Hahaha they just don't get it he at least supports my habit though, he gave me a 2peas gift card for Mother's Day

My boyfriend thinks it is cute, he likes that I have this hobby even if he doesn't "get it" all the time. And he is actually learning who the GG are! The other day I handed him the baby and said I am going to watch Glitter Girl and he said "You and your Garden Girls!" I'm training him. I figure it is only fair since I've picked up some car and truck lingo since I've known him.

No. My husband can be more often heard saying "why don't you go make something?" or "why don't you go colour?" when he can see I'm frustrated or feeling ill.

While I'm not sure he enjoyed it he at least listened to several Paperclipping Roundtable episodes during a recent road trip across country. He was probably just glad for the break in driving (driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole) he didn't put in his own headphones or seem bothered by the choice of subject.

He's only observed my GG videos or scrap room tour videos with mild interest, but he'll nod to agree when I point out "look at this, I have WAY less stuff than this!" because, in general, I *really* do. I figure he needs to be reminded of how much worse it can get.

I always say buying a pkg of beautiful patterned paper is a lot cheaper than re-decorating the living room. Yet both feed my creative longings.

If there were referees and beer commercials worked into the videos, maybe they'd get it.

My husband totally gets it!! and for that I am eternally grateful. I have always had my stuff stored in shoeboxes and I came home from work about a month ago and the small wall in my living room had a bookshelf against it with my shoeboxes on it. Apparently while I was at work he decided that it was time that I had a "Scrap Station" (his words). Then he took me to Hobby Lobby and helped me pick out storage containers!! When I talk about scrapbooking he listens and nods at all the right places. When I flip through my inch of paper and complain that I have nothing that matches he will come sit with me and pick out papers for a layout.

I LOVE MY HUBBY!!!

I am dying laughing at this

My DH knows not to say a word about my stash. I suggested I could stop scrapping and crafting, then sit next to him on the couch and talk during every baseball, hockey, football and baseball game

@Tricia - it's pretty awesome! I've always wanted it ever since my librarian friend from AR told me about it - she worked in a book depository and would smell like paper <3

My DH gets it, and he likes that I do it. He enjoys looking through the albums as much as the kids and I do.

While he's never really said anything like, "are you sure you need more stuff," he has glanced over at my desk on occasion and ask if there was anything I wanted to put up on eBay.

Ummmmm.....no. I'm gonna use everything, I swear, some day.

My husband gets it too. He never complains about the stuff I buy and even built me a scrapbook room. Of course he has his own hobby that I keep my mouth shut about, so we are even. He even says it is a shame I have a great card maker and I have to buy my own cards (meaning for me). He enjoys seeing my work and always comments on how good he things it is (even if it isn't). Got to love him.

Mine doesn't get why I love to scrap but he gets that I love it, so that's all that matters. Plus, his obsession is with tools, guns and motorcycles and they are a lot more expensive than my scrappy stuff.

Mine gets it. He will go into the scrap store with me. Everyone once in awhile he does comment on a page. He has his things too... hunting, guns. He used to snowmobile in the winter and do the water cross racing in the summer. He wants a motorcycle now. It would save a ton of money on gas, as it is $4.30/gal right now and keeps going up.

My husband teases me for my love of paper-crafting and doesn't have a whole lot to say about it. He is glad I finally found something I can really relax and get into. He does get concerned wen I get all washy eyed about buying something new. Last night we had a pretty interesting conversation about purchasing a Cricut, but I won, and it should be here in a week or so.

Mine gets that it's my hobby. We have an understanding that as long as bills are paid and we are contributing to our nest egg, what we choose to do with the rest of our individual money is up to us. He has his own high dollar hobbies with his music and game collections. We just support each other; he goes into my stores, I go into his. We also agreed to never "sneak" items into the house or hide them in our cars. What we buy is what we buy and we bring them into our home freely.

I'm sure my SO thinks I'm nuts to love it as much as I do but he is supportive. He understands that we save EVERYTHING for the scrapbooks and that we don't wrinkle the handouts from my dd's well visits when the nurse hands them to Daddy. That sounded kinda crazy even to me

He was totally supportive of the fact that I wanted a Cameo and I bought myself one. And just this week he went and got me wireless internet for my house so I wouldn't have to take the baby out so often just to use the computer. One of my dear friends owns a coffee shop so I go visit and use the laptop and have some delicious coffee but it is SO much easier to have the baby at home with all her stuff.

He needs to be supportive though because he spends a LOT more on hunting, guns, fishing, etc than I will ever spend on my hobbies. And I take pictures of his stuff and scrap it for him too. He does love my work. I must be doing something right because he knows what a Cameo is.

He doesn't really give me a hard time since he appreciates the end product. I do get some eyerolling end grumbling when I bring home yet another bag from a scrappy store or get another package from 2Peas on the doorstep but that's moreso because of the money than because of the scrapping.

Eh, not really. My husband loves to fish and has just as much invested in baits and poles as I do in scrap products. Plus he has the boat! I think he understands my obesession with certain things that are boring to him because he knows I get just as bored with his fishing shows and 30+ minute conversations about some jig bait he wants.

My husband gets it. He doesn't complain when I buy more paper or supplies, although I do try to be reasonable with my scrappy shopping. He looks through our scrapbooks, too. I don't think he gets it when I watch videos, but he never makes fun.
He's a good guy.

One time I told him the different brand names of some of the paper, like "Basic Grey" and "My Minds Eye." He found the names somewhat fascinating, I think. But my point was that I could go on and on about the new papers in these lines, and he wouldn't care beyond wondering how they came up with the different brand/line names. Just like he goes and on about his hobby, which is collecting old vinyl records. So now he's more understanding when I just roll my eyes when he goes on and on about his favorite things.
