I was making ribbons for tags to a mini-album. I sprayed the ink down first and rolled the seam binding in it. The first color was a light pink. No problem, didn't notice anything. The next color was Dragonfly from Tattered Angels. A VERY BRIGHT blue. Right away I knew I had a problem. I finished quickly and dried the ribbon and used a baby wipe on my palm. Came inside and went to the kitchen sink to use some dish soap. It got a bit lighter but now I am thinking I need to make sure I have something to wear to church tomorrow with this hue in there somewhere. Maybe I will start some new fashion trend. What do ya think?!?!

DH says he knows I have has a good day when he catches me "blue handed". I am partial to aqua but I didn't realize how often bluenis the ink color all over my hands until he said that. It is a badge of honor - wear it with pride!

Wash your hair. I took a Glimmer Mist class by Tattered Angels at CKC once and that's what the instructor told us to do. I guess there's something in shampoo and the roughness of your hair on your hands as your wash? Not sure what it is but it almost always does the trick for me!

You're not alone. I have just finished a project with ORANGE ink... even the nails are tainted.

If you lived here, we might look like twins. I've had blue and green marker ink all over my fingers since some intensive stamping this morning. It only partially washed off with soap and water.

I can't ink without getting it all over my hands. I usually just pour a little bleach on my hands and it comes right off. Rubbing alcohol works too but it may take several applications with a cotton ball.

Every year at Girl Scout Daycamp I help the girls with their Tie-dye Tee's...I cannot stand rubber gloves so I wear my blue/red/purple hands with a sense of pride every year for 2 days. The hair washing sometimes does work or sometimes I scrub the bathroom to help tone down the smurf hands!

It was fate that I would enjoy paper crafts...my name is Sharmon (like the TP)!

Do you have any powdered cleanser ( like Comet) sprinkle, scrub, rinse. Most of it has bleach and the powder helps with the scrubbing.

Then lather on lots of lotion because anything with bleach is really hard on the hands

Ranger makes something called the "Craft Scrubbie". I found it for $4.99 at a stamp store so it's fairly cheap. Anyway, that thing works like magic for getting ink off of my hands. The packaging says it cleans ink, paints, glues, and other craft mediums from hands.

I just got and tried it this week and it works!

As others suggested, I usually find that after I shower and wash (or just condition) my hair the ink is gone or mostly gone.

Well, duh!! Never thought of the stamp cleaner. Sadly, I no longer wear my badge of honor. After doing various cleaning things around the house today, no more blue palm.

I recently purchased my first tub of Viva's Inka Gold. The stuff is AMAZING.

But when I was done turning my chipboard letters a beautiful, sparkly blue, my hands were a mess. I scrubbed and scrubbed but finally gave up when I had it down to a faint hue of blue around my finger nails & tips.

About an hour later I noticed that my DD2 (14 months) had a strange blue streak on her face. It turns out I had it on my ARMS and it had gotten on her clothes, hands, and face. On closer examination, I found I had it on MY FACE as well!! The stuff gets EVERYWHERE.

But it really is pretty! And works really well, too. I don't care who sees me 'blue' if my page turns out the way I want.
