9 days left! I probably should get on the ball! lol.

Sales with my business have been through the roof so i've been busy in my office and not even thought about anything else.

I would normally just go with something from my store, but that's kind of cheating...haha. Got any fun ideas?

(I won't be seeing him on Valentines day, he lives 9+ hours from here and I have 3 days off so i'm thinking about going to New Orleans so it'll have to be something that I can do long distance)

I don't know yet. Money is TIGHT, so going all out isn't an option. Possibly, having the kids stay with someone, cook him a nice meal...

Don't know yet. He actually works for my agency now so I'm sending a card interoffice mail to brighten his day. He's all smiles because he has some big plan of what he is getting me. So I better think of something good soon!!!

I'm getting a framed picture of our wedding date made up of photos of numbers, along the lines of framed names that were particularly popular last Christmas where photos of random things in the shape of letters were made into name.

Today, I will be colouring outside the lines.

Not much this year as money is extremely tight...I just got him 2 practical items...a pair of sneakers he's been needing, and a book he really wants.

Also, I don't ever do mushy type crafts for him, but I might resort to that this year just to have an extra gift to wrap up...I have a deck of cards and I might do this thing I saw on Pinterest - 52 things I love about you - probably a little dorky but cheap!

He gets several cards and small inexpensive surprises leading up to Valintines Day. Nothing too big except this year I had a chance to surprise him with tickets to a hockey game last weekend.

Gina, you crack me up!

We ussually go out for a nice meal but this year I thought I'd cook something nice. I found a come recipes that looked interesting. A salmon martini appetizer, a balsamic tomato "relish" that goes over top of a filet, an interesting smashed potato recipe, and a healthy dessert that combines cream cheese and ricotta with fruit. Thought I'd do thee canddlelight dinner thing....and try to avoid that dreaded BJ!!

I've made him cheesy little cards for the first 14 days. Like "I Whaley love you" with 2 whales and "Olive you" with a giant olive on it.

Then for the actual day, I bought him a bottle of nice wine he likes & I may go get some lingerie. Cuz that's definitely for him, not me!

Fun ideas I think I might send an edible arrangement to work, chances are he'll work late so he'll appreciate the snack.
Maybe I should do lunch instead. It's much easier to be sweet when i'm in town! lol.
Gina- You're a good wife! lol. awesome.

I didn't even think to check pinterest, off to search!

Katy- it's not too late they ship pretty quickly. It's www.StephanieWelsh.PureRomance.com you'll have to copy and paste, I don't want to link b/c of the nature of some of the products. There is a fun massage set they just intro'd for Vtines day that people are loving on. If you have any questions, lmk.

I do a card and little something each day from Feb 1 to Feb 14th.

I make 14 cards that have a special meaning to us and pick up little things all year round that I think he'll enjoy. Some days it's just a few dark chocolate Dove hearts. Yesterday it was a new Starbucks mug with a coffee themed card. A few days ago it was small teddy bear.

I try to do this each year. Since I usually leave the cards on the front seat of his card in the mornnings, he keeps them in the center console of the car and pulls them out and rereads them at stop lights throughout the year.

He got me the knock-off Pottery Barn project table that Costco has right now.

The question is not what I am doing for him, but what is he going to do for me? lol...

We don't really do Valentine's day in our family. Just too commercial. So, you can show me that you love me one day out of the year? I prefer that he show me all days of the year, which he most suredly does.

I was going to buy my DH a tool he wanted for woodworking. BUT, after a series of car and home break-ins in our area, we got a home security system instead. LOL. Happy Valentines to us!

I think we're going out to eat this weekend, so we're doing dinner and cards instead of actual gifts this time.

Two weeks later we are going to a resort in Mexico. It covers Christmas, birthdays, Valentines, etc.

Not sure yet. His birthday is the 17th, so trying to figure out budget wise to do both. May have just a quiet night in, cuddling, and then go out for his birthday instead.

We really don't do anything for Valentine's Day. We're still recovering from Christmas! We rent a condo at the beach for a month in the summer. We prefer that to any gifts throughout the year. The only reason I know it's valentine's day is because of the kids parties at school!

I'm going to attempt the conversation heart mini cheesecakes. I've never made cheesecake and I'm not much of a baker, so it could be interesting. I also got him a card.

We usually don't do anything so I doubt he'll be expecting anything. I doubt I'll get anything and I'm ok with that. I'll just eat cheesecake!

This is the link that compwalla posted on another thread.
