I just found a little box to put all my washi/craft tape rolls in I got on clearance at Michaels. And I have room for 2 more rolls.
I wasn't even interested in washi! |

Ooooo, I'd love to see it. I have a ton of washi that I have in one of those plastic shoe boxes and I'm not loving it. Is it made specifically for washi? |

No, it's just a chipboard box that held squares of soap from France. Lord knows how old the soap is but it smells really good! I think it might've come from hubby's grandmother's house (not sure) and she died 16 years ago. |

Try doing a google image search for washi storage. |

we're converting you to the 'Dark Side' of scrapping, Kaleidoscope!! lol!! Your conversion will be complete once you have over 100 packages of Thickers!! (apparently, anyway- I'm not there, yet-- lol!)

Ha ha, welcome to the dark side. I currently have 7 rolls and one more on the way, and I keep telling myself I am DONE for now. Ha. I'm supposed to be frozen for the forseeable future anyways, so not buying more shouldn't be a problem.

I bought a package of that clearance washi 3 days ago. I wasn't ever going to buy washi. Turned out to be perfect for my DGS's gold belt karate layout. I caved. It's in my adhesive drawer now with the rest of my tape. I will not be buying anymore. I just hope I find a way to use what I got--one yellow chevron and one dark blue chevron.
His karate page turned out really cute and totally out of the box for me. I used a bunch of my new stuff--veneer arrows and stars, Gold Lame, washi, gold foil paper... I love it. I really should post some layouts here for you all to admire.
Wow...sorry for the hijack...

I think my washi is having babies. every time I open the box, there seems to be another roll. I swear I only remember buying about four rolls, but there are well over 40 rolls on there now. |

I love washi and it has been in a basket but it is hard to see it all (yeah I have enough to make it hard to see the bottom). This week I got a bamboo cutlery organizer that goes in a drawer. I stood it on end and stacked the rolls. The compartments keep the little washi towers from falling over and I can pull one roll out at a time which I couldn't do with a spool. I love it!
And kaleidoscope, between washi and mists you are on a crazy rampage! LOL Now we want to see what you make with them.

I love the idea to decorate envelopes with Washi!
I bought the Recollections 2-pack, yesterday, with the film strip and the cameras. I love it! I also got some on clearance! |

I actually have been using it just as much (or more, lately) to decorate envelopes when I send cards, lol!!
That is exactly why I bought them. And I wouldn't have if it weren't for the clearance. I figured I'd use them on envies, and maybe cards. Don't intend to use them on LO's because I prefer permanent stuff and it also doesn't say acid free.
And I've been in Marshall's twice and have not succumbed to Thickers. |

I did this with my Christmas cards and have also been using it for gift wrap. I have so much washi tape that I need to use more than just on layouts. |

I only had a few rolls as well until I discovered cutetape.com for $2 a roll, let's just say I have way too much of it now!

I am totally addicted to washi tape! I store mine on a jewelry rack I got at Michaels. It's a bracelet holder with several outward spokes kind of like a tree. The rolls of tape fit perfectly, and it's pretty too! Just reading this thread makes me want to go shop for some more washi! |

Yep, I did but only due to the clearance price. I tried using it again on a LO last night but kept pulling it back off--the final layout has 3 little strips. (The karate LO has a bunch though.)
