I'm a Midwest girl, born and bred, but when I saw the Seattle and further north area, man, I could live there in a heartbeat. Such a contrast with the ocean in one direction, forest in another and beautiful snow covered mountains.

Yep. The only good part of the PNW is Seattle and just north of there. Absolutely incredible. Oregon just can't compete with that beauty.

Your state looks beautiful, but nowhere I'd want to live. Too cold, rainy, snowy, chilly, etc.

Give me 100+ degree weather and humidity any time. I see the beach daily from my office window.

That's funny

When DD was on first grade we had an El Niño year. I think it rained hard for 20 days or something. The planes on Camp Pendleton were washed out to sea and houses floated by us down the river. It was bad.
We lived about 2 miles from the beach right next to a river. One day as I was driving DD to school we see a crab in the street. 2 blocks from the river.
Of course we turned right around and got a container to put him in do he could go to school for huge day. It was a big hit and was promptly released into the harbor when we got home
