Good morning Peas! I hope you are making it through this week and still being creative!

Today is Thursday so we are talking ALL ABOUT......SEASONS! Your challenge today is to create a project all about YOUR favorite season. Use it as inspiration, pulling colors, textures etc or actually scrap about the season. Anything goes as long as you can tie it back to your favorite season and why. Be inspired!

Chatter question:
How do you organize your stash? What works and what doesnt? What do you love about your system and what do you need some help on?

Oohhh...this one is gonna be harder for me. I'm going to have to think about this one! I hope I'll be able to scrap over the next few days but it's about to get crazy today! We have dance after school, 1st Communion rehearsal, tomorrow I'm at retreat all day with my DD8, and then Saturday is 1st Communion and a party after- after! Whew- I'm exhausted just writing this!! Lol-but I will check in and see what everyone is doing and leave some love!

Love your photo, I love spring and autumn equally, although I think I'd pick spring if I had to choose just one! Love the blossom on the trees, think that will be my starting point!

Good morning!

Great challenge. I'm getting behind so I'm not sure ill get to this one. Going to have to pick and choose for the next few I think.

My stash is pretty organized. I love my paper sorted alphabetically by manufacturer then alphabetically by line within. My thickers are all sorted by color. I have a clip it up stuffed and sorted by theme. Buttons, flowers and brads by color. But it's the journaling spots that need help these days. I posted in that thread about it. Not sure I can tackle a sorting an organizing project now though while trying to be super scrappy in May!

I kinda cheated yesterday...I made a one page, very simple layout about the wildlife at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix. I cut some quail diecuts with my Cameo, used thickers for the title and then for the very last word in the title (which I didn't have room for using the thickers) I used old EP letter stickers! They were flat! They technically "worked" for the challenge. But I just felt so lame! So I didn't post the layout.

I took some pictures of my new, blooming garden at Easter; maybe I'll work on those later today. Today is all about college softball in my house; the SEC (southeastern conference) is having a lot of tournament play so I will be watching that, off and on. In between I will try to get to the scraproom.

I recently started sorting all my patterned paper into kits, with matching embellishments and cardstock if available. I store them in 12x12 poly envelopes that I buy with a coupon at HL. These filled envelopes all fit in two legal sized file boxes (top off). When I want to scrap I simply look through the kits and pick one that fits my theme or idea. Now, when I buy new stuff I immediately store everything I purchased to work together in the envelopes and pull anything I already have in my stash that might work to add to the kit. I still have my "generic, will work on any layout" type of embellishments (buttons, brads, flowers) sorted by color and stored either in mason jars or tackle boxes. My paints/inks/ etc. are in drawer dividers in the top drawer of my desk. Clear stamps I have stored in an album specifically made for the purpose; the rare wood mounted stamp I own all fit in the bottom desk drawer. I have a basket for thickers and a small file box for journaling cards. Punches are stored together in a drawer or, if they are frequently used, on a multi-tiered fruit basket on my desk, along with all my most frequently used tools like adhesive, scissors, and pin cushion for needles.

Fall is probably my favorite season. I love the colors & the milder temperatures - it gets extremely hot here during the summer.

I had a problem uploading my Day 6 layout to the gallery, so here it is:

Homework Again?

Also, here's my layout for yesterday - Day 8. I did not follow the prompt - still working on NSD challenges:

Hello Hot Cocoa

Now, off to work on today's layout!

Taking a break from doing a little cleaning and thought I'd check in. I didn't answer today's chatter question. My storage is really a hot mess right now! lol- my mom and I share a craft room (we built a house together 5 years ago). There is space for scrapping and other crafting projects as well as sewing, all stuffed into this small space! My paper is stored in some cube storage and sorted by color for the cardstock but the patterned paper is a nightmare! I've got to find a better way to store it. I'm thinking by color, but then you've got those papers that are a million different colors so where do they go?!?!

Longer sticker packs hang on the side of the bookshelf on Command Hooks. Smaller stickers are stored in photo boxes by theme. All letter stickers/phrase stickers that are generic are stored together. All my brads, eyelets, etc are stored in tackle boxes. I keep adhesives in an old diaper wipe container and my pens are stored laying flat in a pencil box.

My Cricut sits out all the time and the few cartridges I have fit in one of the cubes of the paper storage, as do the cutting mats. My scraps are thrown in a drawer but it's hard to find what I need so I need to start storing it by color. I have a lot of work I need to do...my space is harder to work in than I thought before I started typing this!

Been getting behind, but hoping to find some time soon to get caught up. I am showing my house so everything has to be kept away and that makes it hard, but I am going to try to get the supplies needed to create for the month and put in my rolling tote and leave it in the kitchen.

My storage is a hot mess right now and usually it's clean, but still not functional enough for me. I store my paper by manufacture and older paper lines I store by color, specialty, etc. still a work in progress. Since I have to split my supplies up it's harder to use my supplies up and craft. Hoping to change all that soon.

I love fall so will be trying to create a fall layout, but since I am working my DDs album and I really need summer I might do that instead.

This challenge was fun! My favourite season is summer, so I used this as starting point for my colour combo and chose bright and fun colours that remind me of summers, just like road trips do - so I chose this as the topic for my layout Have a look

I had such good intentions when this challenge started last week. I completed days 1 & 2 and posted pictures of them. I worked 12-hour+ shifts Fri, Sat, and Sun nights so I knew I wouldn't do anything those days. What I forgot was that I was scheduled for another 8-hour shift Monday night and we had to take care of going to the credit union to sign loan papers and go pick up my husband's new car that day, so nothing done Monday. Tuesday I was just so cotton picking tired from having worked 52 hours in the previous 4 days that I did nothing. I was really excited Wednesday morning because my DH was working that night and I knew I'd have alone time for scrapping. After catching up on a little bit of desperately needed housework and running the errands that needed to be run I had no energy left to scrap.

I've got an 8-hour shift tonight and then I'm off for 3 days. I have my list of challenges here (from the Faux Load, 2 Peas NSD, and Shimelle) and I'm going to put some kits together with paper and pictures this afternoon before I lay down to sleep. My hope is to get something done over the weekend. I'll be satisfied with finishing 3 layouts, what I'd really like to finish is 5 or 6. I'm really liking the challenges here and am hoping to combine them with some of Shimelle's and 2 Peas NSD challenges.

Here's my page for the day: Winter in the Desert

While winter is not my favorite holiday, I journaled about how much more I enjoy it now that we've moved from the East coast to the desert SW.

Off to see what you guys have done!

I just finished my layout for today. My favorite season is Fall, so I created a layout for our travel album using an Autumn theme. Also submitted to NSD Challenge #7 (I used a sketch from Glitter Girl).

Yall are rocking it today! Good for you!

I sense some of you getting flustered PLEASE DON'T! Life happens and memories still need to be made, houses cleaned, work done, kids cared for etc etc. SOmetimes we just don't have it left in us and that is JUST FINE! Don't make it a chore!

sorfammom: you sound SUPER busy and I would say you definitely deserve a break this weekend, hope you get some time in.

I was not able to scrap today but that is ok I plan on making up for it tomorrow. Today was one of those days as a Mom that you just want to run away. So tonight I am going to bed early and reading. I will scrap this weekend, if I tried right now it would be horrible LOL! Anyone else like that, your mood dictates your finished product?

I know I'm a day late... but I finished my seasons page tonight and wanted to post it. I did this page of one of my favorite events of the fall season, apple picking. My girls love it too.

I used a Allison Davis sketch for this page.

Thanks for looking!

This challenge is hard for me. I don't really know what my favorite season is now that I have moved. In the midwest I loved summer and especially loved fall. But now that I live in a much warmer climate I love all the seasons (well except summer since it is so hot).

I'm going to add this challenge to my future challenge to be done list cause I can't figure this out.
