So, I still use my Cricut Expression with SCAL. If it's not broke, don't fix it right?
Well, my friend would like to buy a cutting machine for herself after seeing mine work. I've been out of the loop so long I don't know what to tell her to get. I know SCAL is no longer an option and she would like something similar that she can use SVG files and ttf fonts like me. It also needs to be pretty easy to use because she's not too computer savvy.
Does anyone here have any advice on what she should get or what direction I should point her? Thank you!!!

She could get a Cameo, or a Sizzix Eclips. The Cameo has it's own software, and I am not sure how hard it is to learn. There is a version of SCAL available for the Sizzix Eclips, and I have heard wonderful things here and in other places about that machine. Most people who have a Cameo seem happy with it as well. Those would be the two I would research if I were here. Oh, and the Sizzix also has cartridges available, if she's interested in those. (I LOVE Sizzix designs!)
