Because I need to know...

Does CVS do matte prints in-store or is it like Walgreens where you can only get glossy prints and have to do mail order for matte?

Fellow offender here... I get matte prints at Walgreens by having them changed to true digital prints. They are slightly smaller than an actual 4x6, but I prefer that as well because it gives me a little more wiggle room on the page.

As for CVS, I have no idea.

That store that's related to the W store with the blue bags, that begins with an S does their pics in Matte if you have a membership.

I don't think ours has a photo lab.

Hilsmom - so all I have to do is get true digital for matte?
And what about copies? I need to make some copies from prints?

When you select true digital, they automatically do matte, yes. As for copies, I am really not sure how they handle that.

When I want regular 4x6 prints in matte from W's where I order, I upload my order, select the store, complete the order and then call the store to tell them I want matte, not glossy. They don't seem to have an issue with it.

This is online uploading, I have never gone into a store do use their machines.

Well, technically, the thread is against the TOU. It's not a question of bugging, it's a question of writing a TOU that is poorly drafted.

Can't talk about picture printing
Can't talk about storage containers
Can't talk about scrap room organization
Can't talk about kit clubs except the one they promote
Can't talk about project life

get the idea?

Basicaly - can't talk about ANYTHING unless it's in 2PEas store. So yeah, it bugs *me* because IT'S STUPID!

We seriously can't talk about photo processing??

Two Peas isn't in the photo printing business so why do they care if we talk about this? If we can't print our photos, then we don't need to buy scrapbook items! Right?

Thanks for the tip. I'll ask at the store since I also need to ask about copies from prints. If they're processing them at the store either way, then it doesn't even make sense to force a finish on people.

And yes, technically we cannot talk about PL because PL is a BH product and not sold in the TwoPeas store.

Fwiw, Walmart does matte prints. If you can handle the lack of customer service, (I have waited far too long for someone to even come back to help me) mine does a better job than my Walgreens or CVS.

Do they do deals like the other stores do? Prints that are 10c or less?
Although when I finally get prints made from digi I may just go through York when they have a good deal that makes it reasonable after shipping.

The TOU specifically states to not mention paper crafting competitors. CVS is not, so this post is not violating TOU. Goodness some people are ridiculous.....

Under the TOU:

Supporting your fellow scrapbooking designers, by name, is allowed. Use of Two Peas resources to promote competing internet sites is not allowed. This includes:

Hyperlinks to competing sites or blogs that specifically promote competing sites, whether in message board posts, user signatures, or gallery postings.
Using the PeaMail system to contact potential customers. Using PeaMail to advertise or redirect customers is unacceptable.
Mention of competing sites in the titles of Gallery postings.

To clarify, a site is considered a Competing Site if it:

Sells scrapbooking products of any kind, even if it isn't a product carried here at Two Peas in a Bucket (since it might be something we plan to carry).
Has a scrapbook message board forum or user gallery.
Sells digital elements or kits.
Offers free digital elements or kits.
Sells fonts.
Offers free fonts.

I get mine done at walgreens--the glossy really isn't shiny glossy. I wouldn't call it glossy at all. I like matt and I am perfectly fine with the Walgreen's "glossy"

Of course we can talk about PL! There is a video series by 2peas on PL and there are heaps of products in the store that can work in the PL concept.

ISing,

But several photo companies do offer free digital elements or sell them, so in fact discussing them does violate the TOU.

I don't think photo processing is against the TOU. I mean..they don't DO IT..so it's NOT competition. They are worried about referring Ps to other competitors. IF we don't process our pictures..we can's scrap for crying out loud..ha

OK but what about PL? PL is a physical product and they don't carry PL. If you talk about PL it is kind of hard not to mention Becky Higgins and her website. Why use the PL name?
I really think 2Peas should rethink labeling their videos with PL since BH is a direct competitor and 2Peas doesn't sell PL! If they want to be accurate they should call it Project 365 or Everyday Scrapping with pocket page protectors since they aren't using PL products. I think this would also help people distinguish between doing Project 365/52/12 and PL products.

I don't get how it is ok for them to promote a direct competitor and then say that we would be violating their TOU if we talk about said competitor (since she distributes scrapbooking supplies and has freebies on her site).
