I need to subdivide my Pinterest scrapping board into categories - it's not efficient any longer to find anything.
Would love to hear your scrapping-related Pinterest board names!
What can I post about?

I had one board called scrapbook pages but now I am dividing it into seperate boards Scrappy Circles, Scrappy Hearts, etc this way I can find my pins easier!
|It was fate that I would enjoy paper crafts...my name is Sharmon (like the TP)!
|Posted: 2/8/2013 7:22:24 AM|I just have a few divisions. Here are my boards.
Scrapliftable - (where I put most things that catch my eye. But if there's something specific about a page that I like/want to remember, I put it in:
Scrapliftable - Full Pattern (for pages that use papers that have full backgrounds or those photo-real type papers)
Scrapliftable - One Pic One Page
Scrapliftable - No Pictures
Scrapliftable - 2 Page
Scrapliftable - Unlayered (This one is recent. I'm noticing a trend of de-clustering elements and have put some examples on this board)
Embellishments - I put pages here if there's a specific embellishment idea that I want to remember.

I have many boards related to scrapping. You might try dividing yours up by the way you think about looking at layouts. Maybe by color? design? number of photos?
I could list my boards, but it's easier to just take a quick peek. The link is below my signature.

SUE: I tried to figure out why I pinned what I pinned. Never thought of doing it by thinking of what attracts me to the layout. Thanks, Sue, for suggesting that. Your boards are amazing and so organized, thus also efficient. And your home boards are also full of ideas!
Thanks, Rebecca. I love that Unlayered board. And tpgirl: it goes along with what attracts me to a board.

|Posted: 2/8/2013 8:00:40 AM|Now you've got me wondering if I should reorganise mine... at the moment I only have "Scrapbooking", "Scrapping wishlist" and "Techniques". Will be watching this thread for some ideas, great post

|Posted: 2/8/2013 8:10:32 AM|My boards directly related to paper crafting:
One Little Word
ATC and Trays
Scrap Area Organization
CHA Favorites & Trends
I thought I had a Sketches board as well, but that's sitting on Scrappypedia's Pinterest boards that are exclusively dedicated to papercrafting and scrap area organization.
|Posted: 2/8/2013 8:11:38 AM|Here are my boards. I have
12 x 12
Cards...and that one was getting too big so I made two other card boards for Birthday and Christmas.
I also have a Crafty Goodness board that I'm working on pulling all the paper crafts from it to a new Paper Crafts board.

I sort them by number of photos. So I have boards for 1 photo layouts, 2 photo layouts, etc.
Layout and placement is my biggest hurdle when I start scrapping. Now when I sit down to work, I call up the board with pages that use the same number of pictures as what I've got to help give me a kickstart.
During CHA I also created a "Scrappy Stuff Wishlist" board to help me keep track of things I'd like to order.

I have one board called Scrappy Stuff but I really need to organize it into separate boards. Thanks for the good ideas!
What are you looking at?

I've been thinking of sub-dividing as well. You actually just made me realize that while I have slightly more creative/cute names for all my other boards, every single one of my scrappy boards have plain names! For example, 'Scrapbooking' vs. 'Classy and Fabulous' (clothes) or 'Prints Charming' (prints, obviously). You'd think the scrappy ones would be most creative!
I do have 5 scrappy Pinterest Boards - December Daily, Project Life, Mini Albums, Scrap Rooms, and Scrapbooking. But the Scrapbooking one needs to be broken down further - maybe into overall layout, colors, technique, etc.

Great ideas. And glad to inspire other peas!
I have over 700 pins on the one board. I cannot really use it efficiently. Kinda like too many t-shirts for dh. They get out of control and while all are shirts, they all share some qualities and are different in other ways.
We see so many opportunities to declutter, rearrange, reorganize, and enjoy the results of that in our homes or at work but I have to start to do that on Pinterest. Otherwise, it's just a time-waster and not an inspiration or useful in some way.

Journal your heART out (art journaling)

CHA sneak peeks - which is 2 pages, so quite a big board
Loc: Wouldn't you like to know. LOL
|Posted: 2/8/2013 10:12:08 AM|Great thread. I have:
Scrapbook Pages--no pics
Scrapbook Room Organization

Let's see, at this time I have one general "scrappy" board, but I probably need to take the sketches onto one for that and just leave the layouts and cute embellishment ideas on Scrappy. I also have cards and fonts.
For art journals, because I'm not getting most of my inspiration on Two Peas and therefore not bookmarking them, I have three categories. A main one, spiritually focused art journals, and "hearts in art."

-Blast from the Past (inspiration for my About Me album)
-Color the World (color inspiration)
-Crafty Goodness (non-scrapping, non-cardmaking crafting)
-Downloads (free and low-cost items to download for projects)
-How True, How True (quotes and sayings and thoughts on life to use on pages, cards)
-It's Beginning to Look... (Christmas decor, craft projects, etc.)
-Ooh, I Have an Idea (all sorts of projects)
-Organize It (organizing ideas, not just for craft spaces)

-Quotes & Sayings (to use on cards, layouts)
-Recycle It (recycling & repurposing ideas)
-When I Have a Free Moment (projects, techniques & tools to try)

I am going to go back and change some titles to more standard naming so it's easier for others to find them based on keyword searches. I also plan to go back and add #tags and keywords to every pin. Uh yeah, big project!
Thanks to everyone who shared their boards - I have new boards to follow now!

|Posted: 2/8/2013 1:40:05 PM|Here is mine - I have 1000's of pins AND I print them all for my idea binder.
I don't look at a layout that's themed "baby" and think only "baby". I could get an idea for christmas from that layout so instead of themes I do it by type.
I have :
Scrapbook Techniques (for learning new things)
Scrapbook layouts (for 1 pagers)
2 page layouts (for those double pagers)
Scrapbook DIY (for things I want to make)
DIY (other items made using scrapbook supplies)
Home DIY (home decor I'll make using scrappy supplies)
Altered Items (for items such as wreaths, calendars, etc)
Gift Ideas (mostly scrap items, but some others)
Pins I've done (and my personal review so I know whether to try it again)
And of course other home decor, DIY, holiday crafts, etc boards!

I am gonna have to start dividing my scrapbook board up, it's huge. At a minimum I need to divide the stuff layouts from the scrap spaces from the projects like OLW, Dec Daily and PL.
