This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges on 2peas and is a fun place to come chat with other scrappers.

1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. Mark the box for Pokey Peas as you post your layout. Put a link to your layouts on this Pokey Peas Thread for March 2013. (If you don't know how to post a link, leave a note to me on the Pokey Peas Thread or peamail me and I will help you.)

2. This can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items.

3. Please leave praise for others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts.

4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or a dozen. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new Peas.

Please contact me with any questions.

NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!!!

I'm sorry to have been so absent from the message boards. Today is the first day I've even walked into my scraproom to touch a computer in over a week.

I think there are some pretty mean "bugs" out and around this year. This one really threw me for a loop. I have not caught up on the last thread, but I noticed we went to 5 pages AGAIN. (You great chatty gals!) And Angie tells me there is virtual chicken soup waiting for me. Little by little I'll get back to the thread and catch up on all your fun projects.

I haven't deserted you. I will be BAAAAACK!

Wow are we glad to see you Nylene! Just glad to know you are on the upswing!!!! Hope Steve is doing well also-did he get it too???? Thanks so much for the new thread-I think I feel some Spring in the air!

Here are two layouts of the grands from Valentine's Day. Their parents took them to Build-A-Bear and they got to make their stuffed animals. Maggie named hers Kimberly and Bobby named his Fuzzy! I think they both found very loving homes!!!!

Love

Love is all you need

I crocheted the heart on Bobby's page!

Here are some photos of the afghan I made for my Mom.

I will be back later!!!

Nylene - thank you for the new thread, hope you are back to 100% soon, I miss you.

Cindy - great pages, great crochet. I miss crochet blankets, my grandmother use to make them. I have one of hers left, it is pretty ugly (colors don't match) but I love it. You do a great job.

Hi NYLENE so glad you managed to sneak (or crawl) into the scraproom and get us started for March. How considerate of you. Now back to bed with a hot cup of tea, maybe some soup for lunch and rest, rest, rest. These flus this year are doozies. Takes a lot out of us "older folks". So be careful so you don't get a rebound infection.

CINDY your pages are darling. Love the crocheted afgan. It's beautiful. My grandma made them too. We had tons of them around the house when I was a kid. Brings back nice memories. I have only one left (a blue and white striped one) I think, but I think this one was made by my SIL.

Here's the LO I tried to post last night but 2peas was having nothing of it...LOL

Hey everyone it's a sunny Cali day today. I am still feeling artsy craftsy but not sure what to make. I did get out to take come flower pictures yesterday and they turned out pretty good. So I got an idea how to use them but thinking.

Can you believe it is March already? This year is going so fast. Geez!

Cindy- I love it! What a beautiful afghan you made. Wowzers! The little flowers on them are just fab too. Thanks for sharing it. I gotta get back to crocheting and now you can be my inspiration.

Nylene- Thanks for the new thread. We have missed you and glad you got our virtual soup. Take it easy and hope to see you when you are better. Take care!

Waving hi to you all.

I did it! I caught up on praising all your beautiful work. I have had to do it in shifts today. I'm 5 days on antibiotics and I still feel like I'd feel better if DH just used his skill saw to cut of my head! The pneumonia part of it seems to be improving, but I sleep most of the time.

Pam, I think I'm caught up in your trial! That's what happens when you are in bed all day for a week! It's a doozy!

Jen, prayers for you that they will find some solutions to your medical problems. Hugs being sent also.

Cindy, so sorry about your friend. I think I've seen some of her work and influence in the market. Hugs. I love your afghans. I made some when my 40+ year-olds were young, but they wore them out. I haven't made any for ages. You do a nice job. How's the sweater coming?

Linda, I'm loving the trip pages. Hope this is therapy for you as you start a new chapter in life. Very sweet tribute to a fun trip together.

Maribeth, and Kelly, I'm loving your postings. So nice to see you have the time to scrap. Maribeth, I'm sorry your job is such an ordeal for you. What type of work do you do? Are you in the AZ, NM area, or were you just visiting there?

Sarah, sorry you lost your post. Just drop by to keep us up to to date with our transported Brits.

Angie, thanks for reporting on the sickie. I just couldn't drag myself into this room to post. I can read on the ipad, but can't post worth a darn! (As you have probably noticed!)

Val, hope you are getting a minute read if not post here. Know we love you and pray for you and your brother and family. Keep in touch. Huge hugs.

I've had it. I'll be back later!

Nylene - Glad to see you felt better enough to visit with all of this, but be sure not to over do, rest is the best for sure. I live in New Mexico so this is my stomping ground for all my photos. As for my job situation, I think things will be a bit better, some issues have been resolved, I don't think it is ever going to be wonderful again, which is such a same it was once an absolute dream job. I am a bookkeeper and it is not the duties that get me down it is the working environment/culture that is the main problem. I usually don't let it get to me but every now and then I just have a weak moment. I hope to be stronger in the future.

Have a great weekend everyone!

NYLENE glad you are recovering and had a moment to check in.

MARIBETH hang in there, job cultures can be very taxing.

I'm happy to say I managed with lots of extra 15 min stints today to finally eradicate my christmas decor from my house and I sorted through it and boxed up 2 boxes worth of donations of stuff I'm not longer in love with (unfortuately that still lives 16 boxes and 2 trees worth LOL). I did notice that somehow I overlooked putting away the manger scene so I'll grab that tomorrow. I'm tired now. Kids helped me carry the boxes into the basement. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to bring up Easter decor or just ignore that this year.

I also got most of the laundry done...only one load left of towels. Tomorrow we'll swap sheets on the beds so I'll do them too.

slowly but surely 15 minutes at a time. I even changed the filters in the furnace today while I was down in the basement.

Ok I won't go into how much still needs to be done, but I'm happy with my progress.

Tomorrow I have grocery shopping, some errands to run, and working on getting the dining room cleaned up. Still need to swap out the old non functioning computer with the one I earned when I was volunteering. So maybe I'll do that after the boys' friend shows up so I'll be out of their hair why they play Xbox or watch Netflixs upstairs.

It's only 8 p.m. but I'm bushed. Might have overdid it a bit, but I really wanted to get the Christmas stuff sorted, and put away.

"Deck the halls with bows of holly. falalalalalalalala
Taking it down ain't so jolly' falalalalalalalala" LOL

Hi everybody!

Just checking in to bookmark and read at leisure. My baby was one year old yesterday! I can't believe it. I'm glad I've kept a v short journal for her so I can scrap slowly. But I've just had an order of photos so I'm ready to tackle the backlog

Good Morning everyone!

Looking forward to a great weekend. A few must do's today, hopefully tomorrow I can put some pages together.

Debi- I am glad you were happy with your progress, but you take it easy girl, don't overdo. Love your version of deck the halls, we always do holiday decorating in a HUGE way (until this year) and it would take both hubby and I two months to put it up and two months to take it down. Have a wonderful Saturday running errands and I hope you accomplish all your goals today.

It's "flakey" in Ohio this am but sort of soothing to watch.

Nylene,so glad you are slowly returning from the infirmary. Not only is that trial on TV a doozy but so is that illness that seems to be invading every one. Take care and recover soon.

Cindy, your los of the grands were so precious, looks like they had a delightful time. Also,I felt warmer just seeing that photo of your beautiful afghan. I am still working at crochet, from time to time, but I am only at the novice level at best. My Mom used to crochet all sorts of beautiful things too. What a talent you have!!

Debi,I too, work slowly on my cleaning projects. When my children were younger,I used to clean all the time and lots each day. Now since re-tirement and whatever excuses I have, I clean when I have to. Funny, how things change....

Maribeth, some of what you conveyed about the workplace,so reminds me of my job when I worked. I didn't mind at all, loved it,as a matter of fact, taking care of the pts but the working staff brought alot of chaos to the situation, way too much baggage... KWIM. I,too, would come home to vent to my loving dh,who always lent a good ear and helped me greet another day. Takes a lot out of a person and distracts from the real job, though.Hope you hang in there, cause the world needs dedicated workers!!

Kelly, are you painting any new things? I hope you are very careful,if you go on the CA freeway. Sometimes when I watch the news,I see lots of high speed chases in your region. Stay safe, friend.

Well,I am cleaning a few cupboards in the kitchen,so I should get on with it... so I can then reward myself with some fun activity, like scrapping, lol. Soon Come pam

Happy Saturday. As expected, I'm a bit sore today from lifting boxes yesterday I'm assuming. Hopefully a hot shower will remedy most of the aches.

LINDA I think your links for card set D & E send us to the same set.

MARIBETH I am trying NOT to do too much at once, but it's hard because when I do have the energy or inclination to tackle a project I try to do as much as I can because I don't know when I might be able to get back to it again. Trying to remember I need to be a tortoise and not a hare.

Maybe if I can drag myself downstairs and stay there long enough I can work in the extra bedroom and finish decluttering it. Wouldn't that be nice to finish?

Right now I'm off to hunt down hot water (shower) and tea.

Hi, everyone. I'm up and doing things, but I really think I should feel a lot better than I do. I'm going to try for an hour at Church tomorrow, but then I'm coming home to my warm little bed.

I did straighten up my scrap tables and it makes me want to scrap, but I don't really have the energy. Maybe the first of the week.

Jessie! It's so nice to hear from you. I can't believe your little gal is a year already. Time flies and they grow so fast. Enjoy every minute...even the hard minutes. Hope to see more photos of her.

Maribeth, I hope things settle down at your work and that the working arrangements will become more harmonious. It's hard to work in a chaotic- feeling atmosphere.

Debi, I think you've had just about every job imaginable. You are so knowledgeable. I hope you can get on top of the RA and be able to find the perfect job for you.

Linda, I'm loving your cards. I thought you said you weren't that thrilled with the copics. Your coloring is wonderful.

Pam, "flakey" is a great winter term. We had 67 straight days of flakes (most in recorded history) but today it looked like Spring might actually come sometime.

Kelly, what crafty thing are you doing right now? I know you must be working on something!

Cindy, are you feeling about back to normal from your surgery? I know there are things you can't eat, but is it coming back slowly? Loved your Valentine pages.

Angie, I can't wait to see what you scrap next. I'm really enjoying all the layouts you've done this year. I'm proud of you.

Waving to everyone. Drop by to visit if you have time. I can't believe we made it to 5 pages again last month. That's amazing!

Good morning Peas! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I just uploaded oevr 100 photos to Walgreens from Becky's birthday party! Today is Maggie's 9th birthday. I can not believe she is already 9!!!! I will be scrapping today. I got so far behind on my PL that I am going to try starting over.
So I have plenty to do!!!

Here's the correct link to Linda's second set of cards
Linda's cards!

Nylene-so glad to see you trying to do small amounts of activities at a time. Do not push yourself as you will probably go backwards. As for how I am doing post op wise-I feel like I traded one problem for another. I am pretty discouraged about my recovery. I am not very happy so far-I must say I do not have reflux but I do have a lot of trouble swallowing. And I am sick to my stomach and continue to have a lot of stomach pain. I try not to complain.

As for my sweater I finished the back, but decided to finish Bobby's blanket first-I should finish his by the end of the week. Then back to the sweater!

Maribeth-glad things took a turn for the better at work. I know you are looking forward to taking Grover on the road again! Sounds like the words to a song!

Pam-it is snowing here this morning! It is beautiful but I am getting ready for spring! Winter has gone on long enough! I am enjoying the birds at the feeder though! I have several woodpeckers that I do not see too much of the rest of the year, even though I hear the drumming! I have a male cardinal who I think could become a pet. He sits on the feeder like it is his lawn chair. All he needs is a lemonade!

Alright I am off to finish praising , but will be back later!!!!

Good morning everyone.

Linda - just loving all your cards. You are giving me an itch to try my hand at making a card. My favorites of the two sets is the bow tie in the one set and the toaster (That one I absolutely love) in the second set.

Cindy - how fun, I love uploading photos to print and the anticipating of getting them. I hope you have a successful day scrapping, and i will look forward to seeing some of you work.

Long day yesterday with granddaughters soccer, had to renew the costco card and of course had to shop a bit since we were there. Great place to stock upon things for GROVER (the RV). But boy was it tiring walking around that place after standing all day at the soccer fields. We were glad to get home. But i did get three pages completed and I didn't thing I was going to get to scrap at all. I will upload and post links a bit later.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good still winter morning to all....

Continues to be flakey here, dismal and not what I would have ordered for weather, lol.

Nylene, good to see you peeking out, and thanks for the March thread. When I clean my scrap area,I immediately am compelled to make a mess. One theory=why clean?

I worked on a Saturday Scrap lift yesterday as my reward for cupboard cleaning, then got engrossed in a couple TV movies,I am truly a slacker in the winter without the resolve to change... whoa is me!!

Have a wonderful Sunday, enjoy ... Soon Come pam

Morning All!!! I can't believe it's only 7 a.m. and I am up. Having a Stampin' Up party today. Hope it's fun.

Well, the road trip is almost over. Will be starting on a wedding album as a gift to the bride and groom next. Then, I will turn into a real pokey pea.

Maribeth - I hope things get better at work for you. That's exactly why I retired when I did. It wasn't the students that drove me nuts, it was the faculty. They would come up with some of the stupidest things that did not meet university requirements. It drove me nuts. Trying to explain "why" they couldn't do something was unreal. College isn't about the students, it's about making money. So, it was always chaos there too.

Nylene - So glad you're feeling better. Each day will get better and better.

Cindy - Thanks for fixing my link.

Prayers to all who are a bit under the weather. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Happy Sunday! I hope you all are having a good one. We hope to get out to M's and my lss. I haven't been to the lss in a while and hope they have a nice selection. I want to make some cards and looking for some pretty pp. I saw the Belle Blvd. feathers and got an idea. So we'll see.

Last night I was happy to stop my mom's and pick up special dishes and other things I have stored in her shed for some yrs. They were some of the wedding gifts we received that I just didn't have room for. But why save special things for special ocassion. We're special and should be enjoying them now. Some of the things I was happy to get was this set of butterfly and flower dishes. So pretty and can't wait to have a nice Spring meal on them.

Nylene- Yeah, take it easy! This bug is tough. But I am glad you are getting around some. Hope the family is spoiling you too. You deserve it! I haven't been as crafty lately but that will change. Off to shop for some supplies today.

Pam- Sending you some Cali sunshine today. It has been warm, even hot for a few days. Yes, I have painted. My mil gave me a lovely watercolor kit and I finally got into it and played around. I will post some of the pictures I did soon. I really love watercolors. I just want to learn a few more things so I can make more. Also, I think "flakey" is great! Keep it up! Oh, and those freeway chases are crazy! I haven't seen one in real life and hope I never do. So I am safe.

Jessie- Good to see you and congrats on your baby's milestone. They grow up so fast it seems.

Cindy- Wow, that is a lot of great pics. I can't wait to see some pages. Also, happy bday to your dgd. Are you having a special celebration for her? Have fun!

Linda- What a fun party you are having today. Have a great time!Your cards are very pretty. I want to get some of that stazon ink so I can try some coloring. I was looking at my M's and they didn't have black. Seems like they would since it is a common color. So gotta try another M's.

Maribeth- Hang in there with work. But glad your weekend has been nice with your family. Enjoy your day!

Good evening everyone. Hope all had a wonderful weekend.

Kelly - so glad you decided to use your special items on you. You are right there is no reason to save them for some future event that may never arise, use and enjoy everything NOW!.

I did not get to scrap today as much has I had wanted. Had to help hubby finish up the hallway painting project and get caught up on the laundry etc. Tidied up the scrap room and will be ready to scrap during the weeknights if the mood hits me. But here is what I have completed this weekend.

Hello Pokeys!
I hope you had nice weekends. Ours was pretty uneventful . I did some deep cleaning around the house, a little reading and laundry. No, no scrapping , my scrap room was too cold.

The weather people are calling for us to get about 6" of snow starting tomorrow night and Tuesday. apparently Mother Nature missed the memo it is March...

Hoping for my test results this week so I know what the next step will be. It is kind of nerve wracking waiting.

I hope you all have a great coming week! Hugs

Running through and no I'm not in the SF marathon.

Boys had a friend over night last night so kept busy making food, after all they're teenagers. I thought it funny when he left today, he thanked me for inviting him but then added "Dinner was pretty good, and breakfast was good." Didn't realize I was being critiqued ... LOL

tore apart my son's laptop to see if I can fix the keyboard, but so far it's in pieces as mom called and wanted me to come up for a visit. So I did, stopped at the glasses place and got my other son's glasses fixed (he lost a screw holding the lens in and needed the arms retightened), did some grocery shopping for mom. Got home, made dinner for the boys and now I'm upstairs. Laptop will have to wait til tomorrow or later if I have to buy a replacement keyboard.

No scrapping today. MARIBETH you got a number of pages done thought and PAM I love your bird page.

Tomorrow is another day. Til then,

Tomorrow turned into today and yet no one is chatting? Did the reemphasis on the TOU tongue tie everyone?

I find it confusing as I understand we're not to mention other websites, stores nor add direct links to websites, stores or blogs (not sure if that means our own blogs) but I thought you could mention the product designer as long as you didn't mention what website/store it was from. I try to be very conscientious about listing all my products used on a page when I post, linking the 2peas products but listing the designers of "non-2peas" products. I've taken to eliminating the stores/websites to which these designers might be associated, but now I don't know if I'm not even supposed to list the products anymore... so much for an open gallery.

I was under the impression the message boards were to encourage people to talk about scrapping but if we have too many limitations put upon us, that becomes very difficult to do. And if we can't easily discuss the hobby, then it becomes less interesting to come chat over time and certainly if our topics of conversation avoid discussing scrapbooking (isn't that what the NSBR board is for?)why come here at all?

Now for the most part I think our group is pretty good (not perfect)about following the TOU and we share projects and encourage each other well, but I scanned the general scrapbooking threads out of curiousity and to be honest, almost every thread has several posts which as I interpret the restated TOU violates it. I'm all for following rules, however I realize I have violated it in the past out of sheer ignorance. I'm unclear if 2peas owners/orgnizers believe if we only mention 2peas products/classes that we increase the likelihood of people sharing/shopping here. Most of us use products from lots of designers, not all 2peas affiliated or carried, and I for one, am not a one designer/page scrapper except when I do CT products. I'm shamelessly eclectic and in fact, rather proud of my ability to combine products from lots of different kits/designers. I don't want to disrespect 2peas TOU but I do want clarification as to how I'm supposed to credit ALL designers used on my projects or do I just post them without listing any of the products? Anyone know?

I don't want to turn this into a controversial discussion of the TOU...there are plenty of threads already started if you want to jump on the bandwagon and share your thoughts about it. I just want to find a way to abide by it without distracting from informative and interesting sharing in the threads.

My sunshine seems to be getting hid by a mass of clouds moving in...I'm hoping they move on and let the sun shine through.

Ok enough said. Maybe too much.

Debi - I too have been struggling with the TOU statement. Especially the part where it is said anything that will cause someone to click away from the Two Peas site. Well that means just about everything. We talk about YouTube Videos, Blogs, exciting innovations etc. Also, I have a problem because due to my particular style/approach to scrapbooking Two Peas does not offer many items that I care to purchase. I did place a small order for some items that can be incorporated into my style, and will continue to do so, but limiting my posts to items that they have available would pretty much silence me at least on product topics.

Whew! March already!
Nylene, I hope you are feeling better!

Jessie, congrats on your little one turning one! Can't wait to see pics!

Cindy, your crocheting is beautiful! I was so glad to read of your 100 pics from your party! I didn't know anyone but me ever takes 100 pics of a single event!

Jen, I hope your test results give you real answers. I will be praying for you.

Debi, I just read the TOU clarification. I'm pretty sure we can still list all our products/designers in our layout credits. It sounds like they don't want us actively promoting another site (which I can understand). It sounds like personal blog links are fine, too. Guess we will just have to see how it plays out.

Val, we miss you and our hearts are with you. I am praying for your family.

Well, I've done quite a few layouts over the past couple of weeks including my first Project Scrap (monthly pages for the year). I'll just share a few:
You Decorate My World
This may be one of my favorites layouts ever! I had a challenge to journal from another person's point of view and thought it would be cute to journal what my dd must have been thinking in these pics!

Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. I'm still waiting.

School has been cancelled already for tomorrow. I guess Mother Nature doesn't care it's March. They are talking 6-9" between midnight tonight and tomorrow with 30-40 mph winds. Welcome winter. I want a snow day!

Off to bed. Have a good Tuesday!

Just a heads up folks that I may be truly turning into a POKEY PEA this month. Windows did an automatic update on my laptop today and managed to knock out my anitivirus software (which I fixed) and my photoshop elements7 software which I can't fix. It won't let me access it, uninstall it or reinstall it. So for now, I have nothing to do digital scrapping with.

If I get desparate I may have to dig out an old computer to use PSE3 on if I still have a working version around. So guess I'll be in the market for some new software soon, but currently even replacing what I had at the cheap Ebay prices is more than I can afford right now as I have several looming and large payouts coming up for the boys that I've yet resolved how I'm going to cover.

So I may be more chatty than scrappy for awhile.

Hey all! I hope your day is going well. The weather has changed and now it is chilly and cloudy. Feeling a little sick again and hope the bug doesn't get me again.

I had a nice thing happened. I was on Twitter and I sent Leeza Gibbon of Entertainment Tonight at tweet to visit my blog. I saw she is into scrapbooking and has a new collection out with Prima. So I thought I would visit her and see if she would. And she did! (Yes, it is available here at Two Peas! )

Leeza's Collection

She got back to me and liked my anniversary pages! So that was a fun surprise that she did take the time to look at my blog and respond. I spoke to her again yesterday. She was on The Talk and has a book out with cool ideas for making symbolic crafts & activities for personal achievement. Very cool! I hope to work on a project or two from the ideas she gave.

Maribeth- I am enjoying using these pretty dishes. Just makes my meals feel better. Glad this idea came to me and hope use more of our gifts now! Thanks!

Amy- You did get lots done. Your pages are always so fun and beautiful.

Debi- Oh, I feel your frustration with the computer problem. Just hate that. I you can get it fixed soon cause we will miss your digi pages.

Emily- Good to see you.

Jen- Hope you get to do some crafting on your day home.

Waving hi to you all Nylene, Cindy, Val, Pam, Linda and all the rest of you ladies.

Just checking in. My scrapping is going to slow down for a bit. I'm starting a massive project to scan all our photos from back in the film days. I got started a few days ago but it is really slow going. Really...slow...going!

I'm frustrated because I purchased some photo boxes a year ago in anticipation that I'd get around to this scanning project. And the boxes are just an inch too shallow for 5x7s! So I don't know how to store the larger photos after I've scanned them. Suggestions, anyone????

Jessie and Emily-great to hear from you! Stop by more often.

Kelly-how exciting that Leeza Gibbon responded to you!

Debi- sorry about your computer! What did we ever do without them? I hope something works out for you. In the meantime, share with us whatever hobby you find to keep the creativity flowing!

Jen--oh, how I wish I could send you some sunshine!

Amy--No such thing as inspiration overload! Keep them coming. I'm impressed that you get so much done without compromising quality and style.

Linda--how was the stampin' up party? I'm loving the stamps you've been using on your cards. I must be all thumbs because stamps never worked for me the way I wanted.

Pam- thanks for the explanation of Soon Come. Very interesting! I notice you are in Ohio so what is your connection to Jamaica?

Anne & Val- check in when you can.

Waves, Hugs and California Sunshine to anyone I missed.

Good morning all... the flakes have grouped up here in Ohio, resulting in drifts, piles, poor travel blah blah blah.. I don't think "someone" checked the calendar=March,lol..

SIL was out early and used the bobcat to clean our lane.. is that nice or what!! I doubt that I venture out today, but it's always nice just in case. Now we have an enormous pile from the clean-up.

Well saying hello to all, hope it's a grand day for you.

Angie,I started to go to Jamaica with friends and dd about 20+ yrs ago as a yearly bff get-away. We were fortunate to be able to stay at one of our co-worker ER Dr's villa as a gift. The trip evolved into more than one time a year, another of the bff's has now built a villa there, and we have a standing invitation to come whenever..so several times a year,we do just that. This year,so far,we stayed the month of January, but next trip will be for 2 months.Funny, this year, our original ER Dr. was there the same time as we were, just down the street so we were all able to visit and reminice over all the good times. This year the highlight, was that my dgd Kait went with us,making it a 3 generation wonderful time for me. She loved it, and now plans to join the group.I have truly been blessed with not only invaluable friends but what a gift all my trips have been. Thanks for asking.. Soon come pam

PAM that sounds like a wonderful retreat. I've never been to Jamaica but boy I think I'd love it too.

I used to go to Hawaii every year when I was first married to the boys' father, then it switched to Mexico, then it switched to not married any longer and no money to travel. Oh well, I loved it when I could do it.

My PSE7 is dead. There is no reviving it. I can't even re-install it ( I found the original not-supposed-to-expire download and serial number but alas it won't work as the company went out of business). Adobe doesn't support PSE7 any more (too old) so I will need to purchase a new copy eventually. Even though I hadn't planned on upgrading; I was quite content with what I had, this may force me to. In the meantime I'm catching up with organizing my digital stash and working on decluttering my home.

Off to go get the kids...early dismissal day here and they have to write up the beginning stages of their science projects tonight...I have a feeling it could be a L---o---n---g night.

Moving a little slow today but hope to get going. Had a good evening last night. We watched American Idol and enjoyed it. I especially love watching after they get down to the top 20 or so. So the boys perform tonight. Hope they do well, too. Do any of you watch this show?

Pam- Oh, your bff trip sounds so awesome. I have never been to Jamaica but years ago I did go on a cruise to the Bahamas. Boy, that was a fun trip. I would like to visit more of those islands down the road. So relaxing!

Angie- How is your project going? I have thought of scanning lots of our family pics to get them preserved but that is a lot of work. But would be worth it. That must be frustrating to have pics that don't fit in the box. I used notebooks and those plastic sleeves to hold some of ours at my mom's.

Debi- Sorry to hear about your computer. So irritating!

LINDA this was a BIG trip...you did so many things, went to so many places. I thought you were done scrapping it but I was wrong. Kudos to you for going on that suspension bridge...not me. I couldn't go on the one in Vancouver Canada either. I'm a chicken when it comes to bridges, yet I used to ski jump and sky dive. One never knows...

I put a bid on PSE11 at Ebay...now it's a 2 day wait to see who outbids me. LOL

I have a headache coming on...hope it goes away quickly. Not sure why I'm getting one.

Maybe I'll go watch a movie.

Sunny Thursday here in Ohio...hello all!!

Just a quickie to say hi and hope all is well. Nylene are you still improving? Take care and go slowly, stay away from those bugs, lol!!

Meandering through life as per my custom... thinking lots of spring thoughts. Still lots of snow on the ground here but I do see a gradual melt.

Will be watching my "trial" (tv) later,I cannot help myself,I am only wishing for an end to the madness, lol.

Steve will be here soon,so I must shower and some other am rituals.

And I just have one question-what is the next number after trillion?

ANNE it's 1 trillion and 1...is next, but if you mean next category then...
quadrillion
quintillion
sextillion
septillion
octillion
nonillion
decillion
undecillion
duodecillion
tredecillion
quattuordecillion
quindecillion (quinquadecillion) according to wikipedia.

Not much happening today. Kids have Ultimate practice after school. it's a bit drizzly here, darn it. We're going to a dress rehersal/preview of a friend's local elementary school musical production of Suessical Jr tonight. She's directing it and has been doing lots of the costumes...62 kids on stage and a pletoria more in the choruses for the songs. The boys may whine a bit about going, but I think it'll be fun to do something together.

Just watching my ebay bid on PSE11...so far no one else has outbid me but that always changes in the last few minutes before the end. I much prefer BUY IT NOW options over auctions but there weren't any reasonable BIN prices. Cross your fingers and hope no one outbids me so I can get back to scrapping.

Hi Peas! Hope everyone is doing well. I was under the weather so have not been here but I am fine now. Did not have the flu, but a headache and sore throat. I scrapped today but have not taken a photo yet, maybe tomorrow.

Linda-I will get to your pages when the site lets me. The link wouldn't work, and when I clicked on your name I got the error message!

Debi-hope you get your PSE11 soon I love that new version-very user friendly and not what you are used to. But you will catch on easy enough-I can help if you need it!

Kelly-pretty good hanging with the celebrities again! LOL Just so exciting!

Jen-hope you get good news and good news only. Hugs to you GF and know we are thinking of you.

Well going to go for now, BBL!

Happy day ladies! I don't have much going today. I think my creative self is recharging her battery. This happens from time to time so trying to be patience cuz I want make lots of things but no real ideas yet. I think watching all those 2 Peas class videos, I got all these ideas in my head. So let's see what happens.

Pam- Glad you are taking care of you. Have you been cooking anything special? I still remember that peanut butter pie you made. I still got to try it. My dh loves peanut butter.

Cindy- You got sick? Oh boy! This bug is going around too much. Happy to hear you are feeling better. Yeah, I was excited to have Leeza visit. She seems like a warm and generous lady. Also, I am looking forward to seeing some of her new collection too. Looks bright and happy!

Hello, Pokeys! My goal for yesterday was to get caught up on 2peas, but it just didn't happen. DH did Cub Scouts for me this week and helped the boys make display stands for their Pinewood Derbies. Just having them here in the house wore me out.

Jen, have you heard anything about your test results? I'm hoping that you are feeling OK. Let us know. Prayers being said for you and your family.

Cindy, I had a feeling that you were not recovering as much as you were hoping. You never complain, but something in your tone made me worry that you were still struggling. I'm sorry that it has not been the miracle you were hoping for. Will it continue to get better? Sorry you have had the flu on top of this. Hope you are better each day. Hugs and prayers for you.

Debi, I am so sorry about your computer program. I hate it when I can't get things to work. I hope you are able to win the Ebay auction and that it doesn't go higher.

Pam, as I caught some of the trial today, all I could think was that girl is a "piece of work!". Now that I'm feeling better, I won't be watching as much. I made cards today while I watched. It's like a bad accident...hard to look away.

Wow, Kelly, how nice that Leeza responded to you. How could she not?? You do such beautiful work. Love the link you posted. Hope you are having a great time with your papers and paints.

Emily, welcome. It's nice to see you checking in. I love your layout and had it in my bookmarks. I really want to scraplift it. I love those colors you used.

Amy, I finally felt like getting into my scraproom and was praising your layouts when the site went down. Seems like that is happening too often lately. Please, always! post your layouts. I love seeing what you are doing. There's no such thing as too much inspiration.

Angie, sounds like a big project you are tackling. I wish I had all my photos scanned. I'm lucky that I have scanned the scrapbook pages. someday you kids will have such a mess to clean up around here.

Linda, the trip is over and you have the album to prove it! I hate to see it end because it has been so interesting to read and enjoy. 2peas won't let me into your layouts tonight, so I'll try again tomorrow.

I will post my cards tomorrow if I have a chance. It felt good to actually accomplish something today. Getting dressed each day has been the biggest thing I've done each day for over a week. I am starting to feel better, but still have 5 more days of meds. I hope I get some energy soon.

Waving to all our other Pokeys! Check in when you can. You are always welcome. Special hugs to Val.

Be back later.

It's Friday, sunny and a general warming trend is in progress, high today is supposed to be about 37. I am hopeful..... spring!!

Debi, thanks for the numbers tutorial,I wonder how far we will get on the list in terms of frequent use as a country debt? Don't snicker, but I remember as a young girl, that a million was farrrrrrrrrrrrrr. off, lol.

Scrapperjen, hope you got some answers and are feeling ok..

Kelly, how are you coming with your pages, loved the one on your blog with the two different photos of you at different times. I think it is always fun to see the changes, but sometimes for me,I cringe at the old glasses and such that I had at the time. I can't say the hair-do has really changed or if it did,it has evolved almost right back. Is that funny or what?

Cindy, sorry that you are having issues, stay positive and busy, you seem to have the right attitude and you have such a loving family for support. Thinking of you my friend.

Val,hugs to you and yours.... hoping you are working through it with your loved ones. How are those sweet Grands?

Knutschen,Sylvester sends a purr to your fur friends and he continues to eat as if he senses that cat food is on the endangered list.

Linda,I am having troubles sometimes getting to your trip los, what I have seen are so interesting. I will keep trying.

Sarah Y how are you, wondering about you, how's the family?

Nylene,I sense an improvement in you, lol, what a brutal illness. Are your mountains still snow covered and beautiful? How's dh?

Well,I must attempt to be industrious today, then I will justify any extra time I have dawdled away this week. Wow,pretty twisted, huh?

Ok I've checked my ebay auction and so far no one has bid against me with only 7 hours to go...but it seems odd as there are other sellers selling the same thing for more and people are in bidding wars for it. Will the losers of those auctions suddenly come swooping in on mine? Ebay is too nerve racking for me. I like getting a good deal but sometimes it is really hard to win an auction and I don't want to get suckered into paying more than I have to as every penny counts these days...so cross your fingers for me (maybe like a vampire cross -LOL) to keep away those bidders so I can get back to scrapping.

TGIF Pokeys!
You all warm my heart with your good thoughts! I did finally hear from my doctor yesterday - the preliminary diagnosis is premature vintricular contractions. The cardiologist called this morning to set up my appointment. So, more tests and evaluations are coming in a couple of weeks. I've been feeling ok and am learning to deal with a pounding heart and chest discomfort.

I am working with DH tomorrow on a tiling job. Should be an interesting day... SO - I'm hoping to do something girly (like scrapbook) tonight.

DS leaves on his spring break trip with his friends tonight. This mama is an anxious mess! I'm sure they'll be fine, but I tend to worry...

Hope you're all having a great week - I'll try to get some praising done this weekend!

HUGS!

Jen, I'm so glad you got a diagnosis. Seems like that is the first step to finding the solutions. Will this require a pacemaker? You are still in my prayers. Hope they have some good answers and help so you don't have to live with that scary feeling. Hugs. Sending a virtual bowl of the potato soup I made for lunch. Not sure it would help what ails you, but it would warm you up!!

I'll take a bowl of that POTATO SOUP NYLENE....I'm not sick, but I love Potato soup. Now I want to go down and make some. I guess I'd better finish eating my chicken soup first.

Ok 3 hrs to go on my EBAY auction and of course, the bidders have arrived. One in particular who is bidding on their first auction and has so far raised the bid to $61 (bid 8 times) so I think they are determined to win. Now granted $61 for both programs (Elements and Premiere) is cheap, cheaper than buying just ELEMENTS on Amazon, but I don't know how high I could go...Other similar auctions have gone for ~$87 and even though that's a good $30 off the retail price, I'm not prepared to go that high. So trying to decide whether to bid again or just let it go for now....

I was really hoping (although not expecting) to win this auction quietly without anyone noticing it...that was a pipedream. But it was unusual for No one to have bid in 5 days...but honestly, the last few minutes is all that matters, right?

JEN glad you got a diagnosis, but kind of scary. What causes that condition? Hope you get answers soon on how to treat it. How old is ds who's going on spring break? I'd be anxious too, but then I'm that kind of mom, knowing how much trouble boys can get into without proper supervision...try not to worry.

NYLENE glad you are feeling better.

I'm off to have lunch and pick up the boys, and watch my auction, although I may be out of it at this point.

Have a great weekend everyone.
