Morning ladies!
Sorry i've been some-what MIA these past few weeks... life has caught up with me and some big decisions had to be made that I stressed over for a bit so... i'm slowly getting back on track now!
I'm so excited to start your challenges Rach! I'm going to be putting my kit together I hope tonight or tomorrow! 
Week One Discussion
1. What is your favorite romantic movie? The Notebook
2. What is the sweetest thing someone has done for you (does not have to be a partner/spouse)? Gosh... Josh is amazing day in and day out... so one thing to choose is hard! Probably when Josh proposed, he was so sweet with it. He made sure he did it the way I wanted (not around people, just us and a very simple proposal). He proposed in our hotel room infront of the big window that looked out at the Seattle skyline so
I will be back either later tonight or tomorrow with my kit pictures! Just gotta find stuff to put in it!

Well, Elizabeth! Not all of us find out at 14 weeks!! I had an appointment yesterday but, sadly, it wasn't an US appt. BUT scheduled in 4 weeks for it. Yeah, I have to wait 4 more weeks.  I figured I could have had it arranged for this week but I thought I'd try being patient and wait for the Dr. to suggest it. So don't rub it IN!! j/k I'm going on a cruise soon, so I have that to look forward to at least until then.
Christina, I know! It will be fun. I'm trying not to compare and see that yours is newer and therefore will be cuter, haha. Yes I counted. Only 5 are full sheets! I'm limiting myself to only Kraft and cardstock too, so that will be a fun challenge for me and make up for not having pp to use as background. Yay for time with your BF!

Loni, lots of mine are super old actually haha like old dear lizzy (enchanted line), AC botanique, K and Company Poppy seeds, Basic Grey Two Scoops (or something like that) and 3 sheets of white cardstock and 2 sheets of white vellum. I threw in just enough new stuff to make it look current haha But I love your papers! They're the timeless basics and I wish I had more of them (I have a lot of the gross old pastels and nothing bright and colorful) |

Loni: lol actually it was 12 . I totally hear you though. With the girls I had to wait until 20 weeks. Killer. Have fun on your cruise. Braver than me. Water and a ship and pregnant doesn't say fun to me. I get so sea sick.
Half way through my paper sorting. Got a nice big stack to either give to the gives or donate somewhere. Was able to see some papers I would like to put in my kit. Might have to take a break because I am drained. Hopefully can pick this up later and get my living room floor back.

@Loni - Love your kit as well. Great colors. I'm down for scrapping a bit tomorrow. I also have a stack of layouts (and some St. V's decorations) to upload to 2peas. The lighting just hasn't been all that great around here lately to take photos.
@Monica - Ahh okay. Well, it's great that you're doing so well. A total inspiration.
I'm not sure if I'm putting together a kit. What's the deal with it? Can I not touch that stuff until the challeneges get posted or? I tend to be someone that has layouts planned -- so tomorrow I'm doing a Disney layout and then the final one from my husband's cousin's debut party (it's a big thing Filipinos do for a girl's 18th bday). I've never really done the whole "I can only use this stuff" thing. Eh, maybe I'll give it a try -- but I can't promise that I won't dip into the kit for other projects, such as the Disney layout. |

Okay for some reason when I get mad I get burst of energy and I actually feel great for the situation I am going through. With this great burst of energy I got the living room back to clean, kids happy, music going, and about to start working on my kit. I plan on scrapbooking later though, but I want to get some supplies together while I am high on energy or madness.
TGIF! Kids were good for the WHOLE week with no tv shows so they get a trip to the store to pick out some magic tricks. Hopefully I keep this burst of energy for a while without crashing. With no sleep I am probably going to crash soon so off I go to start my kit.

I just completed my kit. I started with hearts and went a little crazy, but I am hoping to complete 4 layouts hopefully. Having trouble uploading on Ipad so will try later on iPod.
Fuel is half full, but hoping I can get through the day. About to clean kitchen, fix lunches and hopefully start one layout while I attempt to lay the girls down for rest. Glad I went through my papers and made the kit. Excited about making a layout again. |

Omg it's February...lots of crazy things have happened since I last popped in.
For the new chicks I'm Bethany, NOW 25 yep just had a birthday on the 3rd, I live in the deep south, no longer single, but now jobless.
yep I am now jobless they fired me on the fact that my sales average dipped too low. brought it up for 2 weeks straight and then went on my bday vacation. that week I only worked 2 actual days so my average went low again but I was told I was in the clear. come back from a nice 3 paid days 6 actual days of vacation and worked an entire day and then she fired me. I'm pretty pissed but hey I think it's a blessing in disguise. i've been wanting a normal 9-5 job no weekends for a while.

umm well me and the bf have been spoiling each other a lot lately. he's awesome. so one thing is kinda hard. we went to Gatlinburg, Tn for my bday. I had to pay for most of it due to him having way more bills then me but I know that trips in the future he'll get me back its not a problem of mooching we go back and forth on things that we pay for like out to dinner and stuff. I wanted to go out of town so there. we had an awesome weekend. found out some bad news the day before I got fired and he let me cry on his shoulder. then i got fired lol. I also had a really awful dream one night and apparently woke him up and he cuddled me..awwwww.  he's the cutest little red head. and he's growing a beard.
well I'm off to talk to the temp agency about finding me a freaking job. I hate not working. |

Happy Friday!
It's my cousin's birthday so I've been spending the day with her. I took her to lunch, we did some shopping, and she got her hair styled for tonight. Back at the house now to hang out for a while, and then she chose a Japanese steakhouse (where they cook in front of you) for her birthday dinner. Should be fun!

Proud of myself right now. I just finished a layout using my kit and calling it night. Lol. Took a while since I was moving slow and took a nap because my high went away. Hoping tomorrow I can get another layout done. If I can get 4 layouts done i will be happy just because I haven't scrapped in a long time.
Loni and those that scrapped I hope you got a lot done and had a good time. Hoping to upload my layout and kit in a little.

Hi ladies!!
So sorry I have been MIA on the thread. For those of you that are new: Welcome!! I am Stephanie, 26 and I live in Texas with my husband. No kids, just 2 parakeets - Sammy and Scooter I have been a part of YS for about 4 years now.
I put together my kit the other night, but haven't had good enough light to take a picture of it. I will take a pic in the daylight tomorrow. I am excited about it! I pulled out some papers/scraps I've had for a while - so it will feel good to use those up!
Rachel: YAY for having today off! Did you get some scrapping done?

I just uploaded my kit and first layout using the kit. The layout picture is no good because I used my IPod.
Once my headache dies down I plan on working on another layout. Not really sure if I'll get to it, but I'm planning it out.

How are you feeling Elizabeth, I saw your comment on my Pin. I totally pinned that because I have sat on my children when they were being stinkers. Don't worry, it was all in play - no injuries!!

Laura, sorry about the death in your family, hugs! Are you unable to go back for the funeral? Oh yes, the cruise. I thought it was an excellent plan. Gem is old enough to leave, gotta go before the next baby gets here. The 2nd trimester is the best trimester, and I think I will be fine - I'm not prone to seasickness, but I'll be prepared! BTW, they do make you have a DR. sign off on it. How much snow did you get? Did the power outage not last long? Your caramels look awesome. 
Rachel, thanks for posting the new challenges. I was going to take a break from my Vday album so I nagged you for the next ones. hehe, BUT I think my album will be my submission for the first one.
Caro! Yay! we get to see you twice in so short a time? I'll have to try your recipe my little P has been obsessed with getting strawberries every week. They're her fave - we usually wait for spring, but well, we like spoiling our kids when it's something as simple as that.
3. My favorite candy is . . . sheesh, I can't pick! I love candy corn, butterfingers and this time of year, the sweettart conversation hearts (got some in the kitchen )
4. Made these homemade Samoas for my book group a couple weeks ago. It's girl scout cookie season here! I love both kinds of samoas. Home made and from the girl scouts.
K! I'm scrapping for now! We got an inch or two of snow, sadly not more. As long as we get it in the mountains though, I guess that's what's important. We need it for crops around here. Oh, and it's calving season, so stay tuned for some baby calf pics on IG! |

Waving from Cambodia now...
Unfortunately, I am sick again... Jonny and I thought we both got food poisoning in Lao because he got sick for one day, but I've been sick for 3 days now. I cannot seem to keep much down! Trying to do as much possible, but I really think I need to rest. Dehydration is kicking in and my body is exhausted
We've seen 2 Khomer Rouge/Pol Pot genocide museums... All I can say is absolutely heartbreaking and chilling, especially since the war only happened in 1974! Bones, clothes and teeth are still appearing at one of the museums. The other museum has bloodstains on the floor. Photos of some of the victims are hard to look at. Children, men and women, women with their babies. You could see fear in their eyes, some were beaten prior and others smiled making me think that they didn't want their last legacy to be upset if that makes sense? |

So Steph, Lisa, & I were talking last night and thought it would be fun if the monthly hostess came up with a kit prompt every month. It could be based on a theme, color scheme, a "recipe", etc. We were thinking it would be both a way to give the hostess a "job" or prompt for the month and it could help us do the Pinspiration challenges!
What do you guys think?

Monica: love the kit and the idea. It will make me use up my stash I hope and get some layouts done.
Still feeling under the weather, but hoping I can start feeling better tomorrow. I hate being sick during the week because it's harder for hubby to help me out.
Haven't worked on my layout bc of my sickness, but hoping I will after dinner so I can put away my mess.
What is everyone's plan for love day?
We are just taking girls to Ihop and giving them flowers and candy. Hubby has a class to teach so after breakfast at Ihop he is off to school.
Wish we could go to a comedy club and have a real date, but with no babysitter that's out.

I have one Apricot pug named Mackenzie, and one black pug named Abigail.
I absolutely adore pugs. Their such fun, loving animals. They are very friendly with kids too. I have a 3 year old nephew whom they get along very well with. They are very careful with him. I'm not sure how they know, guess they just do!

Melissa: hope you feel better. There is nothing worse than being sick while traveling. I had terrible food poisoning in Bolivia a few years ago! They had to call a doctor to the hotel because we were so sick.

New week. Counting mine down. Only 22 weeks until baby is here! Excited to hold him and sleep better.
Seems like over the weekend the whole family got a cold which sucks. I actually feel like I have the flu which stinks because I have to take care of the girls.
Desiree: love the black ones! We have to wait until we get our own house because a lot of rentals don't allow dogs or animals so it's better we wait.
Since I am under the weather I doubt I will be posting much, but hopefully I can work on my layout and a valentines card for my loved ones. Have a good day!

Elizabeth, I planned our cruise to cover V-day and Hubs bday. I was a little sad to be away from the kids on that day so we're doing a special dinner and activity tomorrow.
Melissa! Get better soon, I hope you are already feeling better, actually so you can enjoy the rest of your trip.
I plan to finish my PL spread today and it would be awesome to do Rach's second challenge LO before I go but I've got a really long to-do list and our wood stove smoked us out last night. So I've got extra jobs to do - airing out the house, laundry, febreeze!

Cristina same here. I've been so busy at work an I've been getting off real late and then i have side freelance projects that I need to do at night and through the weekends. Lots of work to do!

Must have been a busy day for everyone... been quiet around here!
I ran some errands this morning (and may have treated myself to Archivers!). Then did laundry, took care of blah stuff, worked out, did Etsy orders, and made dinner. I'm pooped! Felt good to keep busy today, though!
I never did get around to scrapping, but I started a mini album the other day and I am itching to work on it some more!

Happy Valentine's Days my lovalie YS girlies!! I was surprised big time today by Kyle. Since he lives in Italy, its hard for him to buy things and mail them to me so a lot of what he sends he orders online. Which is perfectly fine with me. Well today when I got home I had 3 boxes waiting for me!! 2 from ProFlowers and 1 from a fruit company. Also I finally got a Skype call with him, its been a week since I saw him on Skype last. We got to talk for 30 minutes I was so happy! He watched me open my gifts, which were 2 vases full of flowers and chocolate covered strawberries! The flowers were a red vase full of roses and another super cute Valentine decorated vase full of stargazer lilies and iris', the lily being my favorite! I can't believe he got me 2 vases of flowers! Chocolate covered strawberries are my favorite too and its taken everything in me not to finish the whole box tonight!! I love love love this man.

Laura Mae, oh my those are some gorgeous chocolate covered strawberries, and the flowers aren't bad either  . Seriously though, he seems like a keeper. He really did being away on Valentine's Day right!!
Rachel, sorry you had a bad dream. It's awful when they feel so real . Hope you get some sleep and scrap therapy lifts your spirits .
