I want to start using the mist for splatters on my LO's and would like to ask what colors I should start with? Thanks for your input and any splattering tips you may be able to provide.

I started with my favorite colors.
Mister Hueys is just ink now shine or shimmer.
HS Shine is ink and shine, hence the name and really pretty
I have not tried OA Sprinklers but I think they are just ink, as well.

I like to mix Mr. Huey's and Shine on my layouts.

Well, I have a little bit of a love/hate thing going on with mists; I really couldn't make myself like them until I started watching Shimelle/Glitter Girl and she takes the lids off and just drops the mist on her l/o. I decided I loved this look and have been trying to copy her method.
My first mists were several of the Glimmer Mists; my favorite of theirs was a brown color. However, I find that those warp my paper more than the
Sprinklers by Oct.Afternoon. I generally like those the best, not shiny and more opaque. And now, I was all prepared not to like the Heidi Swapp Color Shine since it's "shine", but I bought a gold lame for a friend and tried it out and fell in love with it. Esp. on kraft c/s. So pretty. And not sparkly like I thought it would be. Just a nice deep, rich color.
I've probably confused you more than helped, but maybe it'll give a little idea. Maria

HS Gold Lame is awesome. I also like Mr.Hueys water cooler & inky black. The white is fun too but doesn't totally dry. I have some of the OA sprinklers but don't use them as much as the others, they tend to separate alot. I agree with others that I like to mix Mr.Hueys and HS color shines. Have fun!

I'd maybe start with the neutrals... a black, white and Studio Calico shine.
After that I'd just get what you think you'll love... I use a lot of blues and greens.

My fave of any of them is Lindy Stamp Gang they also sell dauber tops to make splats and eye droppers along with their sprays! Their colors are so amazing they have some that give you two colors which I totally love.

I started with black and white and now I have few more colors. I use mostly white and darker colors for splatters. Mister Hueys is nice, I also like Ranger ColorWash, they don't have shine to them.

Black and white are my favorites. I mix a little white gesso with water in a spray bottle and mist away. Or I drop it with a paint brush or the end of the tube from the spray bottle. I also have black gesso and do the same thing. Love it.

I find I use the mists more for coloring the wood veneers. I for the life of me can't "master the splatter"
