|Posted: 3/12/2013 9:57:03 PM|I just noticed that the new Crate Paper line, "The Pier", just popped up on the Crate Paper blog a few minutes ago.
What do you think?
I'm a huge Crate fan, so this makes me giddy-giddy, I tell you!

|Posted: 3/12/2013 10:10:05 PM|I absolutely LOVE that line! I am a huge sucker for any and all beach/summer/travel collections---looks to be an expensive mid season for me!

Omg...I swoon over this line! The beach umbrella Hexie paper? Genius!
|Posted: 3/12/2013 10:16:39 PM|
I'm probably in the minority on this, but it's not my favorite - not sure why. I don't know if it's the colors, or the look itself.

I love this collection. But does anyone else think it is a very October Afternoon collection? I'm sure that's why Iove it so much.

|Posted: 3/12/2013 10:23:56 PM|I LOVE Crate Paper. Always have.
AND... do I see GOLD on some of those embellishments?
But I do wish their papers were just a little less dingy looking. I do love some vintage/distressed paper but just not all the time for everything. Crate Paper's pattern papers are SO beautiful and SO unique, I just wish I could have one clean and one dirtied up version of each!!

TFS, love that pp, and everything else. Wonder when it will hit that stores.

I'm not a huge Crate fan so this line doesn't do much for me. If we're talking nautical/beach lines the Fancy Pants line is more my style. I don't like pastels.

I love Crate Paper, but I feel like this theme and color line have already been done to death by other companies. I'm ready for some darker colors in scrapbook lines.

It reminds me of October Afternoon's Midway. I like the colors and the patterns, but the theme isn't something I would normally scrap.

|Posted: 3/13/2013 8:37:02 AM|I like a few of the papers, but overall the line has too much pink for me. I'm just not a fan of pink for the most part.
Besides, my pier pics are more boats and water type than amusement park/carnival type, so the embellishments aren't quite what I'd be looking for.
Now, if they had jumped on the anchor trend, I would have been scooping it up.

It's very cool! Looking forward to seeing it here at Two Peas!

I think I'll need that one soon. For the beach photos I have taken but not scrapped.
Ancient Ancestor of Pea
|Posted: 3/13/2013 9:46:09 AM|My first reaction was meh...a little too washed out for the bright colors I usually have. Then I thought of some beach photos I have from a couple years ago that might work. So I may end up with some of this.
Anyone notice the old school film slide embellies? That actually made me a little excited. I have a few of those still left in my stash from ions ago. Hopefully seeing some designers use these will inspire me to use mine up. Just like I've been using up my ancient vellum envelopes recently.

I do like the patterns and colors, but I don't think I'll have any beachy/boardwalk photos to scrap. I'll probably stick to just the PP since there are lots of versatile patterns, and maybe those super cute slide frames. Love those!
Edited to add that I agree with a previous poster that this line reminded me of October Afternoon.
|Posted: 3/13/2013 10:06:43 AM|Oooooh!!!! The colours are incredibly soft and pretty, just love it
|Posted: 3/13/2013 10:27:00 AM|
My immediate reaction was love. I need paper for a Disney album my parents are taking later this year. But the more I looked at it, the more I think the colors are too washed out and muted. Too dingy like some of you have said.

|Posted: 3/13/2013 10:40:31 AM|Ok this collection is a MUST have for me!! I love summer themed products since that's my favirite season, but a lot of the summer themed product lines out are a bit cheesey. This one is just perfect...I think I'm in love

Holy cow!!!! I love ALL of it!!!!!
What are you looking at?
|Posted: 3/13/2013 10:59:50 AM|
I love it, and I immediately thought of some photos I have that will go perfectly with it. I don't think I've met anything CP I haven't liked!
@biochemipea, that would be such a good idea if companies would put out a 'clean' and 'distressed' version of their lines. Or just a clean version, and sell a few inks and distressing stuff with the line for if you like that look.

Love the clouds that look like doilies, and the colours. I wouldn't get the more beachy-themed stuff though, but there seems to plenty of papers without popsicles etc. on them, lol. Thanks for sharing!

Love the all the gold foil, the doily cloud paper (clever!), and the Popsicle paper.
Total must have!!!
