Our city declared a snow emergency and we are happily stuck inside. I'm grateful to have a fully stocked freezer and we are having pork chops and cheesy scalloped potatoes.

What's for dinner at your house?

Just roasted a chicken and am making brown rice. We have lots of junk too, so it'll probably be M&Ms later....

Lentil soup with sausage, chard, and garlic. Only I'm using chicken sausage and spinach.

French Toast...just because we haven't had it in forever. Probably should be conserving the bread, milk, and eggs instead, LOL, but oh well, it was worth it!

I shopped yesterday on the way home from work!

Pork tenderloin, yellow rice, green beans, dinner rolls.

I wanted to make Hungarian Goulash, but had no paprika

So that will have to be for dinner on Sunday.

Leftovers- some pot roast, some noodles, some Chinese fried rice, some broccoli, some chicken breast and some steamed carrots and peas. Not enough of any one dish for more than a person so its more like a buffet. I may have to fill in with some soup- I have about 2 cups of beef barley left over too...

Fajitas! Possibly by candlelight cause the lights keep flickering.

I'm in the so called "jackpot" area with a possibility of 30+.
I love this stuff, as long as the electricity doesn't go out for too long and we loose heat. So I say bring it on!

I don't really have a recipe because the jerk spice mix is made by a friend and I have NO idea what is in it! LOL

I marinate the chicken in the spices overnight. Then grill the chicken and make the pasta with homemade alfredo sauce. I normally serve it with some sort of steamed veggie.

DD eats gluten free/soy free, so I made her a crustless quiche this morning and a big pot of chicken and rice soup for supper. Lunch was BLTs for all of us girls, hers on Udi's bread, and I made DH a broccoli and spinich calzone.

I've been a busy girl in that kitchen today, and may I add, all my dishes and laundry are done.

A frozen pizza that I had in the house. DD was supposed to be at dance from 430 to 830 and it was going to be date night. Instead, dance was cancelled, DH had lots of traffic getting home and we had frozen DiGiorno...like delivery (not).

I also make a pot of beef stew when it snows. So that's what we are having. Just baked some chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Yummy! Here's to hoping we don't lose power and we can cook tomorrow too.

We had french toast, also! Had to use all those eggs, milk, and bread I bought yesterday. It was really good.

And chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

DH had to work today so picked up a pizza on his way home in the snow. We have battened down the hatches for tonight. Dinner tomorrow night will likely be spaghetti and meatballs with a green salad.

I have made this, and I will vouch for its deliciousness.

I'm not snowed in here. We went out-- B4D. I had an egg white omelette, turkey bacon, and fresh fruit. Stay warm and safe, everyone.

we weren't snowed in, but it was snowing and the wind was blowing quite a bit. I made potato soup with cream cheese and cheddar. crumbled up a little bacon and some sour cream on top and it was delicious!
