Okay so have never even touched a copic marker. I am thinking of taking a beginning class and a nearby LSS. You need to purchase some Copics to have for the class so I have been researching and am confused what is the difference between what the call a Copic Marker and a Copic Sketch. It looks like they come in some of the same colors. And which type would I need for the class????

Any help is appreciated.

They are essentially the same. Same nibs, same ink. Sketch has more ink, which is why they are more expensive. The Sketch come in all of the colors (358), the Ciao in about 150 colors. I prefer the Sketch because they are easier to find in stores, and I MUST have the color number on the caps---the Ciao do not. (although you can put a sticker on them or write on the cap)
