Does anyone know of three day crops or retreats close to New Mexico? I moved here from Ohio with lots of options for scrapping and now have none. Major withdraws, any suggestions?

depends on what you mean by 'close' to New Mexico, lol! If you want to take a road trip, there's a 3-day crop coming up in April that's in Tucson... I believe one Pea is coming over from New Mexico to attend.

Andrea, what part of New Mexico are you in? I am in New Mexico, and we have very few options here, at lease that I have been able to find. If we are close maybe it would be fun to get a group of ladies together and organize a retreat of our own. Depending on the financial situation of everyone, we could rent a cabin/vacation home (there seem to be quite a few options in that arena. Peamail me if you might be interested in trying to do something like this.

That would be me!
Which part of the state are you in? I am in Las Cruces (southern) and will going over to the retreat in Tucson (a four hour drive) in April. If you're nearby, let me know and we can at least meet up for coffee and maybe a day in my scraproom.
To other posters who are in the state...where are you? I'd be interested in any scrap happenings here!

Marilyn - I am in Moriarty, so not so close. But I think a long weekend retreat might be fun if we can get a few others on board, maybe in Ruidoso. I know they have lots of vacation rentals of cabins/homes usually with lots of sleeping options and several bathrooms.
Unfortunately I have a very limited amount of vacation time and I have to reserve that for going RVing with hubby, so I am limited in the distance I can travel to do a weekend retreat, and Tucson is just to far away for me to fit that in to a weekend.
Keep in touch, maybe we can get a group together.

I am relatively new to New Mexico and had to look Moriarty up on the map. I completely understand how Tucson is too far...heck, it's far for me too and all I gotta do is head west on I-10. I almost didn't go because 4 hours is a lot in the car but since I haven't done much since moving here I decided to give it a try.
I would certainly be open to doing a retreat in Ruidoso or even ABQ. |

Click on the name of the Pea you want to contact. Then when their public profile opens look to the left and you'll see one of the menu choices as Send Peamail. Click it, the window will open, type the note and send. |
