Hi ladies!
You are a busy bunch. My creativity is sadly lacking these days. My scrap group is tomorrow night and I have nothing prepared... We'll see how that goes.

Thank you all for the prayers, good thoughts and cyber chocolate. They are all greatly appreciated! It's always nice to know there are positive thoughts out there.

To update you - I did meet with my cardiologist last week. I have a hole in one of the walls of my heart that needs to be repaired. The procedure is supposed to be relatively non-invasive. I am waiting to talk to the surgeon and get the rest of my testing and surgery scheduled. I won't tell you I'm not scared, because I am.

I hope to get some scrapping done with my recoup time.

Hope you and yours are all well!
HUGS!!!!!!

Jen-at least now you know what it is and that it can be fixed! I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you BIG HUGS and please keep us updated as to when your surgery is, and how you are doing.

JEN so glad you're finally getting some clue as to what may be causing your symptoms. We all have "broken hearts" in some ways, nice to know there is a surgery that can fix yours. Keep us in the loop and I'll keep you in my prayers.

A beautiful day yet I refuse to budge out from under my heated blanket. I think I've become addicted...

So I'll spend an hour scrapping to convince myself I need to get up and do something else, like mow the back yard...

Jen, I am so happy to know that you have a diagnosis and a procedure available as a solution. It's amazing the technology available in medicine now days. Continued hugs and prayers. Keep us in the loop. Of course you would be frightened. I'm sure anyone facing heart surgery is. I know you will do well. You have a positive outlook and that really helps.
((Big HUGS))

I knew I shouldn't have cleaned up my scraproom yesterday. I couldn't stand the empty tables, so I sat down and scrapped. Just grabbed a photo of my girls and had fun.

I'm stuck at home today because our air conditioning went out in our car and it's in the shop. So of course I scrapped. It's a beautiful day today. That's the 2nd one so far this spring. Keep sending them, Kelly!

ETA: I have tried posting this link 5 times and every time it comes up like this. It says the URL is not valid. I have recopied it every time I've tried. I give up. Something is wonky with the gallery. I sent in a ticket.

Good for you NYLENE for scrapping. I know, a clean desk, is way too inviting.

Two Peas definitely has its on-going issues with the gallery. I get frustrated when you know you're doing it right (you've done it a 100 times before successfully) and it doesn't work. Argh!

You are correct...it doesn't work Nylene. I tried it too.

Maybe I'll wait til this evening to post Layouts cause I don't feel like wrestling with it now.

Plugging along here. Some of you already found the layout I posted yesterday. Here's a link.
Easter 2013

Jen- I can understand why you're nervous but we're all thinking about you and praying for the best. I'm glad that it is correctable with a somewhat non-invasive procedure. Keep us posted.

Well...I've got to wrap it up already. I'm wiped out. Every spring I forget that my body doesn't adjust well to the temperature change. It was 80 degrees yesterday. I ended up in bed even before my kids. Thank heavens for a husband that put kids to bed and did dishes too. I'll be back to normal before too long.

I wanted to drop in and say hi to everyone! I can't believe it is near the end of April and I haven't checked in once! I have been busy with trying to get my house better organized so I can refinance. This week I have had my sewer lines collapse. They are outside digging into the street this morning and it is loud!! I am hoping that I can refinance now to help pay for these repairs as they are expensive. I will be happy to have water drain properly again.

Jen, I am glad you know what is going on. I hope everything goes well with your surgery.

I hope everyone is doing alright!

Jana, it's nice to see you checking in. Hope the repairs go well and that you are able to refinance. Several homes in our neighborhood have had similar problems, and those homes were built at the same time ours was. We are hoping we don't run into big issues.

Melanie, it looks like you are getting more bad weather today. What a strange Spring.

We took the car in to have the air conditioning fixed and it has decided to work again. This happened last year too. Can't find anything really wrong with it. I guess it just chooses the days it wants to work and the days it wants to nap! Oh well, not an expensive fix. Glad it was working while we were in Calif. with Angie.

Well, I'm off to get some errands run. Have a nice day, everyone.

Good afternoon Ladies!

Knutschen,so glad to hear from you. Good luck on the water issue and the refinancing. Hope you get one of those super low rates.

Nylene, don't you just love it when things act tricky. I have some things like that and you just never know.

I can only chat a minute,I am heading out to pick up a friend and drop her off to pick her car up after repairs then I need to do a little shopping. I have bbq ribs in the crockpot,so dinner is started.

Very cool last pm and cool and windy today... Ok,I am resigned that there will be no spring this year. A friends mother did spot a hummer. The spotter lives about 40 miles south so.... I will need to make some nectar.

Have a great day. Hugs to Jen,do you need some more chocolate? Try to stay positive,we are all thinking about you.

I ran my errands and came back to finish a layout. There are lots of other things I should be doing, but my tables were clear and I felt the paper calling to me. I hope this link works, since it looks like 2peas can't get the last one to work.

Play

Pam, I hope the hummers find your nectar. I am seeing the beginning of leaves on trees, but it's still cold and windy. I'm afraid summer will just come with a vengeance and we won't have more than 2 days of Spring.

Angie, you are lucky to have such a great DH to put the children to bed AND do the dishes. We kinda like him too! I'm glad he takes good care of my "little girl" and my grandchildren. Can't wait to see you guys again.

Hugs to all!

I should never go into the basement. I warned the boys, if I don't come out in 1/2 hour come look for me, but did they? NO! And 2 hours later I emerged, exhausted after I sorted through art supplies, organized the tool cabinet, moved a few pieces of furniture around, tried to put together the futon couch frame but I ran out of light (no light in one corner of the basement other than the windows and it was dark by then), organized the pantry food shelves and did 2 loads of laundry, all while hunting for a set of plastic funnels which I never found. Now my back hurts and I'm tired. Made dinner, cleaned the kitchen and crawled upstairs. Boys go to bed in a few minutes and I might be right behind them. Tomorrow I need to call the HighSchool counselor about course selection (due MOnday, hunt down some friction gloves for the boys for the tournament this weekend, pack for the weekend, plus I have a call into the dentist)...no rest for the wicked. LOL

Did a LO today, took forever, as I was doing a scraplift of a design very much NOT my style. Used lots of banners and stuff. It's ok but I'd prefer a cleaner design. Anyway it's done.

We've had nice weather for the last couple of days but wouldn't you know it,it is supposed to rain Saturday and Sunday when we have to be out in it for 8 hours each day...Lovely.

Sorry I've been MIA, but I lost my beloved dog of 14 years and 10 months. She is now over the rainbow bridge running and barking and having a great time.

I'll be back later to catch up on chat.

Linda-so sorry about the loss of your fur baby. It is so hard to lose a member of your family. (((HUGS))) sent. How;s the hand coming along?

Wow, looks like it's been a rough week for everyone.

Jen - Good luck on your surgery. I know it can be a scary. Hoping for a successful surgery and speedy, uneventful recovery. Sending you ((hugs)) and love, my friend.

Linda - I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved pet is so devastating. My heart goes out to you. Take comfort in knowing Chloe knew how much you loved and cared for her.

Angie - what did you find out about the car? We don't have A/C in our house. It died several years ago and we priced getting it fixed/replaced a couple years ago. It was ridiculous. Now we try to manage without one. There are only a handful of days in the summer when it feels intolerable but somehow we manage to survive.

Cindy - hoping your computer problem has been fixed. I would HATE to have to retag and reorganize my stuff. Good luck to you!

Debi - your posts always make me laugh out. Literally. You were cracking me up with what you said about the boys NOT coming to find you in the basement. Ha ha!

Nylene - are you sure this is the Pokey Peas thread? I went and checked out some of the posts and it looks like a lot of you are posting A LOT of projects this month.

I'm still sore from my workout LAST weekend. Was supposed to go hiking today but had to pass. My thighs have just not recovered. Maybe I'll be able to manage my Sunday ride tomorrow.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Nylene - by the way, I know what you mean about the link to your layout. It's done that to me for a specific layout (can't remember which one but it was a while ago) and it can be so frustrating. I'm not sure why it does that but I gave up and just pasted the text for the url in the post instead of trying to create the URL link (hope that made sense).

Linda, I am so sorry about the loss of your Chloe. I'm sure there's an empty spot in your house right now. Sending you lots of hugs to help with the heartache.

Anne, I can't believe you can recuperate enough to bike tomorrow. That was a huge amount of exercise you got last weekend. You must have the strongest leg muscles. Have a good ride.

Cindy, sorry your mojo is gone. I think you are anxious to get outside and enjoy Spring. Take a little break, but come back and scrap. I love seeing all the new things you are learning and doing.

Today is DH's (and a grandson's) birthday. We went shopping for pants for him and went to dinner. Angie and siblings got him a too expensive gift, but boy is he excited about it. You guys shouldn't have! He's feeling pretty hi-tech.

Debi, what did you find out from the dentist? I hope you get everything done. You are the busy bee around your house lately. Just don't overdo again. We need you well and healthy. I'm sorry that you weren't chosen for the CT position. I thought it would be a "shoe-in" for you with the digi abilities you have. Their loss is our gain. Be sure to post the other layouts you did for the application. Another CT position will come along.

Gotta run. Have a great rest of the weekend, everyone.

Howdy from Ohio.... it's fluid here again, supposed to clear late this afternoon and be in the 70's this week. Hoot, hoot!

Linda, sorry about your baby, hugs to you .... Hope your hand is better too!

Nylene,if your dh is anything like mine was,he never knew what size clothes he wore.. lol. He was happy with what I would select, except,he did not like a pink shirt I bought him once. Happy birthday to all in your family that are celebrating.

My life is pretty much yard work, bathing, then crawl to bed.. My pace is definitely slower... how can that happen? Lots to do and then it will be easier. P.S. I don't like this part of getting older!

Anne, how are your herbs coming... I saw lots emerging in the gardens this week as I was working. Always a fun time of the year for me. I got a new rustic container to grow basil in this year, kinda looks like an old fashioned tub. Need it to be a little warmer before I set it out though.

Cindy,I am a slug lately about scrapping,I haven't touched a page for over 2 wks. I miss it,but right now I have other chores that are calling.

Well, since it is wet,I might get to do a page to day after I get the big meal started.. I said might...

Debi, don't forget to drop bread crumbs when you go to the basement, lol

Good Sunday afternoon! I got outside yesterday as we had a beautiful day. I worked digging out crabgrass and that coin weed from my flower beds for 3 plus hours. I am paying for it today but it needed done. I was not able to work in my flower beds ;last year since I could not bend over. Now I am going to add some more mulch to keep the weeds out as much as possible. Too early to plant flowers but I will be adding a few annuals to the mix of perrenials. Today it is cold and raining. So I scrapped a page!

Nylene-Happy Birthday to Steve. Sounds like a good birthday celebration to me.

Pam-stay warm & dry down there! I know you have been busy in your garden.

Well my dinner just came in the door-Chinese Yumm!
Here's the link to my page and I will BBL !!!!

Linda, I am sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is when you loose a pet. I went through this last year with my cat Chloe. (((hugs)))

I have my sewer lines fixed. I am glad things are working once again and I also don't have to worry about roots growing into my sewer lines anymore since they were replaced with PVC pipe. My neighbors came over yesterday to let me know that they weren't pleased with the landscaping they did. It unfortunately affected their yard since they had to dig in between our houses. I went and looked at what they were telling me and I agreed. I was mad they didn't take better care in filling in holes and let the ground extremely lumpy. I called the company and they have already been out here and they agreed with me. They will have someone out here today or tomorrow to smooth out the yard better. I was glad they didn't argue, they listened and took action!

I only have to work 2 days this week and then I get 6 days off. I will be spending part of Saturday at SG to celebrate NSD. I didn't sign up for the big crop they are having because I had other things going on Friday.

I do work tonight and should get some sleep! I hope everyone has a good day!

Just stopping by to say Hello!

We got the A/C fixed in the car and it works marvelously! Happy day! It cost a pretty penny to fix it--some of which the insurance will cover but they might also raise my rates now. (Long story.)

I started the weekend by making 85+ deli sandwiches with some ladies from church to feed the workers who volunteered to help at our Mormon Helping Hands service project. They painted exterior and interior walls as well as doing landscaping for a youth home. Felt good to be part of something bigger, even if my only contribution was lunch.

Pam-I loved your page with the Winnie the Pooh bear quote so much! I immediately started searching for other quotes for my Pooh bear layout. I wouldn't have thought if it if I hadn't seen your layout.

Kelly- when do we get to see those cards?

Jana- I can't wait to see what you get done in your 6 days off! You deserve the break. I hope you enjoy every minute.

Linda-So sorry about Chloe. Poor thing.

Cindy- It brightens my day to see your smiling face on the forum. Love the pages of your grands too.

Nylene-I hope dad's birthday went well. There were 4 of us chipping in on his gift so it really wasn't extravagant. I'm glad Em knew what he needed.

Jen- When is your surgery going to take place? Let us know so we can send good wishes your way.

My son lost his pacifier this weekend. (He's 3--it's been a long time coming.) It really did get lost. I have no idea where it is. We've been two nights without and he's done ok. But it looks like nap time will never happen again without it. I hope scrap time doesn't go out the window with it.

Have a good week!

It's Monday and almost May. Boy, this year is going so fast. I hope you all are having a great day so far. Mine is going slow but I gotta continue working on those wedding thank you cards. I hit a snag with the prefolded cards i bought. I was hoping they would save me some time but they were sort of worped. After trying to fix them they still didn't look right. So, I had to buy some cs and make my own cards. It's some extra work but they look much better already.

We did have a nice weekend. I just love going over to the golf course and just sitting and relaxing. So that is our new fav chill spot. We just park right in front, sit in the car and enjoy the view. Awwwwww!

Nylene- Happy belated bday to your dh!!!! I know he had a fun time.

Anne- How did the exercise go?

Linda- So sorry to hear about your loss. Hang in there! Sending you a hug!

Jenn- Keep hanging in there. Sending you a hug, too

Jana- Oh yeah, I almost forget about NSD. I hope you have a great time and I hope to do a little something too. Hopefully, Two Peas will have some fun things going on here.

Cindy- What's up girl? Hope you are having a good day. All that gardening that you and Pam are planning sounds fun. I love Spring and all the flowers are so pretty.

Angie- LOL! I think we both posted at the same time. Glad you are well and got that a/c fixed. I know how you feel about a/c especially with Summer coming!

wow I've been so busy I haven't been able to chat, of course I didn't have internet access all weekend as I was at an Ultimate Frisbee tournament all day Saturday (6 a.m.-6p.m.) and again on Sunday. The boys did well(their team took 3rd-won 5/6 games) but I think we should change their team name to the Wet Rats instead of Hawks as it dumped on us solid for over 3 hours Saturday. I was so thankful to be spending the night at my mom's so we could wash and dry all our clothes to go out again the next day.

Sunday after all that outdoor time we came home and had to run the first trial of their science experiment; each trial takes 2 hours 20 minutes...oy! I was beat. I'm sure they were too.

Today we are doing 2 trials...finish the first one before dinner, made dinner, cleaned the kitchen and are in the first leg of the second trial. Wednesday we will have to compile the results, make the charts and start the write-up. Thursday, the boys will need to finalize their report and put together their display board. Tomorrow they go to their dad's so no time for science. It's due on Friday. Of course they are also doing MSP assessments at school this week (8th grade science tomorrow, and 8th grade math on Friday)...we're in that final countdown of school crunch...and I'm feeling the crunch. They registered for high school today. So much to keep track of these days I see myself coming and going. Maybe I should just move the mirror....LOL

No time to scrap although I was going to try to put together a page for my CT tonight if I don't crash early. Can't even think about bed til 10 when the last trial is done.

As far a iNSD on Saturday, several websites are running chats and challenges. Not sure there will be much here for digi folks but usually a lot going on for paper scrappers. The boys will be at their dad's this weekend. They have 2 games back to back, so hope the weather cooperates so he doesn't decide not to take them. He's fickle like that, although he's taken them to 3 games this season which is more than he's ever done in the past.

NYLENE I haven't had time to go back to the dentist and still waiting on the financial aid to let me know if I qualify for sliding scale or not...Hope so as it is expensive regardless. fortunately I've been too preoccupied to notice if my teeth are bothering me, but they will as I have some serious issues going on with them. SO many complications from having dry mouth and dry eyes. I do have an eye dr appointment on Wednesday to follow up on the flashes and debris on my eye and to get my eye glass prescription in the process. Fortunately the flashes have pretty much gone away although there still is debris on my eye which probably will have to be picked off...not a fun process by all means, but I've been through it several times before.

Today I've had very sore knees (probably from all the walking on uneven fields and standing for hours on end over the weekend) and a dull headache that just won't go away. trying to hydrate and looking forward to getting some sleep.

Nice to see this board stay so chatty. And lots of projects getting done too.

I was disappointed and a little surprised I didn't get the CT/tutorial writing gig, but hey one never knows what they are looking for and who may have also applied. I think I have plenty to offer but for now, I'll just concentrate on my other 2 CT positions. The appeal to this one was that it actually paid (nominally but paid all the same). I'll try again I'm sure.

Well I suspect the timer is going to go off momentarily, so I'd better sign off so I can supervise the data collection.

Catch you all later.

Hello my new Pokey friends - I have actually completed 4 layouts this month. Yay for me! I don't know if I'll get them posted before the month is over though. I'm more pokey at posting than anything I think.
We are getting the store open for the season. Lots of work and lots of cleaning. Finishing up giving piano lessons until school starts again after the summer months.
I need to scan over the posts and check out some layouts. Just wanted to check in and say hello.

Hello all - hope you are all doing well.

Pretty uneventful weekend for me. Only went riding around 10 miles this weekend which wasn't too bad. My thighs still haven't fully recovered.

What are all your plans for NSD? I saw Jen's forum post and it made me wonder what my Pokey friends are doing. I'll be at a Relay for Life event for several hours on Saturday but hoping I can still participate in some of the 2peas festivities.

Finished a card over the weekend and posted it tonight.

thank you card

Have a great week!

Just wanted to let you know that the May thread will be a little late.
I'm not feeling well with sinus issues and headache so will try to post later in the day or tomorrow.

Sorry about the delay.

Good Morning ladies! I have been busy the past couple of days working in my yard! I have planted lots of flowers, and today we are spreading mulch in the flower beds in the back of the house, Next will be to fine tune the flower beds in the front. I did get the planter boxes planted yesterday also. Will be doing photos of all the pretty goodness. I usually wait till the end of May to do this but it has been so nice here I could not stand it. We have been in the low 70's and the forecast says we will be around 70 for the next week or so. I finally gave in and bought a purple iris-one of my favorites.

Pam-My lilacs are ready to bloom on the one bush-an old fashioned type, then I have a different variety that will bloom in a couple of weeks. That one is more fragrant also.

Nylene- I hope you don't have a sinus infection. You just can't get well and stay that way. Take care and do not worry about this thread-we can talk anywhere!

Kelly-sounds like you are working hard on your cards! I can't wait to see them.

Waving a big Hi to everyone, I will BBL this evening!

Hugs, Cindy
