Wow, this chat is fast moving. Too bad I don't have time to stay.

I think the rules say that you can combine challenges.

Wilna & Lillith- have you always been so artistic with your scrapbooking, or how did it evolve?

Not at all. I started off quite simple but I have always loved art and painting. At a certain point it just came naturally and doing art journalling certainly gave me more confidence to incorporate some artsy techniques on my layouts. I also had to let go of "everything has to be perfect". Just try and play around!

I've just started getting 6x6 pads in a kit. I can use them just fine for PL but using them on a 12x12 page has me stumped.

I like to pre plan my layouts and photos, but it's not my favorite. Especially when I misplace my sketches and plan sheet among my crafty mess. !!! The last few weeks I've been printing my photos in various sizes and making them work -- for PL and traditional layouts. I print the most important photos in 4x6, but most smaller. I arrange them using photoshop and have them printed at our local photo store.

Nancy, glad to hear I'm not the only one working in a mess. I can't tidy while busy with a page, so it ends up with piles of supplies on any flat surface within reach.

Do you find the mess limits your creativity at all? Distracts you when having to search for something?

They are great for layers and punches. I do use them here and there on my pages. I do admit that I collect much more than I use. Though I could probably say that about all of my goodies.

my favorite ladies all in one thread!

Do you know, thanks to you Wilna, of course I finally used my hot glue gun (ahh..smell that hot glue! ) last night finally. I used it to adhere chipboard letters to my layout, adhere my buttons. OH SO MUCH EASIER than fighting those dumb glue dots! Today I'm going to try that technique of layering scrunched up book paper you showed in that one video.

And to Nancy, last night I also tried heat embossing inspired by your Buzz lightyear layout. And I'm not kidding when I tell you that the gold ep that I have..I've had since the early 90's . Yep.

So, thank you ladies for the inspiration and education you provide here, it's so much appreciated!

Really!? Because everytime I hear myself on a video, I'm like "who the heck is that girl with that high voice?", that doesn't sound anything like me. I think I get excited about the scrapbooking and it goes up a few octaves.

Hi Girls!
A little late to the NSD party today, but I spent all day yesterday at a crop at my LSS and got several pages done. Hope to do some more scrapping today. No more snow here, just rain and cold - so it's good day to stay inside.

Nancy - I'm so inspired by your style and especially with how you do your boy pages. Pages for my daughter come easily with all the pink and flowers, but boy pages are more of a challenge for me.

I just wanted to say HI to Wilna!

I heard on one of your videos recently that you live in Saskatchewan! I was born and raised there until I moved to BC a few years ago for school. Do you find that the prairie landscapes inspire your layouts? We have some awesome sunsets there!
I find the vibrant greens and ocean blues of coastal BC inspire me to take lots of photos to scrap!
Does anyone else find that they are inspired by what is just outside there door, or perhaps a different place?

Hope it warms up for you Wilna, back in SK!
