|Posted: 4/5/2013 9:35:27 PM|Long time lurker here...I wanted to take a moment and post because I feel like our garden girls have been taking a bit of a beating here lately! In the last week or two I've seen posts critiquing their product choices, color palettes, scrapping styles, and how they edit their videos! Jeez-o-peas!
I just wanted to throw some good karma out into the scrappy world by saying that I love that I can come here and get lots of inspiration when I am in a scrappy funk. I can't imagine that it is easy to put your work up for public scrutiny. (I've never even shared a single layout ) But I hope you all know that there are lots of us who love to see the work you create and find the layouts you share as a great source of inspiration! Thanks so much!

I agree completely! There's always something to be learned from a video even if the scrapping style is not my own personal style...color choice, pattern mixing, simple mechanics of scrapping...
I am grateful for the time and effort of all the GGs. Thanks so much!

A big thanks to all the garden girls, love the inspiration! I enjoy all the videos also. I may not scrap PL, but I don't miss the videos! I don't always get out the paints and mists, but I love to see what they create in the videos, and a video almost everyday for all the peas to enjoy.
All the GG'S s past and present, are very talented.
Thanks twopeas for all the inspiration you let the GG's bring us daily!

I also agree with all of the above! Look forward to watching the videos even though they might not happen to be my style, color choice, etc. - there is always something for me to learn in the videos. Thanks Garden Girls for the time and effort and enthusiasm (I could go on...) put into the videos you make.

I too enjoy all the GG videos. I usually check in daily just to see what the new layout is. If I like it - I watch the video right away. If it's not my style, etc., I save it for a rainy day. I've probably watched 75% of the videos out there. If I like the products I always try and purchase under their name. Thank you GGs for your hard work.
|Posted: 4/6/2013 6:49:30 AM|I just started watching the videos by the GG and I can't stop watching! You all do such a great job and I have learned so many things that I can't wait to try on my own pages now! Keep up the great work!!

|Posted: 4/6/2013 9:06:34 AM|Senoritascrapper did an amazing job of thanking individual garden girls. What she said.
I do realize everyone is entitled to their opinion but my feeling is that if it's FREE, say something encouraging or don't say anything at all. Yes there are videos I don't like but its FREE! So I will just move on to something I do like and I certainly won't mention my dislike here on the board. I really don't understand the need to criticize FREE, well thought out and lengthy videos. Plus, the human beings that created the videos read these posts. Human beings get hurt feelings. I know I certainly would not want to read constant "the gallery has nothing inspirational, everything everyone makes looks the same, the videos just use the same products" comments every darn week.
Great job garden girls !

|Posted: 4/6/2013 9:55:25 AM|I couldn't agree more!! I could never understand the people who complain about the videos when they are free! If you had paid your hard earned money on one and were disappointed, that's a different story, but to complain about the style of editing, process vs. non, voice over, etc on something you received for free just seems ungrateful to me.
I may not get something out of every video I watch and I do have my favourites, but I appreciate the time and effort that went into each and every video. And if I don't learn anything from a particular video, at the very least it will usually inspire me to go make something of my own.
Thank you 2P's and GG for all you do.

I can only imagine how stung some of you must feel at the "critiques" about EVERY.LITTLE.THING in recent weeks. I'm essentially confined to bed due to a sick heart, but I want each one of you to know that the beauty you create puts a smile on my face. Every morning I wake up and look forward to watching a new scrappy project video on my laptop.
Your willingness to share your knowledge and creativity touches me on a daily basis and is one of the many things I am thankful for in my life!

thanks again, and OP, great idea to tell GG and 2peas we love them, too many harsh words in recent weeks
|Posted: 4/7/2013 8:51:35 AM|The Garden Girls have been a tremendous inspiration to me since I discovered the Peas many years ago. Even those with a very different style than mine can teach me something. I appreciate the diversity of styles and subjects that they cover. I also really enjoy those GGs who chat on the boards with us. Thanks to all!
What are you looking at?
|Posted: 4/7/2013 10:09:25 AM|I have nothing but good things and a giant THANK YOU to say about/to the Garden Girls. I love watching all the videos, from the ones that are close to my style to the ones that are very different - I actually really like seeing layouts that are very different from my style, because it pushes me creatively and inspires me to try new things. I have never watched a video and NOT learned something, and I usually learn a ton! I love getting the little tips and techniques to better my scrapping or make it more efficient.
I've looked into making videos myself, and it is not as easy as it may seem. I appreciate all the hard work the GGs put in to continually inspire us, and I know there are tons of Peas that feel the same way. THANK YOU, ladies!
