I'm tired of waiting for Becky Higgins to come out with the promised school album. Anyone have one that they currently use and love and it's available? Any ideas with pictures to share?

I need to get on this, as I have 3 5th graders and a 1st grader. I would like something fairly easy since I am working on 4 albums.

PS. I love BH, just tired of waiting!!!

She has already came out with the school mini kits. She isn't do a full kit like the old one anymore. The kits are great and I love how versatile they are. They are $15 and come wih a great variety of cards. Check them out on her blog. Good luck. There is also one of the old kits on eBay I believe and one for a good price.

I just worked on my niece's school album last month, using the Mayfield edition. I had my reservation about the school kit being for only one year...I had really wanted a product to cover her entire school "career". However, after using the kit, I LOVE it! I went with the digital version, so that I could print cards as I need them. The bonus, is that I can get multiple years out of one "kit". It only took me a week to finish the album (from picking out pictures, editing, printing cards, journaling, etc). And it is honestly one of my favorite albums!

Becky has a great video on using the kit:

Valerie Salmon has a "class" for what she calls the Ultimate school album. you use your own papers but she gives you templates and formats. I have made 5 album this way. She has a template for making a pocket page to store school memorabilia.AND it goes from preschool to high school graduation. Check it out on her site.

I think this would be a great idea for a workshop here at 2peas! Especially if it came with an optional kit.

DS just started preschool 3 days ago, so I'll be watching for ideas over the next few months too!

I just bought the USA album you posted about McCoko. Very cool! I love the idea of using my own stash, since I have a lot of school items already.

Thanks!

Shannon Tidwell's Sassy scrapping class here at 2peas has a great section on school album. It's the method I am using.

TripletMom, I hope you enjoy it! I created books for a set of twin and this "class" made everything easy. I was able to give each girl the same layout but gear it to their tastes (one's a princess and the other thinks she's a monkey-go figure.)

I would recommend after putting these together, if you have a lot of memorabilia, like my son, who has to be in and do every thing, buy some of the 12x12 pocket pages that BH has from Amazon. These are sturdier and can hold the bulkier items.

I see the Childhood kits, but I don't see any school kits.

The childhood kit is what I was referring too. Sry for confusion. It's perfect for school albums and regular PL. I ordered all three and very happy with my purchase.

I have only one child - won't have more than her (tooooo old!!!). I am thinking about just mixing in her school stuff into our annual albums. Anyone done this and have advice against it - ??

Thanks,
Susan
