Wah.

They are finally dead. Dull...won't cut, dead. I've had them since my first CM party back in the 90's..and they have been my trusty go to scissors all these years.

Does anyone else have their original pair too?

Wah, I don't know why I'm bummed about this. It's not like I don't have about a dozen other pairs that work better!

I have mine! If fact, I might have more than one pair. If I do, one of them can come live with you, Vonnie.

Could you take yours to be sharpened?

Aww Margaret honey you are such a sweetie to offer! LOL Jill...yes they did! They've had a great life..sigh.

Actually ladies, yeah, after I posted it I did realize I probably could take them to get sharpened...lol, but I know deep down I'm probably never ever going to remember to do that. But I'm gonna try.

I just realized I don't want to scrap without them, lol!

I was a CM consultant for a short time in the early 90's. I recently found a brand new pair that I had stashed, still in the little plastic sleeve. I had 7 or so pairs left in inventory and most of them I gave to friends.

i feel your pain. i had a pair of small dissection scissors from college (never used for that purpose!) that were great for travel and cutting very detailed things. i got them taken away from me in taipei's airport security over a year ago and it still makes sad.

I still have mine too, and use them a lot! I even have the original little plastic sleeve, but I don't usually bother putting them away in the sleeve unless I'm going to a crop.

Sorry about your CM scissors, but I bet you can have them sharpened. Or, if you still know a CM consultant, maybe they can be replaced?

I have mine from the late 90's. I have three pairs. I have had my personal trimmers for a long time too. I gave the original one w/o the drawer to my daughter for her scrappy stash. I have two with the draw that I got when they first came out with that version. Love my CM tools.

I love those scissors. I have my original pair from years and years ago and right after I was given those at my first CM party I went to another party and was given another pair. That was the good old days when you attended a CM party and really was given a nice gift. Not so impressed anymore with CM but I wouldn't trade my scissors for anything. Sorry to hear about yours but sounds like a few nice ladies here are willing to play it forward. I know it won't be the same but most of the fellow scrappers on here are so giving.

Aww...RIP!!

I have 2-3 pair from 1998 when I first started scrapping. The only CM concultant in our area would have monthly crops in her home. The first few times, she would give everyone a pair of scissors. I love them, even though one paper won't even cut anymore! A few years ago I did buy 2 pair of the lavender ones on ebay, I am hoarding those!

Moment of silence.....

I still have mine from back in '98. They are my favorite scrapping scissors. I like them more than the cutterbee's, Tim Holtz & Kai scissors. Those other pairs are good for non-paper things, but always reach for the CM blue-handled ones for cutting paper.

Edited to add: I have not had to sharpen my blue ones, but I did have to sharpen another pair. I got a little tool in the sewing section that worked great. Worth a shot.

Well, I tried scrapping all day without them yesterday, it just wasn't the same.

So I'm going to take all of your suggestions and see if I can get them sharpened.

I love it that you all 'get' me on this one, lol. I mean, really where else in the world but here would I find kindred sisters who get the love of CM blue handled scissors?!
