TINA your job sounds overwhelming at the moment especially with so many open positions. Here you are with TOO MANY JOBS and THERESA and I don't have enough...Strange world we live in.

I spent all day yesterday in paper piles and number crunching so nothing new from me.

Utility room put back together, kitchen back to clean (even mopped the floors). Tomorrow morning I'll haul all the stuff off that I'm getting rid off to get the guest room back in shape; unless it's raining then I'll take down the wallpaper border in the kitchen. Randy wants to run to Evansville tomorrow afternoon so I guess I'll tag along with him. We have a gift certificate from a restaurant there so we can eat for free. He's off work Thursday but wants to play golf. Not sure if that includes me or if he is playing with his Dad. Figure I better take advantage of being able to do as much stuff during the week as I can before I have to come back to reality and get a job.

Wanda - Wonderful to see you again! Hope everything is going well at home?

Tina - My sympathy with all the jobs - Jack-of-all-trades and master of none... Had to laugh at the meetings with yourself. At least decision- making will be quick, lol. Yeah, I'm pretty shocked at what Ruan has come up with. I wish he was still a 'kid'.

Toni - Laughed out loud here at work at the 'humpday'. I can just picture it. These kids think movements like that are hilarious even though they aren't always sure exactly what it's all about.

Teresa - When you finish decluttering your house, will you come do mine? We've only been here since 2000, so no nasty old cupboards Seems we skipped autumn here and are straight into winter. Cold weather and LOTS of rain today. We even had to close the front door of the phy because we were flooding! So a lot quieter due to the weather but lots of admin to catch up.

I'm so shocked to hear about the bombing at the Boston Marathon. Has anyone taken responsibility? I just caught a short report on the internet. Just horrible.

Morning the few chatty scrappers we have left!

Michelle, by the time I get my crap cleaned I won't have any energy left! Not sure, actually, if I'll ever get it all done. A friend wants to borrow my wallpaper steamer so I stopped purging to strip the border off the kitchen. Can't believe how much larger the room already looks. Didn't realize the border was boxing the room in so much. Of course, now I'll have to paint sooner than later because of the uneven paint job on the ceiling edge (knew I was putting up border so I didn't get too even). But, already bought the paint so I'm ahead of the game. Determined though to get all the stuff off to the goodwill before I start though. Have five boxes filled and still need more.

Toni, I'm so glad that Larry is doing OK! I would have been very frightened too. Did they make a change in the medication, and has it helped? Steve is doing very well. He's too thin, and is not really enjoying retirement, but he is back on his feet and doing well. Did Kevin get moved?

Tina, sounds like you are busy as usual. I hope you will have time this summer to enjoy having O around. Glad she has the summer job and glad Griff can swim there!

Wanda, it's so nice to see your smiling face and that adorable photo of your family. Drop in when you can. We miss you and your scrap pages.

Theresa, you sound like such a "ball of fire" getting so much done while you are not working. Don't wear yourself out! I know the right thing will come along at the right time. Hugs and prayers!

Diana, nice to see you. Hug your girls for us! Wish you could see Em's cute baby. He's really growing.

CAZ, just hop right in and chat away.

I didn't open another window, so I can't remember anything else. Sorry! I have Pack Meeting tonight and lots to do to get ready. I'll be back!

ETA: Michelle, I can't believe how much information slaps young children in the face today. I'm glad I'm not rearing little ones. Wish we could keep them innocent for a few more years.

Well, girls, I finally broke down and went back to the doctor. Turns out I have bronchitis. Inhaler and antibiotics. Hopefully this will take care of it for good this time.

No scrapping here. Lots of other stuff though. Still COLD!

Melanie, hope you feel better soon.

Well the day didn't work out as smoothly as I had hoped. The first border came off easily but I had rebordered over previous base of the border that was 30 years old. The adhesive on it does not want to come off. I've steamed, used wallpaper stripper and scraped until my hand hurts and I've still got one long wall to finish. It's the one with the china cabinet on it too. Randy came home tired so we didn't go to Evansville. I do have the car loaded to take to goodwill and I do mean LOADED. Also told Randy to take his Dad golfing tomorrow instead so I can stay home and work. The Queen of Unfinished Projects in me wants to go ahead and paint the kitchen walls I've got prepped but I'm waiting to get some of these other projects done first.

Someone come and shoot me!

I've modified my diet pretty drastically.

LINDY hope you start feeling better soon, You too MELANIE.

THERESA you're like a ball of fire...I sure could use some of your mojo.
My house could use it too.

I've been playing on another site for their challenges this week. I have finished a few pages but haven't posted here yet. I will soon.

Mowed my weeds today, and swept off the back deck. Otherwise not anything nearly as productive as THERESA.

Tomorrow is another day. Kids are off to a friend's, to spend the day, take in a Mariner's game and spend the night. Getting them ready to do will be a push in the morning.

Morning one and all!
You all are so sweet to me even though I have been MIA, things are going well just been so darn busy! I did finish a 130 page digital 12 x 12 book of our Maui Vacation and love how it turned out! No whales in it though. I'm working on a seperate book for them. Need to get back to some paper to do the photos I have and slowly working my way there. I've been doing ww and have lost 17 lbs and feel so much better. Walking and trying to be more active. Which means less time on the pc. I no longer do facebook as the kids won't let me share anything there so whats the point!

Theresa I'm heading your way the 30th of May to see DAD. He isn't doing so great again and need to take care of some things.

Tina could you Pmail me your new # ??

Nylene so great to hear from you!!
Well gonna do some praising and try to get back to sleep, yes I still have that problem but workin on it!
My love to all and looking forward to meeting all the new gals!
Have a wonderful rest of the week!
Wanda

Hey girls -

Sorry I've been so lax this month. Our school's final testing is coming up next week and it's been an exhausting trying time getting there. I've been a little out of sorts to say the least.

anyway, a girl at J's asked to switch nights with me, so instead of working last night I'm working tonight.

Finally felt like scrapping a little and did one of the sketches.
Here it is:

hot air balloon festival

I will stop back again in the next couple of days.
I haven't read everything but will then.

Love you all, and wishing you all a super & safe day.
(All these things happening everywhere makes me worry about everyone all the time).

Wanda - glad to see you stopping by, girl.

Morning all.

Wanda, good for you, sounds like you're doing really well. Not sure what I'll be doing at the end of May but if I can get down there before you go back I will.

Debi, I'm losing power fast. Don't feel like doing anything today at all.

Tina, good luck finding new employees.

Lindy, glad you're doing better.

Went to bed after watching the news about the explosion at that fertilizer plant in Waco, TX so didn't sleep well. Figure it was the dangerous chemicals inside that caused it, not terrorists, but never-the-less, a lot of people were killed, numerous still missing and hundred are injured. Homes nearby leveled and a nursing home and school were severely damaged. Can't imagine a fertilizer plant being that close to a residential neighborhood. We have an explosives plant in a nearby town but they have HUGE bunkers all around each area so that if, Heaven forbid, one of them has a problem it won't spread anywhere else. Anyway, prayers sent and I went to bed with a heavy heart thinking about all those hurting. Certainly put my little problems in prospective.

Well, obviously stalling and need to get with it. Have way too many projects started and need to finish them up so I can start more.

Waving hi to all!

Lindy and Melanie, I'm sending you hugs and virtual chicken soup. Hope you are both feeling better.

Wanda, so nice to see you popping in. Hope things are going well for you. Sounds like you have done a lot of scrapping. Congrats on the weight loss. Dh and I have been dieting since the first of May and have lost WELL over 100 lbs together. There are days I really crave chocolate, but I figure it took me 30 years to put these pounds on, so if it takes me 30 months to take them off, it will be OK.

Theresa, hang in there. I, too, have had such a sad feeling about the people killed and injured and their family members during the past couple of days. I can't wrap my mind around people who would purposely hurt others. Hope you get all your projects done.

I'm tending baby Alex and his sister who just had her tonsils and adenoids out. It's always fun to have the grands around. I need to get dinner started before they get here.

Here's a card I did for Card Club.
Sending You Sunshine

WANDA so nice to see you and hear things are going so well. That's a big vacation album. I hear you are planning a return trip this fall.
Kudos on the weight loss.

THERESA I had one of those days too. Did NOTHING.

NYLENE that's amazing you two have lost so much weight...wow. I'm impressed. ANd since I'm not a chocolate fan, I wouldn't miss it.

TONI you seem to be working all the time, even though you were supposed to get a day off each week. Hope things have improved at J's since you decided to stay.

Ok I'm going back to doing nothing...welll I'm watching scrapping tutorials, and scrapping some...so not NOTHING...but the house hasn't been touched today.

Up but not moving very fast. Temps changed with the rain and it's chilly again, well actually cold, it's 46 right now, down fro 84 yesterday.

Austin had 2 baseball games last night which is ridiculous any day much less on a school night. Grade school kids, first game of the year too, having to play 2 games when they have only had 2 practices. They were short on players and lost both games. Everyone, parents included, was exhausted by the time we got home. Austin did end up getting one hit and scored a run in the last inning of the second game, struck out every other time he was up. Glad I stayed to watch that but sitting out in the wind wasn't the brightest move I've ever made. Zyrtec is working overtime.

Got all the stuff hauled off to the goodwill yesterday before we went to Evansville. Have a couple of bags to take to my two Aunts then the guest room will be at least acceptable again. Still has way too much stuff in it, most of it Jeremy's.

Today is Uncle Charlie's birthday so I have to finish his card and take it over there today, got him a new ice cream freezer. Did paint two small walls in the kitchen yesterday while Randy was golfing just to make sure I was going to like the color but I'm certainly going to need primer because the walls sucked up the paint. I'll also need more paint so have to stop at the store while I'm out too. IF I have an energy left when I get back home, I'll start on the hallway.

Very scary to be in the Boston area today. It's on total lock down. All businesses are closed, no one is allowed outside. They already killed one security guard, took hostages and have bombs strapped to themselves if they get caught (why the first brother is dead). They've identified the suspects for the bombings, killed one of the two brothers and think they have the other one cornered. Scary scary.

KRYSTA jump right in. We've always have room for another scrapper or chatter. No pressure, just lots of chitchat to make you feel at home.

The weather is cold here today too. I've been scrapping on another site's contests (they have a week of challenges)--this is the site I'm applying for a positin at...which I still need to finish my application. Nothing like waiting to the last minute...

Kids will be home in an hour...I need to hop in the shower before picking them up.

Then we're going to explore a bit on their science project.

Hi Pea Friends!!!

Happy Friday! Just thought I'd run by and see what's going on. We are getting ready to be invaded by a bunch of 15 year old girls...Mallory is having a sleepover tonight, so things will be live around here. I've been threatening to break out my Dance Party moves for her friends...she is NOT impressed. I went and picked Olivia up today, so she is home. Tonight should be fun, we have a good group of girls coming over.

I ordered her an ice cream cake from Coldstone...yum...and pizzas from Unos, so I don't have to cook anything, which is happy.

Krysta - Welcome to our group, hope you enjoy playing along or chatting with us.

I hope you all have a nice evening!

Tina

Tina, this....

...made me laugh. We can be such embarrassments to our kids, can't we? Hope you have a great time with all the estrogen running around your house tonight!

Theresa, Happy Birthday to Uncle Charlie. I hope he likes your card.

Gotta run. Have a great weekend, everyone.

Site must be going to crash again, like to never got on.

Tina, hope you get some sleep today, doubt you got any last night. I'm sure the girls had fun though, building good memories to last a life time.

Chilly this morning but the temp is back to 60 so that is better than the 43 yesterday. Plan on staying home and working on the hallway.

My sweet neighbor Danielle (the young lady with the 3 kids across the street) brought us a cake last night, no occasion, just cause she loves us she said (even wrote Love You! on the cake). She used a new icing (which is the point of this story) that she bought made by cool whip. Basically it's cool whip with flavor made for cake icing. Pretty tasty and easy. That's what is for breakfast here, LOL.

Best get with it, almost 8:30 already and I've done nothing but sit on the computer since I got up.

I have been cleaning out this house, it's amazing what can happen when you are off the computer.

Stan went to a different church and I just did not want to go, is a Lebanese Maronite (Catholic) and is in English and Aramaic (biblical Hebrew), is hard enough for me to understand the Mass in English, imagine in Aramaic. I know this is going to be a hurdle to jump and he is going to want me to join him, and eventually I'll give in and go and enjoy it, but I'm just not ready now. He bought me a Lebanese cookbook a few months ago I should of known he is going back to his roots....LOL!!! Is this another part of Midlife crisis....

Tina...Natalie and Monica get so embarrassed when I dance, but I still dance and now I make funny faces just to embarrass them even more. LOL! Have fun with O. It's hard to imagine that they are finishing up their first year. Time is just flying.

Theresa...That is so nice of your neighbor. Happy Birthday to Uncle Charlie.

Nylene... Congratulations on the weight loss for you and Steve that's a lot of weight. Wishing the two of you continue success. It's so hard to take off, but you feel so much better once those pounds are gone.

Debi..Good Luck!!!

Wanda...So good to see you, I miss you.

K This is all I can remember and I really have to get going.

Happy Sunday.

Hi ladies!

I can't believe how quickly my weekend went. The girls were great on Friday night, they talked a lot, ate a lot and played on Mal's new phone. They had a good old time. Olivia was home too, so she joined in on the fun and then stayed up late doing homework. The girls and I went shopping for a bit on Saturday and Mal had a concert choir contest for a few hours. We had church today and Ron & I went to the Pacers playoff game...they beat Atlanta, so it was a happy game. Ron took O back to college this evening and our weekend is over. It was busy but good.

Nylene - 100 pounds is a lot of weight lost, that is AMAZING for both of you! You go girl! You need to post a head to toe photo...I'd be posting them everywhere. So do you not eat sweets at all now? I've been recording all of my food at My Fitness Pal pretty faithfully since January, I'm doing 1200-1300 calories a day, but I still eat some sweets when I want to, I just count the calories. I'm sure that the way that I'm doing it isn't the most healthy way, since I substitute dessert for the meal now when I need something sweet, but on it goes.

I'm hanging out with Mr. Honey tonight, he is watching that gross River Monsters show...eew! I've always been creeped out by swimming in water where I can't see the bottom, this show just reinforces all of my paranoid fears.

Anywho, I hope you all had a great weekend. I did manage to finish one LO on Saturday while I did the laundry. I'll try to scan it tomorrow.

Evening all.

Nylene, I missed that you and Steve had lost that much weight, congrats!!!

Tina, glad you had a great weekend.

Diana, I wouldn't feel comfortable going to a church that spoke a different language either. Good luck with that.

Need to still paint three doors but otherwise have the hallway done. It looks great. I also repainted the brick back splash under the kitchen cabinets (which was black mortar and red brick) and am happy with it (now light gray mortar, dark and light gray/white bricks) except now the cabinets need repainting too. Tomorrow I'm going to start on the last wall of the kitchen, removing the last part of the border, priming and painting. Sure dread moving all the stuff from the china cabinet. Also going to mow the yard tomorrow, supposed to be back in the 70's before rain comes in on Tuesday and drops it back down again, so I'll probably clean out the cabinet early then go mow. Randy will be home tomorrow afternoon so he can help me actually move the furniture. Yeah, sounds like a plan, LOL. Who knows, may do nothing!

Well THERESA whether you get it done or not, at least you're planning it. You've been a busy beaver being home...my oh my you've done a lot. Sure wish I could get the mojo to paint the boys' room and some of the downstairs trim.... seems like such a big job.

I was busy all weekend but mostly doing errands and tasks. And a bit of scrapping...completed 16 LOs/projects this week. That makes 30 for this month so far. That's the most productive I've been in ages.

I don't feel like doing much of anything at the moment though. So maybe I'll get my stuff together and head to bed. I didn't sleep well at my mom's (hard for me to sleep in a regular bed).

hey girls -

our state testing starts this week so I'll be scarce (again). I did get caught up on praise, but that's about it. I'm afraid I'm just not doing very well these days...so sorry.

Tina - glad you all had such a great weekend!

Nylene - Congrats, girl! I bet you both look absoluely amazing!

Theresa - Your house is going to look brand spankin' new if you keep this up wish I had that kind of energy to do that around here. Sure needs some sprucin' up.

Diana - I totally understand what you're saying...just keep me in English, please. I did a lot of the different religious churches growing up as a lot of my early childhood friends were from different parts of the world...and although it was interesting, and different, I always went back to what I knew best.

Debi - I didn't get much accomplished this weekend at all...sigh.

Anyway, best be going because traffic is usually way worse when this week starts.

Have a great Monday all.

Monday afternoon and I finally have it off for a change... working full day, every day is for the birds! Yeah, I've become very spoilt but how does anyone who works full-time get anything done?

So I'm catching up on admin, sending e-mails that should have gone out ages ago and have an appointment with the guy who is going to do my new kitchen tonight. We are finally getting to the planning stages and should be starting in a month or so. I'm no domestic goddess, but the thought of a new kitchen has me quite giddy Of course, once that is done, I'm going to have to re-decorate the rest of my living room and dining room to match... Oh well

Tina - glad the party went well. I can see my children disowning me as well if I dared dance with them. But, hey, we're still 18 in our heads, huh? Are things still so hectic at work? Have you been able to replace some of the staff?

Debi - 30 pages so far this month. Well done! I'll be lucky if I get the many done this year, at the rate I'm going. Get thet application in - you can't win a race if you're not in it, girl.

Theresa - Your house is going to look fabulous once you are finished with it.

Nylene - Congrats on all the weight loss. That's a little person you've lost there! Awesome. You must both be feeling so much better.

Diana - Lol at DH going back to his roots... your home seems such a mix of cultures already, adding Lebanese can't be that much of a stretch But I agree - church needs to be in a language you can understand. How else are you supposed to 'get' the message? Maybe join him once in a while, but do what works best for you.

Right, need to get my notes and thoughts together for this kitchen make-over. Heinrich got a great bargain through a development - a Miele oven, hob and extractor for R10 000 (about $1250), about a 1/3 of what it would usually cost for a basic model oven of theirs. It would usually be way out of our price-range. Being married to an architect has it's perks!

MICHELLE are you holding out on me? I didn't know your dh was an architect? I sure wish I had an architect friend close by to ask questions of...I have many ideas of what I'd like to do around here, but no one to bounce ideas off to find out if it's practical, doable or out of the question. So instead, nothing gets done. LOL Anyway that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Same reason for the questionable condition of my outside landscape....LOL

You are right. Can't win the race if I don't enter. I'm such a perfectionist (not in a good way) that I hate turning anything in that might be flawed so I procrastinate turning in stuff...well, after I'm done procrastinating catching with you all, I'm focusing on my CT app. it's not like it's a big deal, really.

Sun is shining which always helps give me energy. I think I was a reptile in a previous life as I slow down when I'm cold and get all active when I'm warm....

Got the kids off to school, had breakfast, wrapping up checking emaill and BB's and now I can sit and focus....I hope.

TONI the boys are heading into a whole month of assessment exams (MSP and MAP and End of the Quarter Geometry exam). The latter one is the one I worry about for Noah. I hope he passes it because I don't want ot have to go over this material again to take it next year. I stress more over it than him, I think, but he doesn't yet realize how hard it is to study something when you aren't taking the class currently. Cross your fingers for him.

Have a great day.

Hi, everyone!

I appreciate the congrats on the weight loss. I seemed to hover at 40 lbs. for the longest time and then it dropped down to 50 lbs. But it's hovering again, and I hope it will eventually drop. A week of eating anything I wanted in Calif. didn't help. Tina, we've been using the MyFitnessPal on our ipads too. Steve has lost too much, but I think he's being a bit more reasonable now. For a while I thought he was being anorexic. It's been almost a year and we are really quite careful.

The sad thing is that I can't make myself go buy new clothes yet. I absolutely HATE clothes shopping and I just can't make myself go. So I'm still wearing my big stuff. I stopped wearing the jacket that is in my profile photo here because I couldn't zip it up. Yesterday I could wrap it like a double-breasted suit! I MUST go shopping! I need to make one of my girls go with me. I wouldn't even know what size to try on anymore!

Theresa, I can't believe all your projects. Wish I had that much energy. I'm glad you are keeping busy. Just think how nice things will look when that perfect job calls and you get back to work.

Toni, they are doing testing here too. My DGD who had her tonsils out had to miss tests last week. She has to sit in the principal's office all day today to make it up. She's not a happy camper. Good luck on a very busy time for you.

Michelle, there's nothing like a new kitchen to perk you up. (even if you don't enjoy cooking....it just feels so good!)

Debi, I know your pages for your CT application will be perfect. Please let us know when you turn it in and when you hear back.

Gotta clean this scraproom. It's disgustingly messy. Even the floor is covered with little paper snips. I'll post a layout as soon as I find my scanner under all this paper.

Hi All- I'm still having tummy challenges, but tat keeps me in line with my caloric intake. Also, I'm eating pretty clean so that feels great!
I was finding myself glued to the TV last week with the bombing, and the hunt for the suspects .

We have family in Boston who were one block from the finish line, but we're ok- rather shaken though. They live right off Copely Square and have a yr old. Another old friend lives in Wellesly ( and they weren't in lock down - but their sons family lives in Cambridge nesr Watertown . They were ok with the lockdown.

I'm glad that Boston is finding some healing and some closure.
Darn, but the Red Sox beat the A's today though!

Have a nice evening.

I'm praised up and worn out. Did 2 more LOs today and a tutorial. Now it's just a waiting game to see if I make the cut or not.

Meanwhile, I'm going to bed.

Good morning sweet peas,

Happy Tuesday! Life here is going swell. I'm busy doing interviews this week, I think I found my Development (Fundraising) Director yesterday. We did second interviews yesterday and the candidate that we liked best the first time was even better yesterday. I'm hoping to have her at work by June, which would make my life a little easier. I still have 2 VP's and my secretary to hire. We are doing first interviews for the VP's on Friday, so I hope to make quick work of that one.

I really want to find a weekend to hide out at a hotel to scrap, I think it's the only way that I'm going to get much done. I have some new photos that I want to print up to play with...I do wish some of you lived near me so that I had someone to scrap with.

Anywho, I need to run, I have a dentist check-up this morning before work.

Take care all!

Tina

Good morning!
Here is another one I did.
Fabulous

Tina...LOL on finding a hotel to just relax and scrap. My life has gotten so busy all of the sudden, its not even funny. I need to re-group. Is truly amazing how much my sister does for me.

Nylene..Buy some new clothes, it's going to make you feel so much better. Stan has not bought many new clothes but he got rid of all the xxl ones and the size 44 & some of the 42s his goal is a 38 but I think a 40 would be just fine.

Waiving hello to everyone else have to get ready for work.

Good morning all. My hands are killing me today from scrapping that darn paper but it's all down and the kitchen is painted totally. Still have the three doors in the hallway (did two already) but they aren't that bad so I can hold off for a while. This morning I have to put the kitchen back together. It was so nice to come in there this morning and see everything all fresh and serene looking.

Michelle, SO excited for you getting a new kitchen. That's on my dream list. Well actually I'd like to totally move to a new house already equipped with a new kitchen but that ain't gonna happen. Be sure and take before and after photos. I planned on it but didn't do it for my little painting project.

Debi, I wished we lived closer too. I'd have your landscape looking awesome in no time! If I could make a living doing that stuff I would. Sadly, there are way too many landscapers in this area already.

Nylene, go shopping. If you just don't want to spend the money on new stuff, hit a consignment store. You can find great clothes for a fraction of the cost and if you continue to lose weight you won't need the new ones for long anyway. I LOVE consignment stores.

Tina, glad you found at least one of the employees you need. Good luck on the search. Like the idea of a scrapbook get away. I'm going to a scrapbook expo type thing Saturday with four of my scrap buddies. It's at Barren River, one store puts it on but there will be 3 or 4 classes (I forget) and even if I don't learn anything new it'll be fun.

Lindy, glad your friends weren't in danger in Boston. Such a sad situation.

Toni, good luck dealing with the kids and testing this week.

Diana, slow down and leave stuff for your sister to do when she gets back so she'll know you missed her, LOL.

Okay, my hands literally are cramping up so I'm getting off.

THERESA you should come and visit...bring your gardening shears and paint brush. I'll keep you company. LOL

I think if it wasn't so hard for me to do physical labor (because of the RA) I might actually like it, but it is very hard for me since I can't grasp anything and I have little strength (although I am stubborn), and the after effects last days...but I do what I can.

I know I should go downstairs and finish packing away the papers on the dining room table, but somehow sitting upstairs with my heated throw has more appeal at the moment, although I AM getting hungry and the kitchen is downstairs.

Have a good day. Soak those hands in warm water Theresa. Don't wear yourself out all in a week.

Good Morning THERESA and the other NOT-SO-CHATTY-SCRAPPERS-lol

Trouble with a dreary, rainy day rather than jump on the opportunity to get indoor projects done, the dark ombre of the day just zaps my mojo and I end up usually hibernating on the couch wrapped up in a blanket wondering where the day went. Now give me a bright, sunny day and I have all kinds of energy to do stuff, even indoors. Go figure, right? I think I may suffer from seasonal affective disorder, or maybe that's just a fancy label for being lazy.

I'm off to scrap another page, before I crawl out from under the blanket.

Seems like as Chatty Scrappers, we are a bit less chatty this month. I miss those who went to Facebook.

Theresa, when you finish with Debi's landscaping and painting, drop by Utah and I'll put you to work!

Tina, so glad you are finding some replacements for those empty positions. Hope you get some really good workers.

I couldn't stand to have my tables clear and not scrap....so it's all messed up again, but I finished a page.
I can't post it because there is something wrong with the URL. I've sent in a ticket, but I may have to delete it and repost.

Diana, good luck on the mass in a foreign language. That sounds hard to me. I really need to understand what is being said. Hug your girls for me.

Gotta run!

Morning all. Tried to get back on yesterday but it wouldn't let me. Strange, I could read the thread but couldn't post.

Debi, sadly, you and Nylene are on your own!

I found out you could sign up for unemployment online so I gathered all my dates and started the process. Over three hours later, still hadn't got the darn forms to upload correctly. I couldn't get past one page on the forms. I kept filling them in, hitting next and it wouldn't go anywhere. After 15 minutes it logs you out. So I'm headed to Madisonville today (30 miles away) to fill out the forms at the unemployment office. Randy said he'd go with me. I thought we'd hit Cracker Barrel for lunch and then the grocery. Now he tells me he's playing golf this morning and he wants to wait til this afternoon to go there. May go without him or may not, not enough coffee flowing to make a decision.

WHAT? THERESA you're not coming? And I was so looking forward to girl time scrapping....

I hate trying to fill out forms (online, in person) doesn't matter. Seems the online ones always have glitches...done in PDF but can't enter info or can't save info or need to print anyway because require a signature, need to fax but don't have a fax, not email-able or won't print...good luck getting your unemployment started and the endless struggle to apply for jobs to keep it active as long as necessary. Unemployment was more work than work was. LOL

Just another day here.

Ah, Theresa, what a spoil sport you are. Debi and I were planning scrap events with you between landscaping and painting!
Good luck with the process of filling out the forms. Sorry you are having to do this.

I have given up on posting my layout I did yesterday. It's posted and will show up in my gallery, but the URL will NOT take you to the layout. Really weird. I sent in a ticket and have had some feedback, but they don't seem to be able to fix it. So if you want to see it you'll have to
click on my name. The title is Our Girls.

I scrapped last night and have another almost finished. There are lots of things I should be doing instead, but I think I'll finish this layout.

Sorry Nylene and Debi, right now I'm concerned about being able to afford my Prius payment, sure can't fly across the globe even if it is for a fun time!

I went by myself this morning while Randy played golf. It took FOREVER!!!! Had to go back online and complete what I'd already started. The girl that was helping me said that they have a ton of people come in and say that they couldn't get the system to work at their house either, glitch in the program. Anyway, filled out the forms. They'll investigate and determine if I qualify for unemployment and let me know by email. If I do I'll start getting a check the middle of May. They had me look through all the job openings in the area, none for me sadly. Now if I wanted to work for minimum wage or on a farm, I'd be set. Say a prayer that I'll either get a good job soon or get the unemployment until I do.

Did get the groceries bought so we'll at least eat for a week or so, LOL.

Not sure if I'm going to Austin's baseball game tonight or not. A man that I graduated high school with suddenly died yesterday morning of a massive heart attack. His wife is a casual friend of mine and a good friend of my sister's. His viewing is tonight so I don't know if Michelle (my sister) is going to it or taking Austin to the game. I'm going to the funeral home tomorrow morning when there will be less people there. He was a local prison guard and very well liked, it'll be packed tonight.

I always say what I mean, I just may not mean to say it out loud!

Theresa, you sound a bit down. I'm so sorry about the death of your classmate. I'm sure the application process didn't help your mood much. Hang in there. I know there's a perfect position out there for you. Have faith. You are in my prayers. ((Big Hugs))

Toni, how's the testing. Just wanted to let you know that I used your first sketch this month for my layout. (the one that doesn't come up) Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Sweet Ladies!

Nothing overly exciting going on here right now, just doing life. I do have another fundraiser to do on Saturday, it's a live auction on tv that's on Friday night and all day Saturday. I'm working the phones for 4 hours taking bids and am doing an interview or two on there. They wanted me to be one of the auctioneers, but I don't think I'm outgoing enough to do that for 2 hours...so I stuck Ron doing it. Thankfully, he is a good sport.

Theresa - You should definitely qualify for unemployment. If they turn it down the first time, appeal it. They have different thresholds for the appeals and you should get it. I've done lots of unemployment hearings from the employer side, so if you have to go that route, I can prep you over the phone if you need help.

I know that this is hard, we've been through it multiple times, Ron worked for 3 companies in a row that closed down or did huge reductions when manufacturing was taking the big dive here, so what I learned was not to worry about it, God has it covered. I got all worried the first time and completely stressed out, it honestly just made things worse. The other two times, I just relaxed and went with it, I didn't know how we'd pay our bills, but somehow we always did. I'll be praying for you.

Well, I need to run Big Bang Theory is on!!!

Have a happy evening!

Tina
