I really want to see the movie.

My only question is does it end bad or good?

I hate paying for movies that depress me.

I just read the book last week, I liked it. It is typical Nicholas Sparks but doesn't end horrible like Message in a Bottle.

I saw the movie last night (sneak peek) - I didn't read the book. The movie was pretty good but the acting was not always the best.

As far as the ending - you won't be left depressed - it ends the way you want it to and actually has a tiny bit of a surprise that makes the ending even better.

I thought the book was fantastic - not your typical sappy Sparks book. There is a twist in there that I totally didn't see in the beginning and makes it interesting! I'm really looking forward to the movie - hope it's as good as the book...usually I enjoy the books more than the movie, they totally killed the "Dear John" movie!

I can't wait to see it!

And Message in a bottle was an absolute nightmare...had I known it would end like that I would have never watched the movie...

Glad its not a depressing ending!

I just saw this last night with my girls' night out group and it's a total ...

, even.

haha

I read somewhere that fans are dissing all the reviews and flocking to see this! I mean, I really wasn't expecting it to be that good either. And I love Southport and enjoyed seeing all the familiar scenery.

The guy who plays Monroe so well on Revolution just NAILED the part of the cop-on-the-edge stalker.. man, that guy is a good actor. A little old for Julianne Hough but so is Ryan Seacrest

Somebody stop me...

Anyway avoid the spoilers if you can. I'm glad I did!

I read the book and it ends good. But there's lots of not good in the middle.

You know I'm pretty sure Nicholas Sparks plagarized Nancy Price's "Sleeping with the Enemy" in so many instances, it was almost the exact same thing. The only difference is one ran away, and the other faked her death. Total copycat imo.

I loved the movie! Josh Duhamel and Ryan Seacrest look like twins to me. Julianne looked so short next to Josh.

I answered earlier that I'd read the book last year and really enjoyed it. Sunday I went to see the movie and I really enjoyed the movie, too! It keept a whole lot closer to the story in the book, than most N. Sparks movies seem to (Dear John was horrible!).

I did not read the book and just saw the movie. I thought the same thing! Nicholas Sparks must be running out of ideas. That being said he has a beautiful home showcased in People this week, so plagarism has been good to him.

Movie was good and I liked the few surprising twists and turns.

I read the book first, then saw the movie. I enjoyed the book a little more than the movie. It will not leave you feeling depressed.

Just saw it this afternoon and was very pleasantly surprised. And I was prepared not to like this movie! LOL! I've read the book and knew that, as with most of Sparks' stuff, the movie would be different. I started off watching and comparing it to the book, but then got drawn into the movie itself--it held my attention.

I was also prepared not to like Julianne Hough as a main character, but she was pretty good. Not a great actress, but very likeable in this role. Much better than I'd anticipated. And Josh Duhamel was well cast--not so popular that you were caught up in him and not in his character.

The guy who plays Monroe so well on Revolution just NAILED the part of the cop-on-the-edge stalker.. man, that guy is a good actor.
He WAS good!

And once again, Nicholas Sparks sucked me in...wasn't gonna cry, but darn if I didn't tear up!

I haven't seen the movie yet but I am really looking forward to it. Just going off the preview I noticed they changed the little girl's name and the guy's hair is not grey.

I thought it was a good book with a good ending. I also thought I wouldn't cry (which is typical for me for a Nicholas Sparks book) but I did. But it was a good twist. I can't wait to see the movie.

I did read "Sleeping with the Enemy" way back in the day (and saw the movie) and while it felt similar to that book, it was a bit different.

The ending was good.
