I like to leave mine sitting out for a while. Do you put your new items away immediately or wait and enjoy them for a bit?
What are you looking at?

I go through them individually a time or two, looking at all the prettiness. Then I put them away - all in the day I get them.

I like to leave mine out for a while so I can enjoy them and be inspired by them. I only have a scrap corner right now, so leaving them out means leaving a bit of a mess. When I get my own room (in about six months or so after a house renovation), I am planning a basket for new items to live in for a couple of weeks.

If I want to scrap with the new stuff right away, I'll keep it out until I've done whatever projects I want to work on. Otherwise, I try to put it away quickly, which encourages me to mix the new stuff in with older stash.

Okay, that's not entirely accurate. I keep most of my most recent purchases in a bag, and pull from that when I'm scrapping. If I've bought a collection, I'll keep that together as well. Things like veneers go in their home, as do tags, label stickers, and letter stickers that don't go with a collection. New stamps go in a little box together. I pull from the new "exciting" stuff first, then pull from stash as needed.
When I make a new purchase, I then place anything that is leftover from the previous purchase into its rightful place in the stash. It is very rare for me to have any full 12x12 sheets remaining at this point.

Depends on how much I want to use the new stuff. Sometimes they might sit in a bag for weeks before I pull them out to use. Other times I get right into them and then sort into appropriate bins.
|Posted: 2/25/2013 11:12:25 AM|
I wait, and enjoy them a bit. Then after about a week, I'll put them away.

I usually leave them out on the counter in my loft office for a couple of days, maybe a week. I usually organize them into collections (or page kits, if I've purchased mix and match but intend to use them together) right away and leave them in little piles where I can easily see them.

I'll usually leave it all in the box for a few days. I like to play with new tools and use a new collection at least once before I mix it in with my old stuff.
|Posted: 2/25/2013 11:20:45 AM|I put them away as soon as I spray the mists on a tag, make a cut or 2 with my new dies, stamp an image, and admire my other new stuff. So usually right away.

I like to leave them out for at least a few days. During those few days, I will often go through and admire all the new stuff as well as actually using it!

I like to leave mine out for about a week and I will pull stuff from the pile to use. After that I will put it in with the rest of my stash.

I used to put my stuff away pretty quickly, since I don't have a separate room for crafting (have to use my kitchen) and I'm a pretty neat/OCD type person.
Lately, however, I've been leaving my purchases out and I'm finding this is working much better because I'm using things more quickly and easily now. Part of it is the inspiration and then just the 'out of sight, out of mind' part of tidying it away is being avoided so I'm quite happy with the new change.

I have 4 boxes sitting on my desk since last Wednesday(?).
I keep them out for about a week and go through it open every thing up and admire it, then in about a week decide I should probably put it away.

Same here. I have no choice though since my scrap table is in our living room for now, so I have to contain the mess.

In weird. I put them in my scrap cave and I keep collecting bags of things until my table I full then I sit down and go over my things and put it away. I think it's more fun for me to put away a lot of stuff then just a little bit. Crazy I'm sure.

Exceptions are made like now when mst everything I'm buying is for an album I'll be working on during a weekend crop next week. Those are all living in a " pack for the crop" basket" and will be put away once I unpack from the crop.

As soon as they come into my house. I don't like my stuff sitting out, it makes me crazy.
But that's probably because my scraproom is right next to my front door in the center of my house and can be seen from the huge sliding glass door in the atrium while walking up to my front door.

I play with my goodies as soon as they come in. That way I am inspired to scrap. Once Ive completed at least 2 projects then they start to get mixed in with the stuff I have.

I am a member of one kit club, which I just cancelled, deciding to get the Glitter Girl kit here (I like the flexibility of adding and subtracting what I like, though for me it was a lot more adding!).
Usually I will leave new stuff in a basket on my craft table until the next month's kit arrives. Once it does, the previous month's stuff goes away.

I used to leave them in the box for a while, and then I found that I was going to crops and forgetting them and then it seemed that boxes were piling up, so now I love them and play with them, and see what else goes with them, and then kit them up so when I go to a crop they are ready to roll. I'm finding that I am using stuff much more quickly now instead of "saving" it for the perfect layout.
And the more I use, the more I get to buy!

If it's just thickers or other page embellishments, I "file" them away as soon as I get home, but paper or paper collections always linger on my scrap tables so that I can look them over and enjoy the colors and let my imagination grow!

If I got a bunch if miscellaneous stuff that doesn't go together, I usually put it all in its places ASAP, usually the day I get it. If it's stuff that all goes together like a collection or things I bought to use together on a project, I keep it out, all together to soak it in a bit before it all goes to its separate spots. I find that helps me remember what I have that goes together without storing it all together.
