I'm working on a scrapbook of my mother's life. She passed away last summer and I've inherited photos dating back to the 1930's. This is my first ever scrapbook and the book is getting full. My question is, does Two Peas not sell extension posts or cardboard spacers? (I'd like to make this all one book and not split it up if at all possible) Thanks!

I don't know if they sell them or not, but you may want to consider using a three Ron album if its going to get overly large. Much easier to manage. It awesome that you are doing that, what a neat scrapbook to have!

She means a 3-ring album. Personally I prefer postbound too. But to answer your question, I don't think 2Ps sells the spacers.

The book I have was a gift from my husband because he knew I wanted to put this scrapbook together, but not knowing anything about the options I probably would have chosen the same kind.

Two Peas doesn't have the post extensions either so I'll have to continue my search elsewhere.

Thanks ladies!

you can make your own spacers out of chipboard. and you can usually find long-shanked posts at the hardware store.

The long shanked screws are better than using extenders - I think they're called screw posts, and they're in the small parts aisle at Lowes (in my store, the one straight ahead as you come in the door).

I cut and punch artfoam for my 'spacers' and, if the spine of the existing album isn't wide enough, I cut a new spine from vinyl fabric and line it with thin cardboard.

They have them at the big box stores. That's where I got them before I switched to 3 ring

My husband was kind of excited when I explained that "Chicago screws" are like the posts and they sell them at Home Depot because he's always looking for an excuse to go there. lol

As for the spacers, I may just make my own.

So sorry about your Mom, ElleCee. What a wonderful scrapbook to have - and a very sweet hubby to buy an album for you!

I don't know much about the spacers, but I would love to see your scrapbook! What a treasure.
