i was just thinking about how many things i've confiscated from my kitchen/bought from the kitchen section to store things in/use in my space. how about you? what have you confiscated from your kitchen?

here's my list:

1 set of cookie cutters - for clay
1 pink visionware pan - for melting wax, etc.
2 cake pans - to put plife stuff in
3 bowls - for jewelry findings
4 cups - tools, brushes, etc.
4 little glass dishes - full of flair at the moment
1 colander - mixed media supplies
1 spice spinner with jars - little embellishments
1 muffin tin - remember stacy julian's twelve?

i also found the cutest fruit basket stand that may get bought for my space. no idea what i'll put in it, but it looks like a good size for sheets of stickers and such. lol...

what about you... what kitchen items have found their way into your space?

I can only think of one thing off the top of my head: a tiered fruit stand. I purchased it specifically to hold my most used tools on my desk: scissors, adhesive, punches, pin cushion.

ETA: I forgot my mason jars, which hold ribbon and flowers.

The one thing that came quickly to mind was a glass dish with three compartments my brother and SIL gave me for Christmas one year, and I am sure they thought of it as a snack server. I think I stored it in the kitchen briefly before deciding it was perfect for some small emebellsihments. Other than that, maybe the jars I keep my ribbon in, although I may have bought them at WM for the ribbon, I can't remember.

I have stamps in large plastic reclosable cereal containers. I have taken the kitchen shears on occasion. I have random stuff in random jars. And I once used the butcher knife as a tracing template.

Of course! (Smacking head with hand)Excellent idea, thank you! Goodbye, messy, torn sheet of waxed paper!

I've got a rolling pin for clay, a set of tongs & a spatula for the electric craft pan (for UTEE), cute coffee mugs that matched my sailing theme, a tupperware dish to hold the random little bits that I'm too lazy to put away yet, & baby spoons for sprinkling glitter.

Sit. Stay. Pea!

I've only stolen one of my glass accessory holders from the kitchen (for loose embellishments).
However...I keep stealing my daughter's toy baskets, lol. Her toys use to be so nicely organized into their own little categories/baskets...but now they are more mixed up then ever. I don't think she minds to much though!

I have taken the crates that small oranges come in and use them for my 6 x 6 pads. They fit perfectly. I also have a cute cow bowl (I love cows...lol) that I put on my scrap desk for die cuts and bits and pieces of things.

Little spice jars
Washed out Talenti gelato containers - they are plastic, but sturdy and a nice size, so I use them for ribbon and tags
