You're positive it was eligible? If so, they didn't send an email about a delay? I ordered a prime item recently that was taken to the wrong UPS hub by mistake so it took several extra days. Amazon sent me an email about it.

Weird. Could it be that the item did not qualify for Prime? Or maybe it was out of stock and now back in stock?

I've always had my order within 2 business days. I'd be annoyed too.

I ordered it last night (9 pm EST) and expected it to come Monday, since that's business days. It said Prime eligible. It's showing as an estimated delivery of Wednesday.

I'm on a trial of Prime and so far NOT impressed. Nothing's come when it's said it would

Does your item have to travel across an area that has this storm? That is pretty much the only thing that ever holds up my shipment.

I don't know. THAT I could understand though. But it hasn't even shipped yet and as soon as I ordered it that was the estimate. So I could see if it got held up in the storm? But pre-storm??

Sometimes when you buy it, there is a notation under the item that it usually ships in xxx days. This can happen even if it's Prime eligible and I think it's usually when it's not being shipped directly by Amazon.

Maybe the warehouse is affected by the storm, like someone else said.

I ordered a book yesterday and it was on my porch today when I got home from work. It's magic, I'm sure. lol

It's been storming all over the mid-west and east coast since yesterday, perhaps they have built that into the estimate?

Does anyone see anything about it taking longer

Anyway, annoyed!

Weekends are not considered business days so they would be counting the 2days from Monday which makes a Wednesday delivery make sense.

Is it a Subscribe & Save item? If you subscribe and receive the extra discount then it doesn't ship 2 days, everyone gets a subscribe and save day and they combine all of your items in one shipment. Maybe that's the case? Everything I've ordered that was Prime eligible, other than S&S items, has shown up in 1-2 days.

Wait a second. If you ordered that late yesterday doesn't count. So you need to count Friday and Monday. It should be to you on Tuesday. If it doesn't come, email them. Their CS is good.

Look at your actual UPS tracking data, that will let you know if there is a weather delay.

I know it's business days. But I thought 2 business days would be TODAY and MONDAY. So while I thought it would arrive Monday (and another order placed an hour earlier is "estimated to arrive" Monday), I wouldn't have been surprised or upset by Tuesday. But Wednesday?? That is 4 business days.

I can't track it yet either, because all it says is "shipping soon" and when I click on shipping details it says it will ship in the next few hours or days??

ETA: Actually I placed the other order 2nd. And it is showing "Shipped" now with a delivery time of Monday. The 2nd order was placed around 9 pm EST yesterday. THIS order was placed around 6 pm EST yesterday (according to my email confirmations)

Yesterday still doesn't count. I think the cut off is 3pm est, but I could be wrong. And they ship from different locations which is why one might ship after the other.

Maybe it is because I am clicking on the link from my iPhone, but it doesn't show as Prime eligible on my phone.

It just says free super saver shipping with a $25 order.

Yes today counts and Monday. That is why I said to email if you don't get it by Tuesday. I bet it will be updated as it ships.

I love Prime and have not had any issues with it. There have been two things in all my many shipments that were delayed for some reason, and they always sent an email.

Your item says ships in 1-2 business days and free 2-day shipping once item is available which to me says that the items always takes 1 or 2 extra days to ship but you will get it in 2 days after it ships.

Really though, Prime is awesome!!

Agree with above poster...for some reason this item takes longer, it takes 1 to 2 days to become available to ship, then amazon gets it to you in the free 2 day shipping.

This isn't the norm. I have had prime for years & also haven't ever had trouble...and I often get things quicker...like a book or movie sometimes shows up next day. But, I live near a warehouse so that helps when it's an in demand, popular item.

I placed an order on Tuesday for several items and placed another order on Wednesday for one item. Everything arrived on Thursday and were shipped from 4 different locations. I am trying out Amazon Prime too, and so far, I'm okay with it. It may be that something is coming from an area that was expected to be hit by snow. Hope you get it sooner than they project.

Well last night wouldn't count it would be the same as if you ordered it today and if I try and order it it also says delivery on Wed. I am wondering about a holiday on Monday to push it a day. I would think Tuesday but if they tell you up front before you place the order there isn't too much you can do. I have had things arrive earlier than they say and had things arrive a day late. Overall though I think that Prime is usually great.

I placed an order late last night for multiple items. All said the expected delivery date would be Tuesday. Today I got an email that all the items have been shipped (2 different shippings) and are expected to be delivery by 8pm on Monday. I live in Lancaster County and one package was shipped from Carlisle (west of Harrisburg) and the other from Allentown. They don't have far to travel so they will be here early. They also are items that are common so I think they probably can be shipped out of any other their distribution centers.

The item you ordered isn't something that a ton of people would order so they might only have it available out of one of their centers. That warehouse could be on the west coast or in the area that is getting hit with a lot of snow. It could also be that once it does ship you will see that they change the expected delivery date.

I ordered a food item for my mom late at night the Thursday before Christmas. A message displayed saying that even though it was Prime eligible extra time was needed for that particular item and the expected delivery date was Dec. 28. It wasn't something that was needed for Christmas so it wasn't a problem for it to take longer. I was shocked when I found out it was delivered to her door around 10am on Monday Dec. 24. That was during my free trial and convinced me that Prime is worth having.
