The book is excellent. I have not seen the movie.

My LeighJane Reading:

"Rellybean - You would love to be a sexy siren but you don't see yourself in that way, maybe you don't believe in yourself but you should, you are gorgeous and lots of people see it! You are sweet and accepting and try not to judge people. Sometimes I think people could take advantage of your kindness."

I went with my teen daughter, having no knowledge of the book and really NOT looking forward to it. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

I didn't really like the book.

You can't argue with popularity. Well, you could, but you'd be wrong.

I've seen the movie but have not read the book. I really liked it and I'm pretty sure it made me cry at the end.

Emma Watson's first scene in the movie really threw me off and I thought she was terrible. It took me a couple minutes to figure out why - she was speaking with an American accent. Once I got used to it, she was fine to watch.

I saw the movie, then read the book. I liked the movie, although I wasn't really prepared for some of the subject matter.

My 19 yo DS said it was a fantastic movie, and he was unexpectedly moved. However, I have to say, I think that's because of his age. He said it hit home for him. He even preordered the BluRay, that's how much he liked it.

I'm excited to see it; it got great reviews. Bully also comes out this week on DVD; can't wait to see that with my kids.

I saw it with my daughter and really liked it. I was kind of a "wallflower" in high school so I could definitely relate. I also LOVED the soundtrack.

I saw the trailer, love Emma Watson & had to see it.

I knew nothing about it going in.

I liked it but was really surprised at the dark aspects of the movie.

DD works in a video rental shop (yes, we still have one in our small town!) and was able to bring it home before it was released to the public.

She came down for dinner last night, all red & puffy eyed. She just said "movie" and didn't want to elaborate and start crying again! LOL

I haven't watched it yet. I've got a nasty cold, so I don't feel the urge to watch a movie that will make my nose run even more! LOL

My whole family really liked it. It is definitely darker than the trailer shows --lots of unexpected subject matter.

I read the book when it first came out. I didn't like it then so I probably won't see the movie version of it.
