Wow...another new week is here, and a new month is coming in just a few days. What's happening with everyone? Does it feel like Spring yet where you are?

This week's question: Do you have a pet in your household?

It is finally getting warmer here. At the start of last week, I was wearing long sleeves and a jacket because it was windy and cold! Yesterday it was sunny and 80 degrees...crazy Idaho weather! My kids are finishing up testing at school, and my daughter and husband have a 5K run they'll do this coming weekend. She takes part in Girls On The Run, and they finish off their season by doing a run. They've had a great time together.

Some of my kids are starting to work on end of the year projects...so far, one child has a diorama, and one has a book report and invention convention. I despise the fact that it all happens at the end of the year...they used to put some of this stuff in the middle of the year, and it worked much better.

Anyhoo, we don't currently have pets. We don't have cats or dogs, because I'm allergic to them. We've had hamsters on and off...we had one right before we adopted our kids, and she died a year or so after that (they only live about three years). We may get another one in a year or two, when we think the kids are ready to help take care of it. But we'll see...I already have four kids, so I'm not sure I'm up to adding a critter take care of...

this weekend felt like we went form winter straight to summer, good old Canadian weather. I was outside in shorts and a tank all weekend doing yard work and volunteer work and was still hot. But I have a new garden built, an old garden rebuilt and a gross garden taken apart and ready to become part of my lawn as soon as the grass seed grows.

And on the topic of pets, while I was busy doing all this yard work this weekend my lovely 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier spent his weekend on the porch swing in the sun snoozing, everytime we walked by he made a pitiful noise asking for us to give the swing a push so he could rock. Nope he's not spoiled at all.

Good afternoon,digital friends...

Cloudy but warm in mid Ohio today. I'll take it. We had rain yesterday and it was dismal. Lots to do outside and my body is feeling every chore.

No pets here,my stray cat moved on a couple months ago . I do feed tons of birds and I have fish that I have named in the backyard pond. Oh,I can't forget the grand-dog Hershey McDoogle. He keeps me company and always greets me with a big slurp. I love animals except for ground hogs and raccoons, who devour my gardens. We have lots of deer in the yard and fields that come up pretty close but none that I claim as pets.

Hope you all have a great week.... pam

Very nice spring weather here. A little cooler today than it has been but still sunny. Yeah!

We used to have a rabbit. He died a year ago. DS still misses him and wants another one. I am holding firm with him going away to college in September.

Spring is here in Michigan too. Hopefully we will have some cooler weather before we hit the ninety degree mark. Spring is no fun without spring weather.

Last week one of my ferrets, Hermione, unexpectedly passed away while I was at work. She was a rescue, and to be honest, we are not even sure how old she really was. I am still devastated, none the less. We now have two boy ferrets, Tikal and Charlie, and one cat Tigger. I am allergic to cats, but he was super cute when we found him as a kitten outside, and brought him in. I made a layout of him the other day.

Still need to scrap those ferrets.

Danica, left you a comment on your page...very cute! I should remember that you have ferrets...I recall you talking about them before. It would be so fun to see LOs about them. Sorry that you lost one of your furbabies.

Hi everyone! Spring is definitely here in New Jersey... I've been blogging about it over the weekend, so stop by and see my pretty pictures!

It's been almost 20 years since I experienced winter, and let me tell you, I was about ready to pack it up & head back to California when Spring arrived. Now I'm ok, I think I'll stay put for awhile and enjoy the East Coast. I agree with Danica... I hope we enjoy some lovely spring weather before summer hits!

No pets for us. Our last pet died when our older daughter (who is now 31) was about 6 months old. We never bothered to replace our cats and dog, and as it turns out, my husband and younger son developed severe allergies to cats and some dogs. Like Lorell, with 4 kids, I just couldn't be bothered to take care of animals too.

Now two of my kids have dogs... here's a photo of Mia the Wonder Dog protecting our brand new little granddaughter Lucy!

we are having more typical spring weather now....mid 50's-mid 60's, sunny spots, wind and lots of rain. Grass and weeds are growing rapidly.

currently we have 2 gold fish (Blinky and Marshall). We had 3 but one accidently jumped out of the tank while we weren't there to retrieve it. Before that, I had a cocker spaniel (for 16 years), a black and white cat (who died at 18 years but i only adopted her when she was 14 years) and another cat (who lived 14 years that I inherited when I married). I, too , am allergic to cats but love them. Haven't replaced cats or dogs though as they are expensive to keep and hard to arrange for when you want to be away. Just not convenient at this time. My mom has a cute white dog who is now 9 years old. The boys finally decided to play with it this weekend for the first time (he loves to tug-o-war and play fetch endlessly) but up til now the boys have ignored him. Don't know what kindled the change of interest, but it was nice to see them playing the dog was ectastic to have new playmates.

Hi everyone! It is very springy here in Connecticut and I love it. It is still cold at night and in the early morning, but it has been around 70 and sunny for the past week. The flowering trees are blooming and the grass is green, green, green. I teach in a community with several dairy farms, and with spring comes the smell of manure! Yuck. It's worth it though, because the drive to work is so beautiful.

We got our cat, Marmalade, in August. My husband wasn't interested in having cats for years, but he spontaneously changed his mind last summer. I have always been a cat lover, so I was thrilled! The kids were so surprised. Marmalade rocks. We love having her.

The weather is finally getting a bit warmer here in Italy.... definitely ready for Spring and Summer already! I've been trying to keep up with my blog and designing, but the newborn is definitely taking up my time lately. It's been difficult to keep up with scrapbooking and I fear that I will forget things!

We have a cute little Westie dog in our household and I can't forget to scrap about him too!

Looking forward to this weekend of iNSD - so I can have some scrapbooking fun!

Happy iNSD and Happy Cinco de Mayo weekend. We have a lot going on. Cinco de Mayo party at our flying club tonight and meeting friends for a wine club event tomorrow afternoon. And enjoying the fantastic weather we are having.

I guess I need to eat Mexican today for Cinco De Mayo. Taco Time has 5 crispy tacos for $5 today...that might be a good place to walk to since it's only a few blocks from home....now if only they served beer with that. I only like beer (if it's really cold) with Mexican food. I most likely won't be drinking...rarely touch alcohol and with no one to drink with, it's kind of unappealing.

Happy cinco de mayo!
