I hear you and know what you mean.
I feel so sorry for our local school teachers. Due to hurricane Sandy, we do not have a 3 day weekend. Actually it would have been a 4 day weekend as they had today off also and put both back ) They put the days back so they could make the min number of school days without taking days from sping break. In fact there are a few businesses that are using it to catch up as well not just schools. Kind of sucks.

I am so happy too! Usually our district gives just the kids Monday off but they gave it to us too! Of course that means we have to be here longer in June but I am ok with that. |

I'm thrilled as well, knowing we have an extra day coming up. Our grandson has been working long hours on our re-hab building and there is a LOT of clean up to do this weekend. Now hauling debris out of an old building isn't your typical fun weekend, but it gets us closer to move in, so we are happy to sweep sawdust and carry pieces of wood and sheetrock out to the truck. | |

I'm out of work right now and DH took the day off, so we all have a 4 day weekend. He took time this morning to go to the doctor's and is now getting a haircut and geocaching.
15 yo DD is babysitting. Then, 12 yo DS has a girl from class over to watch "Pitch Perfect." They are just good friends though.

So thankful for this 3 day weekend. Of couse we will pay for it as our students don't do well with the change in routine.
And then we have to go about 30 working days until Spring Break. Then 30 more until the end of the school year. |
