As always, I want to thank Sandy (colourful) for sending me her SOF 2008 Word document that showed me how to put together these master threads. I do keep changing the original document so if you see errors here, please let me know. If you want to thank someone for the organization, track down Sandy!

Welcome to World-Wide Stamping Week 2013!

This year, World-Wide Stamping Week will begin Saturday, June 8, and continue through Monday, June 17. That will give working Peas two full weekends to play. After that, Hangover Week Challenges will begin on Tuesday, June 18, and continue through Sunday, June 23, for those who just did not get enough during World-Wide Stamping Week (WSW13).

If you're new to our board, here are links to our previous events so you can get an idea of what to expect. Unfortunately, the links in the oldest threads are no longer operable, but you can still see the Master Threads and get ideas. They are a part of our history so I'm including them.

For a way to see some of those old threads, check out the third post on the How-To & Trouble-Shooting Thread.

DETAILS ABOUT HOW OUR EVENTS WORK

1. Opening Day is Saturday, June 8. On Thursday and Friday, June 6 and 7, hosts and hostesses will post their challenge discussion threads and blog posts giving the details for participating in their challenges. Even if the host has indicated a theme beforehand, be sure to check the challenge thread and blog for complete instructions. Don't start early! Wait for the last-minute directions. This Master Thread will have links to both the discussion threads AND blog posts.

2. Upload your work to the stamping gallery. If you are new to posting, see the How-To & Trouble-Shooting Thread for instructions.

3. Be sure to check the correct boxes under Member Challenges when you post. If you do this, your piece is automatically linked to the blog post.

4. Do not link to projects completed previously; we want to see your new creations!

5. A single project may apply to multiple challenges unless the host says otherwise in his/her instructions.

6. Throughout the week, keep an eye on the stamping board for chatty challenges (some with RAK's) that will appear during World-Wide Stamping Week 2013!

7. You can start uploading projects once Two Peas has the check boxes available in the Member Challenges section. Two Peas is located in the CT Zone so the check boxes will open and close according to that time zone. (When you post to the gallery, look for that link and see if World-Wide Stamping Week 2013 (WSW13) items are listed. If not, you're too early.)

8. Ask questions! If you aren't sure how to do something, check out the How-To & Trouble-Shooting Thread for information. That's where we put all the how-to stuff so you would not have to wade through it on your way to the list of challenges!

Click on the arrow to the right of the Reply button at the top right or bottom right of the thread; then select Watch this Thread to add it to your watch list. After that, you'll be able to access it quickly by clicking on My Watch List in the sidebar to the left of your screen.

**CHALLENGES**

Hosts and Hostesses: I will post your challenge here as I find out about them. Let me know if I should add or delete your name. If you have a theme in mind or supplies and tools people will need to participate in your challenge, let me know and I'll add them to this list. You can leave a message on this thread. Remember you don't have to offer a RAK in order to host a challenge.

Please post your Discussion Thread on the Thursday or Friday before Opening Day so I will have time to link it to the Master Thread. Please don't post your Discussion Threads early. People will see them, and it gets a bit tiresome clicking on Discussion Threads when the details won't be there until later in the week.

Please begin your Challenge Blog earlier in the week so that Jamie can link it to the badges; just don't put in any details until Thursday or Friday. To begin the Challenge Blog, all you need to input are the opening and closing dates on the calendar that pops up when you click on Challenge as the type of blog post. You can state that details will follow. No one is going to look at your blog until I put the link on the Master Thread, and I won't do that until Thursday or Friday.

I will link up your discussion threads and blogs under the Challenges (below) beginning on Thursday.

It's never too late to post a challenge. If you decide you'd like to post one for just a day or two or half-way through the week, go ahead and post it. Leave a message on this thread with a link if you can, and I'll add it to the list as soon as I see it.

Once you've begun your challenge blog, please Pea-mail
Jamie Sorenson and give her a link to your blog challenge so she can link the WSW13 badge to it. If you don't do this, participants in your challenge will not earn a badge. We need to give Jamie links to our challenge blogs before she leaves work on Friday (CDT) or they won't be linked to the badges until she gets back on Monday.

Daniel has a thread that I think you'll find interesting and informative: Hosting Challenges: Tips & Tricks

Participants: Be sure to check the Challenge Discussion Threads and Blogs for complete details on each challenge. Also, when you participate in a challenge, leave a message on the Challenge Discussion Thread with a link to your gallery post so that the challenge thread goes back to the top of the board. It's good to keep the challenge threads rotating on the board. Let's keep them on page 1!

Daniel has started a thread with tips for 1st-time participants: Advice for First-Time Party Goers

During Winterfest 2013, Christinmay followed up on the cell-phone vs badge problem with the Service Center. Matt let her know that if you upload to the gallery using the iPhone app, you will not earn badges, and your entry will not show up on the Challenge Blogs. If you'd like to do those two things, you'll need to upload from the website. I don't know if that has changed.

***I'm putting in the codes for posting the links beforehand. When the link is live, the words Discussion Thread and Blog Post will be in bold print.

Daria,
I will host a challenge called "A Bit Random". No special materials needed. FYI, I'll be traveling next week, but should be able to get my blog and discussion thread up on time. If not, I will let you know, and it will just start a couple days late.

I'm disappointed to say that I'm not going to be able to offer a challenge this time. I so love doing it, but just have too much on this month.

Jan, I thought about that after I'd written everything up and people began their blogs. I was afraid to ask them all to change the dates. What do you guys think? Shall we change the ending date to Monday. June 17? It won't effect the badges because those now run throughout Hangover Week.

I'll post this on the planning thread too. Let me know what you think. The first few people to respond will get their way because I don't want to drag this out. I'd rather change the dates right away if we are going to do it.

My vote: I think we should change the date since we all agreed to it last time, and it would save tons of aggravation if we have technical difficulties that last weekend when no one is around to help us.

We got some responses on the planning thread.

Four of us, including me, agreed we should change the date so I did it. If you don't want to change yours, you don't have to, but it's easy.

I just changed my blog. It took about two seconds. Just click on edit, click on the ending date, and the calendar pops up. Click on Monday, 17, and it's done. Then I changed to date on my blog since I had already input the dates that the challenge is open. Remember you have to do that since the dates on the calendar just tell Two Peas when to open and close your challenge; those dates don't show up on your blog.

I don't have a discussion thread yet, but if you do, naturally, you'll have to change the date there too.

Hopefully, I won't forget to do this correctly next time around.

Change of this party's date doesn't affect my challenge & I agree that it doesn't want to be a huge discussion.

That said, I voted "No" for future partys on your discussion thread, Daria.

Daniel, actually we discussed and voted on this at the end of Winterfest 2013. So it's a done deal. I just forgot to put it into practice. Ending on a Monday instead of a Sunday was to make things easier for hosts and participants in case of a repeat of the technical problems we have experienced in the past couple of events. This request for feedback was just to see if anyone minded my fixing my mistake.

No one has to change their date if they don't want to. Also, no matter what dates we decide upon, any individual host can host a challenge that falls within the outer limits of the time frame--from a one-hour Drive-by to a challenge lasting a few days to a challenge lasting the full time or even, as you are doing, have their challenge run from Opening Day to the end of Hangover Week.

It's all good.

Thanks, Anna-Karen.

I'm at a friend's house, and she has an Apple computer. There's something wrong with it; it doesn't have an address line. The only way she can get to a site is to google it. That means I can't copy and paste addresses. I'll link up the new blogs and discussion threads when I get home.

Daria

ETA: I found it! I knew I could find missing toolbars on my PC, and it worked the same way on the Apple. After I brought it up for her, she looked at it and asked, "What do I need that for?" Sigh.

Thank you to all of you.

Heidi, I love the sketch!

Michele, Monday's fine. It will give us something to look forward to. Thank you for checking in with us.

Neysa, I saw your challenge. I'm glad you made it to the party! Flowers will be a popular challenge theme.

Heidi, thanks for the update on Christin's 24-Hour Drive-By. Hey guys, it's stamping on metal (Do you have any soda cans lying around? Beer cans?). You don't even have to make a project out of it. Easy!

I've updated the Master Thread with all these goodies.

Enjoy.

It's Friday, and we're going into the final weekend. Double-check the ending dates of the challenges you're interested in completing. Some end on Sunday, and some end on Monday.

Tuesday begins Hangover Week.

Don't forget to check out the games!

Today is the last day for WSW13! Are you going to be able to finish more challenges? one more?

No? That's OK. Hangover Week begins tomorrow.

This has been a wonderful stamping celebration with lots of good challenges and participation. Thank you to everyone who participated.

Now it's time for Hangover Week!
There are two new challenges and one old one open now. Check the original post for links.

The fun goes on.
