And these are the winners: duncan hines red velvet crinkle cookies !

If you make them, don't leave out the lemon zest, it absolutely makes the cookie!

I made a similar cookie at Christmas but did not use a mix. I will have to look later and see if I still have the recipe.

Should have asked me. I found those along time ago. Made them to give away 2 Christmas' in a row. They are now on the official Christmas cookie list of approved choices.

I'm trying to work out whether 'powdered sugar' is what I call 'icing sugar' and 'cornstarch' is the same as 'cornflour'??? I would like to make these today.

Powder sugar and icing sugar are the same thing. Corn starch is a thickening agent and is known as cornflour in the UK, so I assume it's the same thing in Australia.

Is your cornflour coarse? Corn starch is really fine, the same consistency as the icing sugar. Or you could use cream of tartar, like somebody did in the comments section.

Thanks girls! Cornflour is very fine, so yes it is the same as cornstarch.
