious if I'm the only one going to use some of the refund on scrappy stuff. I'm still building my stash so there is soooo much I want and "need" plus I don't get to shop a lot for stuff so I'm excited. So im in need of ideas lol What do you plan on getting?

I'm really hoping to get to use some of my tax return for some things but we are using it for spring break and I don't know if we will have enough left over for anything else. since my husband's hours got cut in November things have been tight and my scrappy budget is way too tiny lol. so I've fingers crossed that my tax return will be big enough for at least a small order here for some of the new things coming out

If I got a refund I would buy scrappy stuff. We usually break just about even.

I have a kid and a house and I don't get a refund.
Hopefully I won't have to pay too much this year as I adjusted my withholding but I owed the past two years. If I got a refund, I would just adjust my withholding again!

Paper cutter is a really good idea! The one I have is M's brand and I don't like the way it cuts at all but every time I look at cutters I stand there overwhelmed with choices and move on to buying embellishments. thanks ladies.

We normally get a refund but not sure about this year since we made about 20,000 more this year than normally. But if we do it will be put towards our 1st trip to WDW this coming September. The kids have been saving and so are we so any refund goes toward that.

No kids + no house + no credit card debt or bills = refund in this house. I always have way too much taken out my check. So a Cameo is in my very near future!

Usually I take a pretty big chunk of it and spend it on scrapbooking supplies but I think I'm going to limit myself this year. We have several bills that need to be paid off before we go on any kind of spending spree. But yes - I imagine some of it will end up going to 2peas. lol

Our taxes will be electronically filed by our tax attorney Monday morning.
We should have our refund by
the 18th at the latest.
I won't be spending any of it on scrapping stuff even though there are quite a few things I really want.
I will be saving it for some dental work DS will need next December.

Putting in the bank to assist in paying bills when DH gets furlough. 30 days without pay is going to hurt BIG TIME!
Yes, I do expect that we will have Federal shut-downs, and federal employee furloughs.

I usually get a refund and hope this year isn't any different. I have 2 furbabies that needs dentistry done and a tree in my front yard that needs trimmed. I hope I have some left over to play with!

Since my DH is severely underemployed, we have been using any extra funds to just keep it all going. No special scrappy purchases for me.

I'm hoping to convince my husband that I need a Silhouette Portrait with a small portion of ours.
I mean, part of the added amount to our refund this year will be because I gave birth to another child in 2012. It's only fair that I get something with the money for my effort, right? | |

@Jen- tell him it's a push present. I always see the famous people on tv get cars/jewelry as a push gift. Compared to that your not asking for much

We'll be using part of our refund to go to WDW in April, to visit our son who is in the Disney College Program.
While there, I'll probably buy some scrappy stuff from the parks that he likes, so that I will have a stockpile to scrap the hundreds of pictures he's already taken since January 7th, and the hundreds more to come!

We decided to each take $100 and do what we want with that. The rest will be going into Savings. Its more then I thought originally, but with hubbys job I didn't want to end up having to pay a bunch at the end of the year either. Not in a position right now to have to dish $$ back out

We do what JamieMN does. Savings for the majority and some to each of us or a joint item/event.
