|Posted: 3/10/2013 9:36:06 AM|It's true. I've been needing a new photo printer for about a year. Yesterday I hit my breaking point with ordering photos online...it's just not working. So, I ordered the Selphy CP900! It should arrive in a few days...yippee!
Any tips on setting up and using that Selphy CP900? I ordered extra photo paper. Should I also order extra ink?

Dearlizzy had a great video on her blog about setting it up.
Congrats! I am thinking of it too.

So how much does it cost per photo to print at home? Any idea?

You will love it! I am usually able to get a pack (ink and paper) for 108 4x6 for about $28.

That's .26 a print! Why would you do that when you can get store printed photos for .10 - .19? Not bashing, really wanting to know what the reason is. Are they better quality? Or is it just the convenience?

Convenience definitely but also the colors look great. I hate going to the store and some how always get behind someone who can't decide what they want to print or how to work the machine.

Woohoo! Got an order update that my Selphy is being delivered tomorrow!
I fell in love after watching the Dear Lizzy video. It looks convenient and easy to use.
I'm tired of waiting for prints and paying for shipping when ordering online. I use 3x5 prints more than the standard 4x6 size that most stores print. I've noticed the quality of prints at Target/Walgreens/etc is just not as great.
Can't wait to put my Selphy to use!

It is definitely convenience for me. If I didn't print at home for PL, I would just not get it done. I'm not good about planning ahead and need to do it as I go.

I didn't read the other posts but it only comes with enough ink/paper for six or eight prints. Make sure you get extra!

Convenience and portability. I was able to print out photos for an ill member of my family from my hotel room. He loves the pictures I gave him. I can't put a price on that.
It's an amazing machine and the price is great considering it saves you gas money, as well as the time you would've spent driving and time spent in the store.
Also, like another pea mentioned, the quality is amazing. Highly recommend this little machine.

convenience is the major reason I got a cp900.
I just ordered like 400 prints on snapfish but when I am home and want to do a layout but am too lazy to drive to the store (my nearest place for instant prints is about 30 minutes away) I can print a few.
I recommend getting the pack on amazon for ink and paper:
