Visited a PB yesterday for a different purchase. We were out of town, 3 1/2 hours away. They had a beautiful bed set up in the store. I fell in love with it.

They didn't have 2 parts of the set in stock, so it didn't matter at the time.

So, I went looking for it at PB on-line. The pics do not do this justice at all. Anyway, the items that I want are not on sale. But, I don't want to miss out on them.

I'm not familiar with the store and how sales, stock and such work. Is it safe to wait?

I'm thinking of buying the most important pieces right now, sale or not. Then, buying the rest over the next couple of months.

My experience is that I always try to hold out for the sale - and every.danged.time the item I want is out of stock by the time the sale comes.

If you truly want it and don't want to take the chance of missing it - buy it now.

I agree to get it now. Pottery Barn is hit or miss for sales. It seems like every time I really want something it is gone for sale time especially furniture.

Don't wait!! I shop online at pottery barn fairly frequently. From my experience everything cute sells out super fast.

The only things I have ever had luck with on sale were items that the carry year round like towels, lunch kits (pbkids), the PB classic couch, etc. Everything else usually is out of stock by the time the sale rolls around. You might have better luck with a coupon if you sign up for their mailing list.

If you really want something buy it now. Stock in the sales is very hit or miss. And a lot of things never go on sale.

Occasionally bedroom furniture will be 10-15% off so in the grand scheme of things, it's not really a lot to save. Especially if you're afraid it will sell out.

Get it now! I waited for some bedding to go on sale and it was sold out. Then a year later they happened to have it again and it was on sale! That was the luckiest day ever-but not the norm. PB stuff sells out quickly!

If available in your area, check out a Pottery Barn Outlet. You may find all of the items on your wish list at a reduced price; even if you only find a few, that'll make paying retail for the remaining items not so difficult!

Open a PB credit card account, use the discount, and buy it now.
