I've always wanted to go to the Scrapbook Expo but just never have. I was thinking of taking a day of from work on April 19th and going to the Scrapbook Expo in Milwaukee, WI. Is it worth a two hour drive if I'm not interested in taking classes? Will I see all of the same products I can see at Archivers? Just curious for the thoughts of those that have been there or any expo.

Just went to the one in Grapevine TX yesterday - I posted on another link that the cost of parking at the hotel in TX was $15 - fee to get in was $10 and I drove 1 1/2 hours to get there. I didn't really think it was worth it. You might want to check out how much they will charge for parking at that location. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. There seemed to be a lot of stamp companies there and people selling dies for the Big Shot. Not a lot of vendors selling new lines. There were several discount vendors but if you are looking for the newest and greatest - not so much. I wished I would have spent my money online instead. But there is something to be said for a day out and getting to see some lines in person. Hope this helps!

Well, if you decide to go look me up. I haven't been to this one but I am pretty sure I could find coupons for admission and I know where to park for free.

I agree with the above poster. The discounted vendors (I know of one) has awesome deals but it's older stuff. I can't say for sure about this one, but it seems these expos have become stamping heavy. There is another expo type sale twice a year near the airport and that has become almost exclusively stamping. I would look at the list of vendors on the website. If you are just looking for a drive and shopping experience it could be fun.

Also, in the past this expo is at the same time as the "Just Between Friends" resale. If you have younger children I am told that is a great sale to get to (although seperate entrance fee).

I went last year and will probably skip it this year. As earlier posters said it really tends to be older stuff (and some really old school supplies). I think there were only two vendors selling some of the newish collections.

Glad I saw this thread. I was considering going but I think I'll pass.
