I'm thinking the same thing. Very odd indeed!

Wow, I have never seen the slap! I have had the opportunity to personally meet Lisa on several occasions and she was always very congenial. That slap would seem out of character with the Lisa that stood taking pictures with fans after suffering a painful foot injury.

I am glad to see HSN expanding scrapbooking and crafting in general!

Well, if you read the blog post verrrry carefully, they don't actually say the kit is "exclusive " , more that it's never been in the format, so to speak. I guess we'll have to wait til march 25!

becky is sharing sneaks on her blog up until the 25th.

BTW-i loved watching Lisa and DAvid on qvc...bummed i didn't realize how fun they were until almost the end though!

Oh, I remember that show with David... that was at the time....

Wonder how the LSS's that ordered Project Life feel about HSN selling it... I would guess many small scrapbook store owners are excited to carry PL and this is just another slap to them... maybe I'm wrong?

Would you be upset if you sunk inventory $$ into PL only to find out HSN will be carrying it too? and probably in a bundle price.

If you read the promo carefully and read her blog it states that she will HOST the program and this is probably her new gig with HSN. She will be a host for them. Interesting! I will be watching, Kerri Bradford said something about being there also, curious to see in what capacity.

I'm thinking its going to be some type of bundle that includes an album, page protectors, and a core kit.

Whatever it is, I'll be watching!

I'm not a Project Lifer, but I've read plenty of threads here, and on the SC boards.

It seems there's always threads about delays, not being able to get product, quality issues, etc. And as for Studio Calico, people have been on the wait list for months.

If demand has been hard to meet now, how will they meet and keep up with the demand when PL hits HSN?

That aside, I'm looking forward to watching.

I think you are confusing two different things. Becky H's PL is completely different from SC's PL. Becky has been very upfront about delivery times for her different versions of the kit; sometimes they get pushed back but she communicates that on her blog, I think pretty well.

SC's kit is the one with the waiting list that you have to PAY to be taken off of and has all the problems with crappy quality journaling cards, etc.

Also, with HSN involved, I'd be very surprised if what the are selling has not already been manufactured and shipped to the HSN warehouse.

I thought the slap was hilarious. I think she was just playing. People need to lighten up.

Didn't Kerri Bradford do all her samples for QVC? So that's probably why she'll be there.

I'm excited to see her. I STILL have a few VHS tapes with her on QVC and sometimes I watch them just to laugh!!!!!!

Ah, okay. I guess I just assumed (which I should have learned loooong ago not to do ) that PL w/SC would be the same manufacturing company as PL w/Becky Higgins.

I may be the only one here who did not like Lisa on QVC. I loved watching for the ideas and bought many a product but I just did not like her. I do miss QVC's craft/scrap shows, though.

No, I didn't really like her either. For some reason, she just grated on me. I watched the clip and all I can say is wow. That was really way out there.

My less announced on their blog a few months ago that they ordered the PL kits. I have yet to see an update on their blog that they actually ever received them in stock.

PL kits aren't suppose to hit the retail stores until May.

Yeah, my LSS was taking preorders on the kits that are coming out in May. The only place to get her kits right now is amazon.

I'm hoping for a "variety pack" PL kit, but I'm also pretty sure I'm living in a dream world.

I will definitely watch. I miss the old QVC days. I didn't think the slap was a big deal.

I loved watching Lisa on QVC and the great products that she brought. She will vastly improve HSN and I'm definitely interested in the PL kit that they'll be offering. Why all the negativity, not necessary. I'll never understand why some crafters are so judgemental of others. This is such an amazing hobby, there's so many positive things to discuss.

Aren't the Peas the only ones who care about "the slap"? Has no one here ever done something in the moment that didn't turn out like you planned? I'm sure she was just being silly and it went badly.

I don't have cable so I won't be able to watch. I love PL but I don't need anymore PL stuff so I probably wouldn't buy anything anyway.

I don't think it was just "a little slap" to David. He looked pretty surprised.

Hey, criticizers, it's not just a 2-second moment on TV we're talking about. There was a follow-up afterwards, which wasn't pleasant either. So yeah, it's one of those things that will occasionally come up in Pea conversation.

What was the follow up? I missed that. I have never in my life thought of high fiving someone and then smacking them in the face, and I have never ever seen that done any where else. It was just too weird. And I think David thought so too. He looked amazed, but stayed totally in control, never acting anything but polite. That little episode may have been the beginning of the end for sb on qvc.

Lisa B is okay. She did a lot to make sb supplies available every where. But I think the difference between her and many other well-known scrappers is that she is not a designer, I don't think. She is more of a promoter. Which isn't bad. I'm sure it made her wealthy.

I'd like to know about the "follow Up" too! I had never seen the slap... it did look kind of innocent to me, but I'm sure she'd like to take it back..

I miss the crafting on QVC too!.. I liked the layouts Lisa presented, but she could get very repetitious in her dialogue...

I had forgotten the slap.

For me, the broadcast that I'll never forget was this recent HSN scrapbooking day when the gal on the last program referred to WRMK's bone folder as a "boner." Poor Andrew was fighting everything in him not to lose it, and finally the envelope scorer product sold out.

The gal let out a sigh of relief and said, still on the air, something like "That will be on the bloopers reel forever."

This is why I watch these shows. I have never called in or even bought the product online, but you never know what will happen with live television.
