I'm not brand loyal when it comes to paper towels, I just buy whatever is on sale. Since I have a toddler, they get used up pretty quickly in this house!

I've tried a lot of brand name paper towels, but none are as good as Target's Up & Up select-a-size ones. Their toilet paper is great too.

This ties into the, are you richer or poorer than most peas, thread for me. I buy whatever roll of white paper towels is the cheapest...and then I make that roll last forever. Really, really cheap about paper towels. I'll use a cloth towel for everything but underneath bacon.
There was a time when I used to buy 1-2 rolls every grocery shopping trip. That is just a distant memory now, and I'm just as happy.

Any brand that has select a size.

I only use paper towels for pet messes and cooking (bacon grease, drying meat, etc.) and only use Viva. They don't shred or peel apart like bounty and other textured towels. Can't stand picking paper towel off my food!

I only use Viva. The cost doesn't bother me since one roll will typically last me 4-6 months. I usually use wash clothes and regular towels for my cleaning needs. Oh, and never select a size. I hate select a size. You know what size I want? The size of a goddamn paper towel.

This last week I found Dollar General's Select A Size. They're good paper towels, and are $5.50 for six rolls everyday. Now I don't have to always look for paper towel sales!
The select a size paper towels last so much longer for me, so that's what I try to get, but I've gotten to where I refuse to pay more than a dollar for a roll.

Costco's Kirkland brand.

Whatever is cheapest. We only use them for pet puke, so I'm not particular about them. I am, however, particular about toilet paper.

Kirkland, but I really wish they would make them in a select a size. That would make them perfect! I compared them to the select a size ones at Costco and the Kirkland ones were so much cheaper for the amount you got.

Kirkland and I am not curious about select a size but have a feeling DH would just end up using more not less as intended LOL.

We also like the select a size ones. Generally Bounty, since Target will have a good deal on the ginormous packs of them, usually some sort of buy 2 get a gift card thing. We don't need 2 giant packs for ourselves, but the shelter we adopted our new kitties from asks for Bounty paper towels, so it is a nice thing to get a deal on and donate. I imagine they go through a ton of paper towels there.
And speaking of pets and paper towels, I am always curious, when I see the peas who proudly say they use reusable towels for everything, how do they clean up their cat puke? That is the major source of paper towel usage for us. Maybe they don't have cat puke? Those poor peas!

I use reusable towels for everything except pet puke. I imagine that's the norm for most people who use reusable towels. There are probably some people who even use them for that... but I'd wager that's a fairly small minority.

DH insists on the "select a size." No substitutes. I brought home Costco paper towels once and I thought I would break his heart.

Bounty select-a-size. DH used to make fun of me for tearing paper towels in half back in the days before select-a-size.
I got a little crazy and tried Viva a couple of weeks ago when they were on sale. I hated them because they stick together. You can't yank and rip one handed.
