Good Afternoon,

how is everyone today? today is not too bad for me. This morning was a little rough as i woke up with a major headache. apparently we are getting a major snowstorm. ugh i'm soooo ready for spring.
Quote for this week:

I'm not sure why i picked it but i just love it.

How is everyone doing on their health goals? i have noticed my weight loss is slowing down. I know i need to step it up.

I am starting exercising two times this week. continue on drinking water and reducing coffee...

I also need to catch up on my scrappy projects.. I need to reevaluate on some of them and determine if they are worth to keep working on or drop.. some of them have been sitting on shelf for two years.. so it is time to either finish it or get rid of it.. no more of postponing them..

well, off to play with kids, do couple things on my list, and hopefully chat..

How is everyone doing on their health goals?

Honestly, I've given up...at least as far as attempting to lose weight. I am contemplating this week whether I want to join my daughter in her vegetarianism. We were talking about it this morning and she challenged me to give it a try. Perhaps I will commit to it for the next 6 weeks and then go from there. At least with the weather turning nicer Boo Radley and I can get out for some nice, long walks.

Speaking of Boo Radley, he has a routine eye doctor follow up tomorrow in El Paso, so I think I will use that as an excuse to pop into Michael's and/or the scrapbook store.

oh, hun don't give up...

I was on fb--and Lain posted this:

Everyone has setbacks, challenges, and obstacles. They are not a sign of failure: they are a sign of growth! Embrace the new challenge and realize YOU ARE STRONG ENOUGH TO HANDLE IT. I believe in you!

it made me think of our group--how we are often face wtih so many things that can set us bsck from goals of losing weight, being healthy etc. but we need to embrace it and keep on going... don't feel like a failure.. since you are going to try vegetarianism with your daughter.. that could be the key you need to jump start.. we are here to support you and help you and listen.. trust me there are days where i failed.. but i keep going and know that it happens don't beat yourself up.. just pick it up and keep going..

right now.. I need to set it up in my meal plans.. I did slip up and had a soda only because we were eating pizza. I am not going to beat myself up that i had it.. I'm goign to keep going and continue drinking water and remind my bf do not order or buy soda for me...I can't have it anymore.. plus I don't need it.

I have work on anything scrappy.. past two days i had major headache.. today finally it went away so i'm hoping to work on baby album project tonight. i really want to finish it since i have two more to do. lol

chat with you guys later.

Michele, I know where you are coming from. I am seriously thinking about eliminating some projects myself. At this point, mainly Project Scrappiness as I just don't see how I can possibly catch up this late into the new year.

As far as my health goals, I am flopping badly. I refuse to give up, but I am seriously getting nowhere at all with losing weight. My mom wants to go out to pizza it seems like at least once a week and I just can't do that and lose weight.

Marilyn, how did Boo Radley's appointment go? Did you get to go to M's and/or an lss? What fun to go for walks with Boo and enjoy spring outdoors. Hang in there. Don't give up. I totally understand your frustration as I am about at that point, too. I have always been a vegetarian.

Thanks betsy--yeah same wtih project scrapiness.. I think i'm going to change it up a bit and just work on it when i can... I think mostly my problem is i don't have a printer at home to really print out pictures on the spot when i want to scrap and that make it hard... I'm trying to figure out which ones to get as everyone have different opinion about photo printer.. to me I really like glossy but will use matt finish if i need to ... plus I'm really unhappy with my current scraproom it jsut not working and i need to get the other room renovate so i can get back to that room and set it up the way i want.. i already made my list of what i need and prefer and decide to really buy what i want with all my organzation system.. I think that why i fail miserably wiht organize your stuff challenges bc i was trying to use what i had on hand and it just didn't work.. so next month when micheals have their 50% off on the storage cubes going to buy couple of them... and go from there.. yes i did drop it no one was posting and i wasn't sure if people were busy or just bore with it.. I didn't really have a chance to change it up maybe not sure.. I figure i can work on it on my own pace..

I did finish the baby pages this morning.. i just need to add the finishing touches in couple places then going to do a clean up of room before starting next project.. i also need to make a birthday card and figure out my neice's birthday gift.. i did find a perfect gift for her but it was little much more than what i want to spend.. so i'm not sure.. she is redoing her bedroom in pink with zebra print.. find this cute decor for bedroom--online at HL of zebra& pink glossy fabric boxes-- with it on sale it about 40 bucks.. I only want to spend 20 lol ... so not sure what to do..
i need to make a decision today on it so i know it will get here in time.. for her party..

Today we are coloring eggs so just waiting on my sis and her kids then we will have fun.. i hope i made enough eggs for everyone.. i did about dozen for each kids but i know they will want more. lol but we'll make do..after that just relax ..

A friend of mine really made me look at things I hadn't paid a lot of attention to lately. He was shocked to see how few layouts I had made so far this year and how few books I have read. I need to utilize my creative outlets to chase these blues away. I am eating waaaaay too much. I am on vacation starting Tuesday and plan to go back to my breakfast smoothies and exercising every day--no matter what.

Maybe I'll buy the supplies to color eggs one day this week...it's something I really enjoy watching my kids do, even though they are beyond easter bunny stage!

I didn't make it to Michael's last week but have to go back to the city to pick up my easter candy so I will pop in on that trip.

I am planning to make the transition to following my daughter's vegetarian diet on April 1st, after our big ham dinner on easter.

Still coughing like crazy so no church for me today. I will watch college basketball instead. My alma mater played a nail biter last night but were victorious...on to the SWEET 16 for Marquette!

So sorry you've been feeling under the weather, Marilyn. Hope you feel better soon!

Michele, the pink and zebra room sounds super cool! Love the idea!

Staci, I haven't made even one page yet this year, but I have read quite a bit. Mostly Christian romance novels as they aren't too hard to focus on.

Michele, I haven't seen any more details for Project Scrapiness. I am just going to keep trying new stuff every week to continue to RELEASE my fears. I will continue various exercises and making layouts when I can that embrace my OLW theme.

Marilyn, I know it's hard, but hang in there. I had to make some decisions that that would be better for me health wise but take away part of my social outlet. I hope that you are feeling better.

Betsy, I hope that you are hanging in there too.

Hi Michele, so sorry that your little one has been sick again. Hope she feels better soon!

You have made a lot of progress and I don't blame you for having your favorite seasonal candy.

I have a weakness for Coconut Creme Kisses, but managed to resist. Thought I'd make my own Coconut Cream candy, but haven't gotten around to it, which is probably just as well. I did try a new recipe for Coconut Brownies on Friday and they were yummy. I only made half a batch and they were gone by the next day.

I've been wanting to work on a household binder - I don't remember who posted about it on Calorie Croppers last year, but I printed out the info about putting a section in it for menu planning. Would be interested in any ideas you or the rest of the Calorie Croppers have for making a household binder.

Hope everyone is off to a great week!
