There is so much awesome product hitting the store at the moment. I so want to buy some. I need your encouragement to stay strong and keep frozen...
Suggestions? |

First off stop online shopping. Go into your scrap space if you have one and start scrapbooking with what you have as I find that curbs my need to shop when I spend time with all my stash. Don't impulse buy if you can help it. |

Just like amom23 said: I don't look or open all the daily deals e-mail...I have been scrapping like a mad-woman. |

I am having the same trouble. My daughter told me to grab an empty basket that I had supplies in and to shop my stash. She said that I could pretend I was in a lls and put things in my basket that I wanted to use on my next layout. I just might give it a try as I am desperate to save money, but really, really, wanting to shop. Good luck to you.

Put everything you want in your cart and then go scrap for a while. By the time you come back, it will be sold out. |

One thing that helped me when I worked at the lss was to give new product at least a week or sometimes two before I purchase. As you can imagine we got new stuff in all the time. But it was new and fresh and exciting so I always felt like I needed it. it Turns out once the newness wears off I didn't love it as much.
I also try to have a specific project for each purchase.

so funny and too true!
Some good ideas there. I'm going to try and do some of the Garden Girls challenges to get inspired.
I'm finding this release a bit harder to stay frozen because for the last couple of CHAs alot of the things coming out were similar to what I already had. But the new glitz is different, and I've never had any studio calico... But I'm staying strong! |

Yep ditch the emails from the scrapbook stores. Unsubscribe or get them marked as spam. Reduces the temptation.
If you have to browse, do what someone else says and add it to your cart. Everything that you like. Everything so that it totals an obscene amount. Then leave it overnight. Go back and check what you think you really want, get rid of things that are similar to what you already have or you like but can't imagine a way to use. Leave it overnight. Get the cash out of the bank and think do you really want to spend that cash on that basket of stuff or is there other things it would be better spent on?
We're in financial straits at the moment and this works for me.

I guess this way I still get the fun of going through and deciding what I like but don't have to actually spend the $$ to do it |

I've considered "mailing" myself unopened stuff from my stash. Maybe I'll use them. | |
