I buy them when they are on sale. I don't scrap by collection but if I only bought single sheets, I would have nothing but big, bold, very bright patterns to work with. (well, I guess some vintagy stuff too) I kind of use collection packs to fill in those smaller, more neutral prints that I know I need but am just not that attracted to. And it's nice to have the alphas and stickers without having to buy them individually.

Hey! Where's my theme music?!?

Sometimes I do if they have alot in them I like. I buy the echo park collection packs the most. Love having the stickers and everything I need together.

It depends. If I REALLY love a collection, I will. But more often than not lately, I buy in individual pieces.

I will buy almost every full collection that EP, CP, and SC put out. But two of SC's recent lines I really have not loved, so only bought the parts I wanted

I used to buy the collection packs from OA until the changed the pricing making the collection packs more expensive than the separate pieces.

I don't buy collection packs anymore because I don't have a use for those big, bold, very bright patterns. LOL I use little bits on ATCs and art journals so I typically buy 6x6 these days.

I will of my favorite brands (Echo Park, October Afternoon, Crate Paper) especially if it's a line where I know I can use it for different kinds of page topics. It's amazing how different the layouts can look even though they're from the same lines when you switch up the color combinations. Plus, when they're double sided papers I always like at least one of the sides.

I'm with Dulcemama up there, If I went by what grabs me I'd never get the stuff I really need to work with. Also, it is good to get the stickers and alphas that coordinate without agonizing over each one.

I like to open up the bags and spread them out on my table and "pet" them.

Bonus points for stamps!

I do mostly because it's what's available around here. It's hard to find single sheets of some of my favorite designers around in the stores here. But I will say I only use the paper in them. I don't use alpha stickers much(more of a die cut title person) so those typically don't get used.

I typically don't buy collection packs because they usually have a few sheets that I like and too many that I don't like. However,Shimelle has opened my eyes to new possibilities,so I am going to investigate further.

Happy scrapping,

Almost all my papers are collection packs. Maybe because I bought them when I started to scrap and was to afraid to choose papers separately
But I like that they all coordinate and I can use most of the patterns.

If I love all the papers and main sticker sheet I will buy them, I do love that they match, but I love to mix up collections and brands too. I'm not a themed scrapper, so I love collections that are versatile.

i like packs with just the paper. i'm not a big fan of stickers so there have been some nice packs i've had to pass on because i don't have a need or want for the stickers.

more and more. I used to pick out my papers one by one, but since I started using the SG sketches for my 2 page LOs, I know I can use the papers. Plus, I have two boys so my papers can be stretched to two kids.

I use to only buy collections, but Shimelle now has given me more confidence in picking out my own papers. I haven't bought a collection pack since October of last year. I now find lines that I like and pick two or three papers from each one.

I only buy them if I really love all the papers. Of course I just bought the entire Yes, Please, Maggie Holmes, and SC's Atlantic collections.

I bought a few here because they were discounted quite a bit. Most of the time though I buy individual sheets and then all the embellies if I really like them. I am a sucker for the decorated brads, layer stickers, and label stickers

The only collection packs I buy are Echo Park and BasicGrey. Ever since Crate released a collection pack with one of the papers not included, I no longer trust them. I know, I'm a little crazy when it comes to my paper.

I like so many different lines that I tend to avoid collection packs so that I can have a little from most of the lines that appeal to me. I like to make things complicated!

I buy collection packs. If I like a particular line I like to have all of the papers to make it easy to match colors and embellishments. But I rarely end up using an entire collection pack so I try to buy them when they are on sale, or I'll buy a line once it is a few months old off of ebay.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I didn't buy Yes, Please, Lucky Charm, and Snippets because they look like the same colors. I felt like they all went together. I just bought the Pebbles Lakeside - every single thing because I have 1,000,001 at the Lake pictures and beach lines don't always work.

I get a couple of collection packs a year. I find that there are only a few that I really love. Over time, I have found it much easier to do a "fast" LO with a collection than it is to pull all of the individual supplies. However, most of the time I pick and choose individual papers. I'm finding there's usually only a few papers in each collection that I truly drool over.

I don't usually buy the packs unless I find them on clearance really cheap.

And it irratates the crap out of me when I get one that only has "some" of the papers in it... either put ALL of them in the COLLECTION or just sell them seperatly!!!

Can you tell that's a big pet peeve of mine?

In general I don't buy packs but every once in a while one strikes my fancy and I get it.

Yes, if I like most of what comes in them. I used to not scrap by manufacturer, but I have a lot less time to scrap these days and it's so much easier to grab a collection and work with it. I also find that sometimes it's a teeny bit less expensive, and they're so easy to store. Just put all the elements, including scraps, back in the plastic and stick it in my paper file.

I use to by collection packs because I liked all that was in there, but I found with the way I scrap I don't use all the items in the collection. I have found that I am better off buying little bits from collection. I like mixing colors and embellishments that fit my needs, especially since I rarely theme scrap.

Sometimes, but not nearly as often as I just buy the individual sheets. EP is the company I buy the most collections pack from. Most of them the reason I don't buy the collection packs is I don't like the sticker sheets, if I don't want that it can save a few dollars.

I buy the stacks for the paper. I don't scrap by collection. I will take them apart and put them in with all my other paper. I really like some of the papers they have in the stacks verses the single papers.

Happy scrapping

Rarely and only if on a mega sale - I don't do mini albums or themed albums (which I guess they would be great for) and get bored of a range quickly.

I rarely purchase collection packs because I really like to purchase what I know that I like. And most of the time unless I like the whole collection there are a few sheets that I purchase that are considered neutral that would work with the pp that I purchase.

I do buy collections that I look at online and I like every sheet in the set but that is not very often at all.

I tend to buy the 12x12 pads rather than the collection pack and then just add what embellies I want to go with, either from the same collection, or just things that I think will work together. I like the convenience of having all the papers together. Generally I by American Crafts, Pebbles and Studio Calico as their collections have variety within them, but will work across collections too.

I used to but I found I prefer to scrap by mixing papers from different collections. Now I only buy the package if I love every paper in it, and when I am making my annual beach mini album.

Generally, I do not purchase collection packs. As a simple, cardstock-intensive, story-focused, extensive journaling, & actual memorabilia type scrapper, I use patterned papers at a relatively slow rate. I usually buy single sheets of classic patterned papers, since they are versatile & can be spread across multiple layouts.

If I find one that I like then yes I will buy it. Especially if it comes with stickers, chipboard elements, etc. I love how fast and easy my pages come together when I'm using them. I also like that a lot of time the packs show examples of pages that are easy to recreate! But I'm also not afraid to buy papers, stickers, etc. individually to make my own look.

I love collection packs!! I makes scrapbooking so much easier to have coordinating patterns at hand. I know I would overlook some patterns if I were cherry-picking, and yet those very patterns are the ones I reach for in the paper pack to complete my layouts.

I tend to buy collection packs because if I don't the papers I missed are ones I end up wanting later. I hate it when the packs don't include some papers though - I am trying to be more careful about seeing what is on the cover.

For some lines I pick a few pages but I try to be conscious of the fact that I actually use smaller repeating patterns and that on my phone the thumbnails of big bold patterns (which rarely get used) are what draw my eye.

I use to buy collection quickly became too much since I like so many different lines. I've noticed that of the collection packs I still have, I hardly use them. I have a few that I use for cards, but for the most part I get sick of using the same old.
