4-13-13 I am closing this swap. Please mail all packages that were requested. If anyone desires a PIF and you have not requested all of your kits yet, please request it by today. Hopefully after I finish my finals, sometime early summer, we can reset and do it again!!!! Thanks all for participating!

***Update: I am closing this swap on 4-13-13. I am going to revamp it a bit and post a new swap sometime in May. Hope this is ok with everyone. If you have not had a chance to post kits, no worries, you will be able to sign up for the next one. Everyone who still has kits left, please consider adding to your kits, combining them, so you are able to PIF. Any questions? Please contact me! Thanks!

How it works: YOU GOTTA GIVE TO GET!

Do you remember that movie called Pay It Forward? A young boy had the idea to make the world a better place by doing three big favors for three people, who would pay it forward and do three big favors for three more people, and on and on...

We are going to take this concept and also tackle our abundant supplies into a single challenge!

1. Look through your supplies to see what you might have so much of that you'll never use it all. Try to keep it to a single category, like the ones listed BELOW.

2. Make one to six "Pay It Forward Kits" (PIF Kits) containing a sampling of the hoarded item - A NICE KIT that would make a decent gift or RAK.

* You are preparing these kits to send to someone else.
* Make sure that you are willing to pay the postage/shipping on the kits you make.
* Please indicate whether you will ship internationally or not.

3. Optional: an artist trading card or something handmade by you.

4. Take photos of your kit or kits and post them to your gallery at Two Peas. Notify me (OP) of your kits and post a link by replying to this thread and submitting a comment. I will then post on the main thread. You are responsible for removing the pictures or noting that they are gone and notifying me when you pay a kit forward.

5. Once you've posted YOUR kit(s), others who have ALREADY posted their own PIF Kits can request your kit on a first come, first served basis.

6. Also once you've posted YOUR kit(s), you can make a request for the same number of kits from other people as you have posted. Choose carefully!

7. When someone requests a kit from you, please fill those kit "orders" on a first come, first served basis. Confirm the order in the comments of your gallery post like: "Sure, ___, the ___ kit is yours." Once you've shipped, please confirm by PeaMail that it's on its way.

How to request a Pay It Forward (PIF) kit

1. You must have already posted YOUR kit(s) to make a request.
2. You may only request as many kit(s) as you have ALREADY posted.
3. Leave a comment on the gallery post of the kit(s) you want to request. State that you want to request the kit and that you've already posted. Say something like: "Hi! I'd like one of your ___ kits. I've already posted my __ kits."
4. Then click on that person's PeaName to go to their profile. In the left navigation, select Send PeaMail. Send a PeaMail to your host or hostess requesting the kit and leaving
your full name and snail mail address.

Additional information VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
* You may end up giving away more kits that you receive, but that's okay because you are dwindling your stash! Plus, everything is going to a nice new home to be enjoyed!
* This challenge is open for anyone who wants to post kits. I will review kits and make sure that they follow the guidelines. If your kit has not been chosen, you may want to add an item or two to it, or post different kits entirely. The older your supplies are it is most likely they will generate the least amount of interest.
* Ideas for making up kits: All items are from the same brand or company, all items come from the same line, card kit, paper kit, stamp kit, color kit, Project Life kit, etc.

Suggestions for Categories of Items
* acetate
* alphas / thickers
* bling
* buttons
* card blanks
* charms
* chipboard
* colored pencils
* crafty magazines
* die cut shapes
* dimensional pearls
* embellies
* envelopes
* foils / metals
* fragments
* glitter
* markers / pens
* mists / sprays
* paper flowers
* patterned paper - can be cut down to 6x6 if your PIF partner requests that
* project life cards or items
* punches
* ribbon / baker's twine / fibers
* rub-ons
* stamps
* stencils / masks
* stickers
* tags
* tools
* washi tape
* +whatever else you can think of!

If you have any questions, please contact me. Due to the nature of this swap, it is pretty much on an honor basis. I will try to moderate and keep the thread rolling through May 1st and then we can reset and do it again. If you have any problems, I will try to mediate, however, since it is PIF, this swap is really about taking a chance on getting rid of some things you don't use and getting something else to try in return. Let's have fun with it!!!

(Thanks Ann Gaal for letting me use your guidelines! Gaal Creative Blog, PDF Guidelines)

I updated the thread title to take off the word "Hoarders". For some reason, it wasn't sitting well with me. So, it is now simply just PIF kits. Any questions? Thinking about joining? Leave a comment!

Thanks ladies!!!! I love all the responses! Shannon, my kits are linked in the OP. When you upload your pictures to the gallery, please notify my by posting on this thread or pmailing me so I can link your kits in the OP for everyone to view.

Yes, you post to your gallery. The best way to do it is make all your kits and post at the same time. Then in the description, list the name/contents of your kit. If you make up more kits, you can go back and edit your gallery and add the pics to the PIF gallery you previously uploaded. Does that make sense? You can upload from your iphone, or from the computer. I used an app on my iphone to type the number on the kit. I will try to go back and make it a little clearer in the OP. I don't mind questions! When I participated in Anne's PIF I asked her several questions. Thanks for participating!!!!!!!!!

Also note, that in order to request a kit, you have to first upload your own kits. Also, if you want to request someone's kit, please follow the directions on the OP by: 1) leaving a comment in the person's gallery; then pmailing them. Please do not request a kit on this thread. If it is in the gallery, everyone will know that something has already been requested.

Thanks! So much fun!!!!!!!

***UPDATE, well, they are not listed on the OP. I made a correction from my iphone last night and wonder if they got wiped off? So annoying! I will post my kits again. Sorry!

Hopefully dulcemama you still have some sassafras stuff left when I get my kits up!!!

Ok I was able to upload 3!! Finally I could do it from my iPhone.

Andrea I would be interested in silhouette die cuts! Even better if they were geared toward PL.

I'm working on getting some kits together. This week has been crazy, and now my hubby is out of town for a few days, so I am guessing I'll be pretty busy with the kids. Hopefully soon!

I am trying to find some time to put my kits together; so excited to get to play. Is it best to do all of the same type of things or put it together in a coordinating kit (paper, ribbon, etc.)?

Counselor58, Why don't you take a look at some of the other kits to get an idea of what others have done. Personally I would like to get a kit with a variety of items that are related in some way-brand or line etc. I put together kits of items from the same manufacturer and they went pretty quick.

Remember, if a week has gone by and no one has selected your kit, consider adding to it.

Oh my I so need to get busy and see if there is anything in my stash that is kit worthy...I haven't purchased any new stuff recently though. I so want to request some of the PL card kits. That is the one and only thing I purchased lately was the Blush PL kit from HSN...

Hope to go through the kits that are posted to see what everyone is putting together then off to my stash...

I love this idea though.

Have a fantastic day Ladies,

I still want to play along but am not going to have any time this week to put anything together. Quick question and it may be in your OP...are magazines okay? I know I have some Scrapbook trends & cards magazines I don't want. Those puppies are not cheap so would it be okay just to list one?

Please don't list all the good stuff before I can post my thingsJK

Yes, it is ok to list magazines. I am not familiar with ones you are talking about. If they are old, then you may want to include something else along with it. If they are not very old, current, then I would think it would be ok to list only one.
