Veronica welcome!

Barb, sorry you're sick. Hope you get to sleep a lot today. Glad you went to the doctor, should have went before the 2 weeks but you know that. Hope you don't share with anyone else in the family. Darn bug just keeps going that way!

Speaking of sleeping, my four hour nap yesterday wasn't enough I guess because I went to bed at 8:30 last night. No surprise I feel great this morning. Going to work on painting the doors in the hallway and if Randy feels like it this afternoon we may go do some vacation clothes shopping. We'll see.

Have a great Saturday all.

Hi-thanks for the welcome back.

I am only able to sit at my desktop for a while every day..i'm up early this morning.

My DH is now really sick with a bad cough and cold. he had a fever yesterday, and called the advise nurse. got more cough med prescribed and says the fever has subsided. poor guy.

And we had to call in for delivered dinner from our daughter and son in law last night. DH couldn't drive, and I haven't driven since the accident.

Aren't we a pair?

We didn't let our grandson in the house last evening because it seemed like the house was full of germies! I am pretty good at wiping hard surfaces off, but guess what? now I am coughing.

have a great weekend--I am not even sure we can go to my 95 yr old MIL's house tomorrow to fix her prescription meds. She has 24/7 care, and among other things, has Alzheimer's. We now see a rapid decline, so are deciding about hospice care. At least she would have a hospital bed then.

Got the seal of approval from the hand doc/therapist. My strength is about 20% off mark and so is my range of motion, but I promised to be a good patient and keep working on it. Both advised me to keep off of skates for life. Maybe I need a bicycle....

Barbara & Lindy hope you feel better real soon.

I got my prints order yesterday from Artscow.com I was impressed with the quality. I did put smaller pictures on 4x6 for the most part, so now to cut them all apart. Excited for new scrapping material, even if they are from 2009 and 10!

Have a great Saturday!

TAMMY great that your hand is doing so well, keep up with the PT so you get full recovery.

I'm so frustrated. I finally got around to installing PSE11 and I can't get it to open. Waiting to talk to a support person but it's an half hour wait. Cross fingers and hope they can resolve the issue. I wanted to scrap today but am running out of time and patience.

Three doors in the hallway painted, three left to do. Went to Bowling Green with Randy, found him some work shoes and a couple of shirts and a couple of items for me. Overate at Cheddars and suffering for it now. We're both worn out, I'm sure it'll be an early bedtime. Of course, Randy has to get up at 2 so I know he'll have one.

Debi, hope you were able to get the PSE to work. Sometimes you have to have the latest version of computer for new programs, that's why I'm always leery of buying anything.

It was gorgeous today, 74 degrees. Already dropped to 50 and it's supposed to be 48 for the high tomorrow. Crazy!!!

Praised up.

Good morning everyone I am so grateful that I don't have to work today I get to spend a little time with my family. Oh and catch up on house work

Tammy- that is great that you are doing so well with your hand, and I think the doctors advice is some good advice

Theresa- sounds like you are getting a new house with out having to move, I dread painting this house, we need to paint almost every room. Your vacation sounds like it is going to be great have a good time.

Debi- I hope you got your PSE straightened out. That is on my list of things that I want to buy but need to save a little bit more for it since I want both the photo and video one.

Lindy- hope that you are doing better and hope your DH is feeling better too.

Monica- hope that your computer stuff is resolved soon I think I would go nuts without mine.

To everyone else that is sick I'm sending you some virtual chicken soup.

I was so excited yesterday I got my 2 peas order, I got a bunch from the new Dear Lizzy charm collection and from the Amy Tangerine yes please collection. I am loving the colors and look of all of it and I can not wait to play with it but who knows when that will be. Okay gotta run and get ready for church I should be back later to share some LO's that I did a couple of weeks ago.

Good morning,

Nothing much going on in my neck of the woods, I scrapped all night last night waiting to pick up Monica from her friends at 11:30pm, will post them later. Today after church I'm going to work on a mini album, I printed a lot of Christmas pictures in 2011 that I want to put in a book I think a mini will be the best way.

Stan is cooking corned beef and cabbage for the family, that means the kitchen will be a mess but I don't have to cook always a plus.

Jodi..Hope you are feeling less tired and stressed. Enjoy you purchase, I have my cart full waiting on the 18th when my AMX cycle starts new to buy some stuff, I can't wait. It's good to see you.

Theresa...Your body really needed the extra sleep. I need to catch that painting bug you got, my house needs it desperately. These walls have not been touched in 8 years. This whole house needs to TLC. kwim..

Debi...Did you figure out PSE11. Sure hope you got it to work and are soon creating again.

Barb...Praying the antibiotics kicked in and you are feeling better by now.

Tammy...That's Great!!! Now continue that therapy. Thanks for the idea of putting two pictures on 4 x 6 I order the wallet size get 4 and really only need one and pay for it double. I'm going to do that from now on.

Lindy...Nice seeing you around. Praying for you and DH to get better soon, It's sad about your MIL but with Hospice they do make them feel a little better specially if they come to your home, good luck with that also.

Mary JO...Don't get stressed about keeping up. Just join us when you can.

Waiving Hello to Tina, Toni, Nylene and the rest.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. My Novel is over.

The simple answer is NO! PSE11 is still not working. I spent over 5 hours yesterday with live CHAT and it still won't load properly. I have to wait til Monday to talk to a tech expert. Even trying to download from their website didn't work. Something is wonky with my laptop that is preventin the software to launch....GRRR! My laptop exceeds all the requirements needed to install PSE11 so don't know what the issue is, but suspect it has to do with whatever happened in the last windows update that paralysed my PSE7 which I can't get OFF my machine either....

So I'm going to start some cornbeef in the crockpot, and then visit my mom for St Paddy's day and a quick trip to the casino hoping my luck there will be much better than with my laptop.

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY! DON'T YOU BE FORGETTIN TO WEAR THE GREEN

I'll come back later to chat more.

Diane, I put them together in collages in my Picasa program, but photosheet.com does the same thing too.

Debi- I bet it's because you still have 7 on there too. so frustrating. i hope someone can help you out tomorrow.

we stayed up too late having a "game day" with a bunch of Gary's friends/gaming friends he's met. I think 15 people came/went at throughout the day yesterday. The single people were still wanting to play new games at midnight.... way past my bedtime and for those of us with kids.

My plan is to do some power cleaning this afternoon so I can scrap a bit tomorrow.

Did everyone get the 25% off code in their peamail? It's good for today only. (Sunday). I'm not going to use it, so if you want it, let me know and I'll peamail it to you. I'll check back in a couple hours to see if anyone wants it.

Hi Everyone!

No, you haven't lost me yet. I've just been SO busy trying to get everything I need ready for the weekend crop. I've been sorting pics until my eyes cross! It is fun to look through old photos though. I'll tell you - we have had some CUUUUTE kittens in our life!

Making a pet scrapbook sure didn't sound like it would take this long when I came up with the idea. But I've had a total of 26 pets (not much compared to some!) and I want to do a page about each pet. In addition to writing a couple of paragraphs about each pet, I have to find the photos I want to use - 3-6 pics of each pet. The newer pics are fine, but the old pics need to be digitalized and then 'improved.' Some of them are so faded. I bought a photo editing program and have been having the BEST TIME playing with it! It is AMAZING what it can do! But it all takes time and I'm on a deadline. I really want to have all this prep work done by next Friday, when the Camp-Out-Crop is. To make matters worse, I have to go visit my mom Wed-Fri (I'll leave her place in the morning and go to the Crop in the evening). She lives about 2 and a half hours from me. So really, I have to get everything done by TUESDAY!

Some of you are SO busy with work, kids, house improvement, Zumba... I'm so lucky that I get to spend all my time playing. Of course, my house is a MESS!

The Camp-Out-Crop is being held at a Senoir Center about half an hour's drive from here. It's a really nice place, they even have sofas so we can take a nap if we want to. This year the Crop really doesn't go all weekend - just from 6 PM Friday until late Saturday evening. But I'm sure it will be a lot of fun!

Anyway, that's why I haven't been very chatty. I did read all the posts though. I sure hope all of you who have been sick get feeling better soon! And that Gary gets the jobs he wants, Debi's lap top finally accepts PSE 11, and all the kids do well in their endevors.

Most likely I will not post again until after the big Crop. Stay safe and have fun everyone!

PS Welcome Veronica!

Evening. Praised up again.

Not much going on. Went to church, got groceries for the week, made soup and did a couple of loads of laundry. Oh yeah, got in a nap too. Headed back to bed soon. Just seem to be tired all the time. I think it's still the virus I had that sapped all my energy. Going to start taking vitamins in the morning, maybe I'll get some strength back before vacation.

TAMMY no it's not that PSE7 is on the system. You can have prior versions of PSE loaded simultaneously and they aren't supposed to cause any issues. In fact they recommend leaving your old version on your system til you get up to speed with the new version so you have it to fall back on if need be.

I suspect the Microsoft Windows Update somehow corrupted the registry of Windows which resulted in my not being able to open PSE7 nor uninstall it. I tried a Microsoft Fixit program for that problem but it didn't find a problem. This is beyond frustrating.

Thanks TAMMY for the heads up on the 3/17 25% discount. I was able to knock down my order by an additional $8 ....that helped a lot. I would have missed it if you hadn't mentioned it.

CATHY that's right you have a big crop THIS weekend...are you ready? It's been ages since I did a crop (yep back in my paper scrapping days)...I really loved them. Hope you have a blast and get lots of pages done. Warming up my fingers getting ready to praise as soon as those pages start hitting the gallery. LOL

THERESA stock up on those vitamins, but what they don't fix, a good vacation will.

Ok PSE11 and my laptop are still dualing....I'll let you know who is victor later.

Hi all- happy st Pattys day!
Well my DH talked to advice nurse and she said to drink warm liquids- so he's doing his best on that.

I'm hoping I don't have it as bad as he does because I've got another health issue to deal with - I'm getting a call from Doc in the morning. I like kaiser plan because they are pretty accessible.

Daughter and son in law went and got dinner for us tonight. We miss our grandson coming over but we don't want to share our bugs.

We have been watching lots of TV- some movies are ok the second time around.

Hoping dH can get over to his moms to meet hospice this Wed. She already has 24/7 so she will stay in her condo with familiar caregivers, plus hospice nurse etc.

Have a nice rest of the evening!

Praisemarker.

Got someone coming over today to help her work on her yearbook pages later this morning. but then I think I'll play a bit since the house is passably clean.

Cathy- have fun at your crop. I hear ya, it takes a lot of work to pack for one. But it's fun in the end! I'm keeping my eye out for an NSD one in the area but I might have to make my own.

Theresa- hope you get your energy back soon. when does your vacation begin?

Debi- glad you were able to use the code! I see people complaining about shipping prices. I just can't justify it till I use up a bunch of stuff I have.

Good morning,

Debi, sometimes those updates that come up are not really updates but viruses. I read a long time ago that you should be careful when doing updates because a lot of them come with viruses. I hope you can fix the problem.

Working just wanted to say good morning/afternoon. I don't want to be here, was up until 2:30am talking to my sister while she drove her son to Tampa, he missed the plane. Now I'm sluggish.

Hello! I love how much of your lives that you share with each other.
I spent this weekend in a little town in western Nebraska helping a friend who owns a scrapbook store vend at a crop. There weren't a lot of croppers, and I only taught 2 Cricut classes, but it was fun because I got to see a part of the state I haven't seen before.
I also made my mom a really cute card that I will try to post later.
My kids went back to school after being off for spring break last week. I have a 12-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son. What about all of you?

Hi all,

I *am* still here. Been trying to keep up with chatter but not replying because I am so tired at the end of every day.

But you should see my house! I have de cluttered every room except my bedroom (which I did in the fall and is still pretty good shape). I don't know how long it will last, but for the moment, I am loving my home. Even Julia's room looks great.

My antibiotics kicked in VERY quickly and by Sunday morning I was well enough to run 8 (very slow) miles.

I hope to be back tonight to catch up with y'all more personally!

Had a good day despite having Thunder wake me up at 4 a.m. and not being able to go back to sleep. Had to drive to Owensboro in a downpour with flooded side streets but didn't have any problems getting there--love my Prius! I'd have hydroplaned everywhere had I been driving the RAV.

Veronica, I'm a RN who works in an orthopaedic surgeon's office. I'm just getting over a virus that has whipped me pretty good. I have to drive 45 miles each way to work. I'm married to Randy (MrNiceGuy on 2P's) and we have one adult son, Jeremy. He's married and lives in Lexington with the two Granddogs. I have several nieces and nephews but have two favorite nephews that I talk about a lot, Jackson, he's 13 and Austin, he's 8. My parents are deceased but I've been blessed with Other Parents in my Aunt Joyce and Uncle Charlie. You'll read about them from time to time too. That's about it for me.

Barb, sure wish you or Cathy lived closer to me, tons of stuff to organize here!!!!!

Have to run my car up to the mechanic to get a tune up tomorrow while I'm at work so best get with it.

BARBARA not only are you getting into shape physically with all that running you do, but your house is in tip top shape too. I'm trying really hard not to compare "my progress" with yours....LOL

On the other hand re: Photoshop Elements 11 I just want to cry...can't get PSE11 to load. Well it appears to load but it won't open. I've spent hours ( I mean hours--more than 8 so far) with adobe live chat and trying to install this software every which way. I've cleaned my computer, ran virus checks, cleaned and repaired the registry, manually removed PSE7, installed from disc, from desktop, from website download...same result every time. Gets to the end as normal, but leaves no way to access the program and when I try the shortcuts all I get is the organizer asking if I agree to licensing terms over and over no matter how many times I type yes. It should not be this hard!

No there has been no Adobe updates I can find. Problems all go back to 3/6 with an automatic Windows update. Grrrr!

I'm tired of fighting the computer when all I really want and should be able to do is install, and start the software.

Evenin' ladies,

TONI & THERESA -- I watched Grey's last night. Cried LIKE a baby! Geeze they know how to get me!! Between the name and that doctor's mother!!

LINDY -- hope you're feeling better...and DH, too. It's a bad thing when you can't let your GS in the house.

TAMMY -- After having gone through *exactly* what you're going through, I have to say a BICYCLE is not the answer. That's what I was riding when I broke my wrist. Keep up the exercises! Good job!

JODI -- It's been nice seeing so much of you...clearly you are adjusting well to motherhood Glad you got a day off this weekend.

DEBI -- good GRIEF?! have you spoken to MS?! if you have a licensed copy of Windows (which you must if it did an auto update) then they should be helping you. I mean seriously! This is ridiculous. I thought Adobe was gonna let you talk to a tech? -- Don't compare yourself to me when it comes to de-cluttering...I took pseudoephedrine every day for FOURTEEN DAYS! Ask THERESA how great of an idea THAT is!! I'm certain it's why I could keep doing the tedious stuff.

DIANA -- you're a good friend. You just finished telling us you can barely stay awake until 10 pm; then your friend needs you and you are up until 2:30 am! Must have made for a rough day.

OK, I think I'll watch a little TV then a long, hot bath! Woohoooooo!! I loooooove Mondays.

Barbara

p.s. Veronica...hi there!!

Good morning!

Debi - that is just awful! I am leery about updates as well. There are a few programs I am ok with. But the biggies, always make me nervous.
Heck, I was nervous when we switched over to our new computer back in October!

Hoping for find some time to scrapbook today.

The SAGA continues...2 hours with online support at Microsoft this morning and we are still back at step 1...PSE11 loads (looks right) but won't open, only gives me a repeating licensing page agreement for organizer over and over and over.

I have level2 Microsoft support calling me this afternoon...will this ever get resolved?

I may never scrap again!I think I'm going to need PTSD therapy after this.

PSE11 has OPENED. Having some issues with not being able to drag and drop items into it, nor being able to turn off layers but I'll keep working at it. THe problem was a bad cache file. Only took 10 hours/4reps (3 from Adobe and 1 from Microsoft) to solve the problem. Grrr!

So here is a very quick LO just to get my feet wet again.

Quiet today, I see.

DEBI -- HOORAY for scrapping again! And what an adorable page you did, too! So happy for you that you're back up & running.

TONYA -- hi there. I think it must have been quite some time since you were on this thread because I don't recognize you and I've been fairly consistent since 2011. (Wow, almost 2 years now?! How did THAT happen??)

Had a busy day and now I am turning in early. Hope everyone had a good day.

One more from me...I'm starting to get the hang of PSE11...not that different other than a few niggly things and some different locations for items. Some changes I like, such as the lighter gray background and bigger print (easier on the eyes), some things not so much like the icons for the effects (i'm better with words). I'm sure in a few days I'll have gotten used to the differences.

Now I can go to bed.

hey there -

Debi - I was feeling your frustration all the way over here I'm so glad you're finally able to get it open and start to figure it out. Good luck, hon.

Tonya - hey, girl, good to see you. I know what you mean about uploading the pages here. It is time consuming. Whether you add them here or not, I hope you still stop by on occasion, although I do love to see your work

Tammy - keep up the good work on your hand. How's Gary doing with the interviews? How's Josh doing?

Diana - You are rocking the pages, girl! You are a good friend

Nylene - Sure hope you're starting to feel better.

Cathy - As much as I love to attend crops, it really is a lot of work getting ready for them. Hope you have a great time.

Theresa - yep, our weather is up and down. The other day it rained so much, I wasn't sure we weren't going to be flooded again - not a great way to get back ino the school routine, that's for sure. Hope you're feeling better.

MaryJo - There are quite a few T's on here, so you're bound to get us confused...we're used to it, LOL. There used to be even more...well, Tonya has stopped by again, so as you can see, there is even more T's that are/were members. So, no worries.

Sounds like lots of you are still sick, or getting sick, or have some loved ones who are sick...I sure hope you all start to feel better soon.

Anyway, I've got to get going and get ready, so I'm wishing you all a super day.
If I missed someone, I'm sorry.,,my memory is not what it used to be

Good Morning Sweet Peas!

Life here is buzzing along, like usual. Some parts of my job continues to be quite the challenge, while others are kind of fun. The fundraiser that I went to on Saturday was cool, they raised a good chunk of money and gave away a lot of really cool prizes. The top prize was $10k, but it ended up that 5 of the finalists decided to split it, so they got 2k each.

All three kids will be off school starting on Friday for Spring Break...I sooo wish we were going someplace. It has been so cold here..brrr. Last year at this time it was 80 degrees, our high is supposed to be 19 degrees today, I'm sooo not a fan of the cold.

Debi - Yay!!! I'm really glad that you were able to get PSE to work for you again. I have found 11 to be pretty intuitive, just had to look around for the photomerge feature a little bit since they moved it.

Tonya - It's really good to see you. You need to post some of your lovely LO's, you make such pretty things.

Well, I guess I should get my tail moving, I still need to fix Grif's lunch before I head out this morning.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Top of the morning to ya! (Little St Patrick Day left over) Today is the first official day of Spring but it sure is cold outside!!!!

Debi, hurray for PSE11. Haven't got time to look at your new creations but I'll check them out later. Just glad you're finally up and running.

Mary Jo, here's an old layout of mine that features the Terrific T's (link is here) maybe it'll help tell us apart. We all went to Scrapfest at the Mall of America (there were more of us there too, just did this photo of the T's.

Tina, glad the fundraiser went well. That's a lot of money for prizes!

Best get off here. 1/2 day today and then I'm going shopping (only reason I'm going in for the 1/2 day to begin with). Have to find Randy a white shirt for the expected beach photo for next week. Counting down the days to Gulf Shores!!!

Good morning sweet peas. It is pouring buckets here. But at least last night it only lightly rained so we were still able to take the Daisy scouts on a walk through the wetlands at the park across the street. It was fun and they were good sports about the light rain.

Debi- glad to see PSE is at least up and running! you'll catch on real soon.

Tonya- good to see you! I saw your layouts on facebook- your work is amazing as ever. I have several layouts I've done this past month but I just dread uploading them since it takes so long.

Toni- Gary got the one contract- he flies out to SF on Monday for it. We're not sure yet of the logistics like how often he will be flying to be on site. A lot of the paperwork can be done at home. The other two phone calls were just feelers to see if he's able to work- but nothing came out of them yet. Josh is doing OK- he's still up at WWU, but his grades aren't so hot. He's more focused on video games than school work. *sigh*

HELLO TONYA so nice to see you. Now I know it takes time to upload those LOs but we, PEAS would love to see them.

BARBARA you have NO IDEA. Scrapping is my little hour of de-stressor...the last 5 days was NOT de-stressing with having to battle the computer issues to get PSE7 uninstalled and PSE11 open and working. GEESH. But it is finally on the system, and I'M BACK TO SCRAPPING! YAY!

TONI I definitely WAS frustrated. No program should be this hard to uninstall/install. I'm pretty computer literate and it had me stumped. What's the average user supposed to do? And one of the little irritants to me is when a company wants to charge you for helping you install their program when the program won't do what it is supposed to do out of the box. NOPE not happening. Had to go round about through customer service into tech support to get help without an added service charge with both ADOBE and MICROSOFT. The reps themselves were pleasant, patient and finally the last tech at Adobe knew what to try to fix it, so got the problem resolved. Just took 10 online hours of help and 4 Adobe and 5 Microsoft techs to get my PSE11 loaded. 10 hours of constant CHAT and debugging, to load a $60 program--that can't be very efficient. LOL But I'm happily on my way now, so happy to be able to scrap again. My therapy is back in session.

MORE GOOD NEWS. The boys got promoted from junior varsity team to the varsity team in ultimate frisbee, so I had to go through and change the calendar (different practice schedule and games) but I know they will be much happier playing with their same aged peers. Looking forward to a good season, just as the rain hits.

Happy first day of Spring! the spring has sprung here bringing showers but not the cold so many of you are dealing with, thankfully. Of course that means I'll need to force myself out in the gardens to get them somewhat back into shape. Anyone like to garden that wants to do my yard? NOT my specialty or interest really. One of the 'responsibilities' of home ownership I don't like and unfortunately can't hire out. That would be my dream, NOT A MAID, but having a gardener taking care of my yard and maybe a MECHANIC on the side to keep my car running....ok...I got side-tracked.

YES the terrific T's--THERESA, TINA, TAMMY, TONI, TONYA and now TESSA
There are a few regulars on here and a few who drop in now and again. Off the top of my head there is:
BARBARA
CATHY
DEBI, DIANA
ELLEN
JEN,JODI
LINDA, LINDY
MARYJO, MONICA B, MICHELLE, MELANIE
NYLENE
SHERRI
THERESA, TINA, TAMMY, TONI, TONYA, TESSA
VERONICA
WANDA
apologies if I missed someone. And any time we can add new people to chat with, we are happy to do so. But it can be confusing when you first are trying to keep us all apart. We have a way of growing on you though, if you stick with us.

TINA wow that's some big prizes. YOU must have raised good money to be able to give away such large sums. Nice the 5 finalists split it; I like when more get some than one gets all kind of solutions.

Yes they have moved a few things in PSE11 but it's pretty intuitiive if you've used prior versions. At least you know WHAT you're looking for. ALthough shadow options seem to have been greatly reduced, unless I haven't found them yet. I'll have to take some time to get to know where everything is.

THERESA I'm excited for you. A vacation in the warm weather sounds so wonderful. You are going to be so relaxed when you come back you won't want to go back to work.

TAMMY glad GARY at least got some work. Hope the other contracts come through and offer some more options. I HATE looking for work.

Ok kids are off...a little late as they were dragging this morning. Hope they made it to school on time. I gave them the option of me driving them if it was raining, but no one said anything, so they walked. They ended up having to buy lunch at school today though as I'm tired of having to wrangle their lunchbags from them everyday so I can pack lunches. I've warned and warned, if they don't put their lunch boxes on the counter in the kitchen by time I'm washing evening dishes, then I won't pack a lunch for them the next day. Well decided it was time to stop WARNING and start acting. So today, they eat at school (not something they like to do and knowing them, they'll skip it and scarf down food when they get home ) but maybe the lunch boxes will show up on time. I hope so. I hate having to rush in the morning and washing out cold sticky thermoses isn't my idea of a good way to start the day.

I'm also cracking down on them throwing/leaving stuff on their bedroom floor. Probably time I stop talking and start acting. On the floor, no longer available to use. I've been too lax because part of me feels guilty that I haven't gotten ALL my messes cleaned up yet. Working on that too.

ok I've chattered away long enough. HAVE a great day. SCRAP if you can.

Debi

hi ladies,

I am praised up .

Nice to see everyone checking in.

Tammy -- Gary's contract is in SF? You should come down with him! I'll come up and take you to Scrapbook Territory!

Theresa -- when do you leave? I'm getting pretty excited for you.

Debi -- nice to see you up & running. I've decided that it's a viable parenting tactic to use this sentence: "yes, but do you REALLY want to be like your mother?!" I do try to set a good example when it comes to personal habits, but when I can't be an example, I try to play on J's (already blossoming) desire to rebel.

Tina -- So glad the fundraiser was a success!

Hi to Toni, Diana, et al.

Tonya your Dr Suess link isn't working, had to go into your gallery to see it but glad I did, as it was my favorite page. wouldn't have wanted to miss it.

Haven't done any more scrapping...well I played a little with some techniques but haven't made any pages. Just getting familiar with how to use some of the new stuff in PSE11. Be afraid...be very afraid, as I may be adding them to LOs soon in the future.

So Seattle's Grace is becoming Grey Slone Memorial Hospital? I only wish they could have honored George too, although he didn't die in the crash. But that would have gotten into way too many words for Name...

Still time to download "free product" or buy at a discount digital products...just 10 days left, so if you're on the fence, it's time to jump off...

Ok it's late...nearly 1 a.m. and I have to be up by 6:30 a.m. so best be heading off to sleep. Catch you all tomorrow.

Morning all. Coughing again this morning, don't think it is ever going to stop!

Got a message on FB from Barb. She's been banned from 2P's. Evidently she added comments on a thread where someone was complaining about the poor customer service on 2P's. They sent her a note saying her comments violated their policy and she was banned for 24 hours. Don't know what thread she was talking about (since they changed the colors I rarely venture off this thread, with an occasional post on NSBR like the one I added to find vacation ideas). Anyway she said if it wasn't for us she'd never come back on here again. She wants you all to be aware that if you say anything against 2P's it could happen to you too.

Honestly, the whole ban on peas is silly. putting them in time-out? I understand it's their business, but you have to run it like one too. And that means not getting your feelings hurt when others are not happy. It's customer service- not a place where people will be 100% happy. I'm like Theresa- I stopped venturing off our threads when t switched to white. It's just hard on my eyes. If it weren't for you all, I'd not be here at all. I get 99.0% of my inspiration of layouts on pinterest now. Not sure of the solution.

hi everyone!
I've been lurking a lot lately. Too much negative stuff going on on the message boards (not our thread, thankfully!) and the online scrap world.

I have to say, I would love if we made a Facebook group or something to where we can talk privately and openly without lurkers/stalkers reading posts and turning them into judgements/negativity/hate talk.

Tonya- A Pinterest challenge would be really fun! I find that I get most of my inspiration from there these days, just like Tammy said.

Tammy- I totally agree. Two Peas needs to separate their personal feelings from everyday customer service issues. Every company has to deal with unhappy customers. Time for them to put on their big girl panties!

Theresa- Bummer about your cough. Hope you feel better soon! Was Kohls a zoo yesterday?

Debi- Glad you finally got PSE up and running! I have PSE 8, I think, so I can imagine how different the newest version would be! Cool that you are finding some new techniques/tools. Congrats to the boys on making the varsity team - that's awesome!

Tina- Wow, those were some big prizes! I would have loved to win the grand prize I hear you on the weather thing. I am more than ready for spring, but winter just doesn't want to go away yet!

Well, I finally got all my scrap stuff organized and put away after house-sitting for 2 months. I want to scrap so bad, but I'm feeling very much under the weather today Started with a tickle in my throat yesterday, and last night I woke up several times with my throat just burning. And it's an all-out cold today. I just hope I don't have strep!

I'm supposed to sub tomorrow, but we'll see if I feel any better. It would be ironic if *I* got the kids sick instead of the other way around!

This is a note from Barbara to everyone here (I'm posting for her since she is on the "ban" from Two Peas):

Hello lovely ladies,

First I would like to say THANK YOU CHATTY PEAS for all of the joy & comfort you have brought to my life. Not just my hobby, but my life. Over the past two years I have been fortunate enough to come call many of you friends.

Alas, my time on 2Peas is now coming to an end. I will miss being part of this group, our daily chatter, sharing life's big moments (good and bad), and just generally having you all "there."

As many of you know there has been a large bruhaha here on 2Peas about a disgruntled customer. I believe that customer was right in her stance, but that would never be enough for me to leave you all.

The aftermath of that woman's complaint has lead to such an egregious breach of human decency that I just can not participate on 2Peas any more. I won't lend my name or my activity to any organization that feels this current tact is an appropriate one. I am not without fault. (I believe it is against the Terms of Use to mention an LSS by name; something I've done many times.) But I believe my current 24 hour "ban" from 2Peas is vengefully motivated--not because I mentioned the name of an LSS, but because I stated (in a different thread) that I thought 2Peas was not handling their customer service appropriately. Being poor at customer service is bad; being vengeful is intolerable to me.

I am still on FB, and if you have the RAK, please feel free to contact me. I will miss you all sooooooooo much.
XOXOXOXOXOXOX,
Barbara

Alright, ladies, I have started a Facebook group for us. Certainly don't feel obligated to join there if that's not your thing! I have added everyone who I am friends with on Facebook. Barbara is going to go through the RAK list and send email invites to everyone else! Let us know if you do not get an invite.

FYI the FB group is Private (invite only) no one not in the group can see messages and there is the option for IRL chat. I think it may work for many but not all. I'm pretty FB illiterate myself.

We have a bit of time before next month to decide how we might want to deal with posting challenges. I'd hate to lose this thread completely but if it has to happen, we'll find a way to stay in contact.

I'm more concerned about NEW members and possible recruiting of NEW members. Any thoughts?

I'm on Facebook and use it quite a bit personally and for our business and would love a Facebook group BUT it is just my opinion that we not get rid of this thread all together. Now, I'm not a regular poster or contributor so that is just my two cents.
I do love coming to this thread.

To be honest, I had NO idea all this stuff was going on until today.
I'm sad for Barbara. I'm sorry this is all happening.

On a scrappy note - I've been going through my old scrapbooking magazines. I have wanted to get rid of most if not all of them for a while but have not been able to quite do it because I had ideas marked in them. I thought about tearing out the pages but I've never been able to do that either. Must be the antiquer/saver in me. Well, I decided I'm going to grab one at a time and keep it on my table until I either do the idea that I marked OR decide it is not for me any more and put the magazine in the get rid of box. When the box is full I'm taking it out to the Trading Post and selling them in our old magazine an book section. In the first magazine I made a layout for my random memories album about TV when I was a kid. The magazine was a CK from 2010. I'm feeling good about it! Well just had to share and take our minds off the sad stuff for just a bit.

Love you All!

Not sure what the answer is for 2P's. I have all my layouts uploaded to the site so I'll always keep my account up and running. I do go to Facebook everyday.

As for what they do here, it's their site, they have already told us they can do whatever they want. I don't have a problem with them forbidding people from coming on here and promoting other online stores or with them not wanting people to bad mouth them on their own site. I do think they should be fair about it though and not just pick and choose some people. Looking at the post that Jaime made about their choice to start enforcing the TOU, there were around 10 other threads on one forum that had other store names or complaints in the title. I've read horrendous things that have been posted and they aren't banned. Doesn't make sense.

I spend way to much time on the computer and really should just turn it off and do something for real. Can't say I like the idea of having to post the Chatty Scrappers in two places just to include everyone. But then again, like I said, I don't have any answers.

I always say what I mean, I just may not mean to say it out loud!

hi- I am sad about Barb too.

By the way, Geek has a long long post about TOU, explaining every example he can.
For instance, we can mention LSS's by name as 2 Peas are not in competition with them.

Hello Ladies. Sorry I haven't been visiting much here lately. Sorry about Barb, but hope the rest of you will still be around. I have been reading all the drama here, and am aware of a new MB started by one of the disgruntled Peas.

If you start a Facebook group, let me know. If any of you are Facebook friends with former Peas Debbi Tehrani or Thena Cullen, you can find me on their Friends list, as I have friended both of them. Thena is so much fun, and we don't live too far from each other. She is practically neighbors with my cousin now, but my cousin is moving soon.

Anyways, I followed the sketch challenge, perhaps loosely for this one.

Christmas Eve
