I was reading another thread (don't even know which one it was) and someone mentioned watching North and South (with Patrick Swayze). I read those books in HS and loved the mini-series. I check every so often to see if it is available digitally--and it hasn't been. But when I read that thread, I checked on Amazon again and YES! It finally is.

So...my butt has been glued to the couch for 4 hours. It's so fantastically cheesy. It's Dynasty set in the 1860's. And a literal Parade of Stars...I mean it's got Robert Mitchum, Gene Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor!

How I miss the 80's!

I read this thread earlier today and it made me think of all the old mini series. I looked up Winds of War on Netflix and have sat on my couch reliving WWII! It was my favorite long ago! Thanks for posting the thread!

Oh man!

I don't need any more Netflix temptations!! LOL

I've only just finished Season 2 of Supernatural, with 3, 4, 6 & 7 to go! I'm skipping Season 5 - DD has the DVD set so I've seen all of them!

Don't feel that bad...I sat down at 10am when it started and watched until 7:30pm! Granted it did make lunch, dinner, put stuff in the crock pot for this week, laundry, and a bunch of other misc work - that could all be done within the tv viewing area! lol
