I figured it was a glitch, but wondered whether they would take away the glitch points. Looks like they did. That's sad, but I'm not surprised - classic 2Peas. I'd made a wishlist here but I'm back to shopping elsewhere! No worries - I didn't really lose anything, though I did post some layouts just because of the points.

In one fell swoop, I now have less than half the points I did an hour or so ago. Great.

I lost over 1000 points today, for whatever reason. And I've uploaded 2 layouts to the gallery that earned me zero points. What's going on here?? |

Huh? Lost almost half my points so am way below the 5% now. Oh well. I bought the class I wanted yesterday whilst I was temporarily qualified for the discount.
Going back to read what the problem was and for any clarifications. |

Oh yeah and checked ... no points awarded for these posts today.
I don't shop physical product here (well anywhere any more to be honest) and get my digital stuff being part of the digital CT. I do like the classes though.
I can see that the loyalty system does need to be more transparent and consistent as it not being either at the moment is alienating many people. |

Awww, it was just a computer glitch? It would have been so much more interesting if it had been a huge psychological experiment.
I "lost" more than 8,000 points over night but it doesn't really matter since I didn't know what to do with those points anyway.
At least I had a great time chatting here, and I got my latest projects uploaded to the gallery.

Last night before I went to bed I had lost like 4000 points, now this morning I checked ans they took Way ANOTHER 3000. The funny thing is that before, I didn't really care about points, but now I'm kinda mad at 2 peas for this crap. |

Dear 2Peas, I am so very disappointed.
I understand that times are tough financially and you had to make a decision that was best for you and your business. I truly understand, and I think most or all of my fellow Peas understand, because I think times are tough financially for a lot of us, too!
However, I do find your lack of response on the message board threads over the past week to address the point problem to be disappointing. To read your explanation in the middle of the night, AFTER everyone's points were drastically reduced felt like an afterthought. I know you are busy, and perhaps were unaware of the problem until very recently. But, if someone had been able to step up and let us all know there was a problem and it was going to be fixed before the fervor of the possibility of earning points and getting close to receiving a discount took over the whole message board, I think most of us would have been understanding.
It was a lot of fun to see lurker peas coming out, and seeing the gallery so active! That is the kind of positive effect and good community building that I would expect from a loyalty programme!
The new loyalty programme and the way it is being handled does not feel like it involves much loyalty. It feels like something tangible has been taken from us, repeatedly and without warning.
To go from having a 15% discount to a 5% discount with zero warning at all was insulting, and it hurt -- my feelings, and my pocket book. It feels not like I am now paying full price for my supplies, but that I am actually paying you 10% MORE for my shopping trips.
Reducing the percent discount felt like it took money right out of my pocket.
Now, with the new point-based system having a dollar equivalent in the store (10 points =1$ spent), having points taken away feels again, like money TAKEN from me. While the points may have been earned erroneously due to your programming errors, when I see my points drop by 7,000, I see that as a 700$ loss in my total. To earn those points back I would need to spent 700$ in your store.
The loyalty programme, the point system, and the way it has been handled does not make me feel good about shopping here. It does not excite me and make me want to buy. It does not even make me want to post more, because frankly, earning a total of 7500 points for the year is really only a small contribution to the very large requirements for the discount level I had earned previously.
I am not sure my reasoning or feelings on this will make sense to you, or anyone else, but I really feel compelled to share this with you.
I don't expect you to change your programme, I don't expect anything in response to this.
But I do hope that the next time there is a meeting and you ask the 2Peas team "what can we do to make this community better?" you will think about some of the things that your customers and community members have said. Because I know you want 2Peas to be a great place -- and it is!
We want 2Peas to be a great place, too -- and it is!
You KNOW I love you, 2Peas. I know you know it. 2Peas is my scrapbooking home. It is truly a true story when I say I would not be a scrapbooker if it wasn't for 2Peas, and for that I will always be thankful and appreciative. |

I apologize I did not see this thread sooner and for the confusion and frustration. I'm sorry this wasn't working smoothly for you and now you feel disappointed you've lost points. I hope you can bear with us and understand this reduced point total is momentary, and that we will issue credit for your community participation in February as quickly as we can. You will not be shorted any points that were properly earned.
We apologize for the error and like we've posted in our announcement thread, are working hard to correct this as quickly as possible. |

I usually do not get upset over things like this but I had close to 12,000 points two days ago, made a BIG order (should have given me close to 6000 points if I figured it right) and today I am BELOW 7000 WTheck!?!?!?! |

You will not be shorted any points that were properly earned.
"Properly earned" implies that the points they took back were 'improperly earned'... I did not 'improperly earn' anything - Two Peas improperly awarded them... Their fault, not any Pea's fault... I find that to be incredibly insulting... I post when I can be helpful or if I have a question, I participate in challenges and follow the rules because that's good sportsmanship, and I've told many people about how great this place is...
I'll admit that I'm jealous that some Peas were able to take advantage of their 'improperly' earned points... If I had realised my points were temporary then I would've rushed in an order, but instead I was waiting for a few new things to show up so I could place a *larger* order... I'm glad some Peas did get the benefits of the points - no hard feelings there... Just sucks for me...
If there had been a ledger or chequebook type thing for me to check when and how I was earning/loosing points I would've been able to see that my 'improperly' earned points were a numerical error instead of some mystery bonus... Of course, if bonuses had been properly presented to us then I might also have suspected an error instead of a bonus... It's hard not to reach the conclusion that the point program was either rushed into effect or not fully thought out...
The law where I live is that the customer pays the lowest price - if it rings up more at the register, the price is adjusted to the sticker price... The business eats the mistake, not the customer... I don't feel comfortable doing business with a company that passes their mistakes onto customers... |

There was something amiss that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but this hits the nail on the head. Thank you! Yes, it's insulting, but I chalk it up to it could've been worded better, not to purposeful malice. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Oh, I totally agree - I don't think it was malice or intended, I think it was a bad choice of words... I just don't like being in relationships that make me feel bad and stuff like that gets under my skin so... I love the members, their projects, the videos, but the shopping experience isn't enjoyable... Going to focus on the good and start ignoring the business side of things... |

I just realized today that after I did my calculation that 2peas is giving us max 325 points for uploading a image and 300 max for posting on the threads total of 625x12 (months) =7500 so am kinda wondering how the heck are we to ever get to 50,00 in a year unless we spend $4,300 in your store. Yikes that is a lot of money before you get that 15% discount.

Yes, the point totals have been discussed before and the amount of points awarded for certain things. Those numbers came out before CHA.
Everyone getting more points than 5 per post max of 300 per month were because of a glitch in the system, hence the topic of this and many other threads over the end of last week and this past weekend. |

Sorry one more thing, if people aren't getting points now for posting, it is because they already reached their max for the month.
Even during the glitch, my points stopped increasing and I counted my posts up and it is because I had already gone over 60 posts for the month, which is still the max number of posts that count toward the points regardless of whether they were awarding the proper 5 points per or the increased amount during the glitch.
I do still stand by my statement though that glitch or not, obviously people were participating to earn the points, it just was an increased amount of points. That was not the fault of any of the posters and Two Peas should have let those points stand, especially in light of the current unpopularity of this new program. |
