with all of these new mid releases in the shop and other new goodies rolling in, I am finding it wayyy hard to choose what to actually buy! lol!
I want it ALL! sadly, my wallet would not like that!

do you gals have a hard time narrowing things down for your cart?
I usually try to buy a few things at a time...spacing my purchases out over the month.

what are your shopping strategies?

I love that 2Peas offers free shipping over $50 so I tend to place larger orders less often.

I have been scrapping so long that when new releases come out, I pretty much know exactly which pattern papers I'm going to purchase. Where I do have some trouble is with embellishments. I have to rein myself in sometimes because I do like to load up on the embellies.

I do sometimes, because I'm constantly adding to my wishlist, and everytime it gets closer to "time to buy" I'll often find new stuff or other products I hadn't seen before that I then want! I also worry if I don't buy the older stuff I want first then it might not be around when I finally get time, but then the new things can sell out... it gets quite complicated!

I don't have a strategy, I go with what I want most and what is likely to be harder to find if that's relevant. But there will always be more I want...

My only strategy is to only buy if I'm at $50 and get free shipping or if there is a discount coupon and I can make a smaller purchase (and the savings basically covers the cost of the shipping).

Tehee, yes, I think it is hard, too.
I have a shopping routine:
first round, I would put everything I like into my basket (or maybe on the wishlist), second round everything I do not really really really love gets deleted, third round I am sorting out the maybes and so on... until I am down to an acceptable amount of money.
The things I did not buy, will be moved to the wishlist.

maybe I will start just adding everything in and see where I end up!!
I think I have a tendency to not make selections right away then regret it later.

I dont have a set way of purchasing at 2peas. Some months there is nothing and other months I have an order every week.
Last week I ordered Shimelle's Best of Both Worlds, and I bought Crate Papers The Pier, 2 seperate orders. I forgot all about NSD and if you jump on Best of Both World's its GONE.
When I finally decide to make a purchase the cart has to get narrowed down to must haves and a lot of items get put onto wishlist.

I need a system! The only thing I do is make sure that I'm always over $50. Sometimes I ordered less than once a month ... sometimes it's 2-3 times in a month. I really need to get myself on some sort of plan!

YES! It's tough, especially when you can't see them in person. Sometimes I like something online but when I see it in person I'm not a fan (and vice versa).

I tend to just add everything to my cart and then spend a significant amount of time looking through, trying to narrow down my options to what I really want and think I will use. Ultimately I try to get it as close to $50 as I can (to get free shipping). Sometimes it's closer to $50 than others...

Inevitably I find something that I really want and didn't order and the cycle starts again. My orders are often timed depending on when new lines show up in the store.

I have certain companies that I almost always love,so when their new lines come out, I put it all in my cart. Many times the decision is made for me because it is sold out by the time I can purchase it (that happened on NSD) . I do not worry about it though because there is ALWAYS new stuff coming out!!! If there is something that I really want and it has sold out several times, I will make sure to purchase it once it is back in the store, but I always make sure my order is over $50 so that I get free shipping. I only found 2 peas a year ago and have spent way too much money!!!!

@janna - I am soooo like that as well. It usually takes me a few weeks to build my cart (sometimes it's much faster depending on the new releases). Then I add and subtract for days. I'm always afraid to hit that order button because I don't want to miss a discount or a new release or restocked item. LOL!! On Saturday I worked on my cart on and off for 5 hours until I finally hit the checkout button. Now the long wait for the package to arrive.

My system is similar to Janna's. I start off with a ton and then I keep getting rid of things bit by bit. I spend no more than 30 bucks a month and put together a kit of sorts. That way when I get my box I don't have a bunch of any one thing...I have patterned paper, alphas, embellies, and whatever else fits in the budget. I supplement with printables that I've already bought and just change up the colors to match my new stuff. My strategy is being really conscious of what I have and buying things that work well with my stash.

I'm in Canada and the shipping charges can get quite high (over $40.00 if there is too much weight). So to keep those shipping charges more reasonable I can not buy too much at once.

I do however maintain lots of different wish lists. As soon as I see something I like, it goes straight on the related wish list. Then I do what Janna does. I go through my lists and pick what I feel I need and put that in my bucket. Then I spend ages adding and removing items until I feel I can justify the cost. (I also keep checking the shipping charges and removing things until I get that down). I also keep my eye on my wish lists for sales. I know I miss out on things that way, but I get some great bargains (shopped bright and early on NSD).

I'm trying not to look!
I took a couple of weeks off of scrapping and in that time have received boxes from 2Peas and Scraptastic, so I have PLENTY of new supplies to keep me entertained for the foreseeable future!

I want it all, but I'm telling myself I should make a dent in my Winter release items first. Of course, I already caved and bought the Studio Calico Atlantic line.

It's so hard, isn't it? Unbearable, one might say. Right now I'm just not looking. It's so hard. I wish I liked fewer things, that my range of taste was narrower, but I like and want so much. Oh my, I just remembered that I challenged myself to not buy anything for a while. That went well...

I get paid once a month, so if I buy anything in a particular month, it's in one big purchase!
