Nothing! Absolutely nothing!

I'm having a date with my couch and the television.

It's a much needed "downtime".

What are you doing this weekend?

Pretty much the same thing here, nothing at all this weekend, the kids activities yesterday were cancelled. I just rediscovered private Practice, so I am watching that on Netflix.

We have a long weekend in BC Canada this weekend, plus the girls are off school an extra day, so we have 4 days of mostly relaxing and unplanned, spontaneous fun. Having dh home with us an extra day is also great.

I was sick yesterday, so we're doing EVERYTHING today. Once I get off the couch.

Just finished binding another quilt and now washing it.

Next I need to make an embroidered label for a quilt that is awaiting binding, and then I'll bind that one too.

I'm so excited that I've figured out how to label the quilts the way I want them to be. That was my Saturday!

I have 2 more left to label, bind, then I can start another.

Pretty much the same thing Lauren! I'm on call, so there's no sense trying to get anything done. If the phone rings I'm off to the hospital.

I'm sitting here watching North and South. I remember seeing it when I was in high school. Patrick Swazee was so young!

When I used to work I had one day a month that was my veg day. That was rent movies, stay in pajamas all day and eat comfort foods(which can be healthy, cause I know you eat healthy meals.) Afterwards I always felt so refreshed and ready to face the week. So, I vote for you enjoying every second of your relaxing weekend.

I did nothing yesterday. NO. THING.

Today, I'm CLEANING.

I need to tidy up and declutter as friends are coming on Friday to take measurements for new carpeting upstairs (hooray!). My downstairs is already ceramic pavers.

If they weren't friends, I wouldn't feel so self-conscious about the clutter. Heehee.

However, I do need to get stuff under control for when it actually has to be moved all around during the actual carpeting process.

These are the times I miss having a spouse.

Yesterday I worked but today, the same as you. We are on movie #1 but have about 4 more available if we choose. Just ordered a pizza, hanging out and loving it.

ME TOO! I did nothing yesterday, except go out to breakfest with dh (he asked me for the fist time...ever!) and then asked me out for dinner with friends! Shocker!
Kids are at my brothers for the weekend and I caught up on Downton Abby and Shameless. Love both of those shows!

It's Sunday here. I am sitting in my recliner with my cat on my lap, watching dancing on ice, before catching 'call the midwife' and 'mr Selfridge' later.I have 3 hospital appointments this week, including follow up with my oncologist (gulp) so I was determined to have a relaxing, do nothing day today.

Pretty much the same thing for me...

Except I'm fighting a nasty cold, so I'm couched because I feel a tad crappy.

But I'm getting all caught up on the show Supernatural. Two seasons down, a few more to go!

Saturday was active. My 7yo DGS stays over on Friday nights, he and his 12yo cousin (who lives with me) play golf on Saturday mornings, and it's lucky me who takes them every week. One does 5 holes, the other does 9, I walk with the 5er and although it's only 1 klm, it takes 1.5 hours with lots of standing around while the bunch of them are hitting.

They don't play during school holidays, so after 8 weeks of not going, my feet were killing me. But it's good excercise, which I need. So on Saturday nights the DGD (little guys big sister) has to have her turn at a sleepover, so Saturdays are taken up for me, but I enjoy the time with them.

So Sunday was my relax day. I should have been scanning photos, but I didn't do a darn thing. Just sat around and let my feet recover from the day before.

Our youngest dd and her boyfriend are here, which I adore both of them. Then my gds came for a couple of days to see them. He lives in Orlando now so it's a two hour drive over where we are in the winter. DD and our gds haven't been able to see each other for a year due to moves and jobs so they loved spending the time together.

They are as close as a brother and sister because youngest dd was born when her sister was 17 - so grandson and aunt are only 5 years apart.

Then my brother drove over with his gdd so we have had a wonderful family weekend which is now winding down.

My 18 yo DD left Thurs for Thescon, so DH and I spent Fri and most of Sat practicing being empty nesters. We ate out Fri, then lay on the bed together and watched some Tivod shows. The shows were irrelevant, the time together was awesome.

Sat he took the pup out for their weekly " Dad and Furry Child" time, and they brought me coffee and pastries home. We spent the day with him working in his office, which is right outside the master bedroom, and with me watching TV. We visited back and forth, and he came in pretty often to watch something I found amusing.

DD came home Sat evening, and I promptly made her mad, so she spent the night in her room. DH and I watched a Bond movie together, then he gave me another of my Valentine's Week gifts - a Yamaha sound bar for the TV- and then he installed it. Sound was the last thing we needed to have our home theater set to go, so I was really excited. We had to watch the next Bond movie, just to be sure it was working right. lOL

This morning was a repeat of yesterday, and now DH and the pup are napping, DD is still pouting, and I am piled up in bed peaking. Tonight, DH and I may rent a movie on the Apple TV.

It's been a great weekend.

Marcy
