Do you keep the hard black plastic thing that comes in WRMK binders?

And if so, do you put it in the front or the back? Those things have always confused me. What are they even for? Helping turn the pages, or so the pages don't get too floppy or something?

We have them in our merchandising binders at work. They go in the front and it is used to weigh the pages down so they don't slip on the opening in the rings. At least thats what one of my mangers said. Who knows if he knows but he sure sounded like he did. lol.

I do keep it in the front. It protects the first page protector from rubbing from the front cover.

I think I saw something about this on Becky Higgins' blog. It helps protect your layouts or something. I've seen people decorate them in cute ways so they aren't just plain.

ETA: Elise Blaha Cripe is the first one I thought of that decorated it. Check out her 2013 pl title page post on her blog, it's really cute!

Yes, I always keep them... I have no idea what they are for, but I'm absolutly certian that as soon as I remove them, something disastorious will happen

I also don't pull the tags off of pillows and mattresses.

The very first album I bought I removed the plastic piece from the front of the album and now the first 5 page protectors try to curl up into the ring mechanism

now I don't take it out, but I plan to eventually get around to decorating them with pretty paper.

Also, for the one album I don't have that on, and for the AC albums I have that don't include the plastic flap, I am going to diy some out of a chipboard mini album. Crossing my fingers that it will work.

That's me. I only have 2 WRMK albums but I've kept them on the front. Figured they put them there for a reason.

I've always wondered what they were for and am glad to know now. I have always left them there and am glad I did!!!
