Happy MONDAY Peas...the boards are back up--weekends seem to be wonky around here on a regular basis. Guess when we are all able to visit the boards can't handle the influx and go down...not exactly convenient.

Went to a professional Ultimate Frisbee game (last of the season) yesterday. It was a great game to watch, very action packed.

Spent the rest of the day sleeping..RA acting up--dang it. I think our flipflopping weather is doing me in (sunny one day and hot, raining and cold the next). My body doesn't like the constant changing.

So here's to the weather stablizing.

Not much planned for this week yet...how about you?

I'd like to introduce myself....I'm Nylene.

I know you thought I'd gone AWOL, but I am back! When I finally had time on Sat. to sit and read and post and scrap, the site was down. I was so sad.

Angie and family have gone home and I'm having grandchild withdrawal. I was loving having them all around underfoot for 2 weeks. We did have the stomach bug go thru the family and touch every family. Anj's DS didn't get it til he got home.

DH and I took 10 Cubs to Day Camp last week and we have a field trip to a Paleontology Museum tomorrow. Seems like there's always plenty to do!

Cindy, so sorry about your loss. Hugs to you and your co-workers. Do you have the kids every day this summer? Is Bob around, or is he at the Farm?

Jana, the grands came in shouting that they saw a snake and when I went out, they wanted to practically take apart the house to get to him. Angie's 3 year old was so excited. He was apprehensive, but wanted the snake to come out again. The neighbors behind us have irrigation turns and that brings water snakes into our yard. The neighbor boys dig through our woodpile next to the irrigation ditch to catch them.
So sorry to have missed your B-day. Hope you had a great day!

Maribeth, I love looking at your buildings and churches. If you post them on 2peas, at least check the box that sends them to our Pokey Pea challenge. Even if you don't want to add a link to the thread, we can find them easily if we want. You have really been on a roll. Keep up the good work.

Kelly, I had to laugh at your comment about the smell at the Horse riding place! I'm anxious to see what you are working on next. I haven't checked out your blog, but will do that sometime today.

Amy, I'm loving your layouts. I haven't caught them all yet, but I'll go back today and see them all.

Jen, so glad you are vacationing with your family. Hope each day brings more healing and energy.

Debi, sounds like you had a great end of the year. Do you keep your same visitation schedule for the summer, or do they spend longer periods with their dad?

Anne, how are you? Are you busy biking all over your area? Drop us a note.

Pam, your little Ruby Jo is so smart!!! I-padding at age 9 months. That's pretty cool. I've really enjoyed baby Alex over the last 2 weeks. He's getting so big and so full of personality. How's Sly doing? Does he bother your fish in the pond?

I need to get something done today, so I need to quit. Sending hugs to all who need them (don't we all?) and smiles to all. I should be here a little more often again now. I even have a page to scan and post.

Here's my most recent page about our DGD's Seminary and High School Graduation. I'm hoping to get some more scrapping done this week. Last week we made lots of Paper Dolls and kept my Cricut hopping!

NYLENE our visitation schedule stays pretty much the same; alternate weekends, every Tuesday evening for 2 1/2 hours, with the addition that both of us can take a 2 week vacation with the kids (min 7 days units-so either 7 days or 14 days). I've never taken one, but this year I chose to, so I have the kids the last 2 weeks of summer. Their dad took 2 separate weeks one in July, one in August but because he chose weeks that included my normal weekends instead of his, we had to juggle weekends and now we're on a 2 weekends on, 2 weekends off schedule July through September.

My ex has really tested my patience this last few weeks, and now has created a $5000 expense to each of us that was totally preventable but through negligence on his part to actually do what he said he had done, it's going to cost us. I'm very upset as I don't have that kind of money. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. No need to go into details, but he can cover this kind of unexpected expense, I can't.

Trying to figure out ways to detach from my ex's actions, but when it impacts me financially, it is hard to ignore.

I think I'll go work on deciphering KANJI for awhile. Getting into my head can help me get out of my feelings; sometimes that's a good thing.

Good Tuesday morning ladies, make it a great one.

Debi - sorry to hear of the problems with the ex. But you seem to handle it very well, something to be proud of. I respect people who make every attempt to keep the kids' life as stable as possible after a divorce, and it appears you are really doing that well.

I hope everyone has a great day. See you later.

Thanks Maribeth for the encouragement. I never thought co-parenting with my ex would be this difficult. it's a struggle to advocate for the kids and not be completely stressed out. He and his newest wife definitely are well-versed at hitting my buttons...

no new photos so haven't felt much like scrapping. That's not good, is it?

Took kids up to GameStop to buy a couple used games (one they have at their dad's but of course he won't let them have it here even on loan, even though Owen bought it with gift money. In ex's mind, the money came from his side of the family therefore anything purchased with it must stay at his house, even if it doesn't get used there because the kids aren't there that much. crazy logic, IMO, but that's what I deal with on a day-to-day basis.) Fortunately the game was significantly reduced as it's an old game and the boys used a gift card to buy it so nothing directly out of my pocket this time...yay! So hopefully having two new-to-them games will add some variety for them. The 3 main friends who they game with online are gone most of the summer (one is in Puerto Rico on an exchange student trip, two are out-of-town visiting relatives and doing trips most of the summer, so they are feeling a bit deserted at the moment. Hoping our friends that visit each summer for a month show up soon so they have playmates. They ususally come stay with their aunt for July but I haven't heard from her yet. Otherwise it may be a long summer...I did sign them up for 2 more 1 week frisbee camps which they weren't sure they wanted to do, but my guess, if they are bored enough, they will appreciate having a planned activity.

Going up to visit mom while boys are at their dad's tonight. Mom called, saying her friend that usually takes her to town on Tuesdays is sick-actually his health is declining terribly and that she is out of bananas! LOL my mom eats a banana every day with breakfast and usually she buys each week's worth on Tuesday...so she called to ask if I could come by and get her some bananas...it's only a 2 hr round trip...LOL It will get me out of the house though so it's all good and I can make sure she has other groceries she might need; she doesn't drive.

that's it for me for now. Hope everyone's summer is going well.

Here are the pages I finished today. Quick and easy! I told Cindy I'd love to have a cut file of her cute arrow, and within an hour she had made and sent me one. Wow! What a sweetheart you are, Cindy.

Snuggle Time with Grandpa

Maribeth, I love the files you have made like the bike and the curvy tree. I need to do that more often. I have just learned how to auto-trace to do that, but I'm slow at it and have to follow my DD's instructions that I wrote down as she taught me. I'm going to get braver! Did you do that same thing with the keys, church, etc. you use on your travel pages? Thanks for answering my peamail.

Debi, you are so kind to take such good care of your mother, even though she lives so far away. It's too bad she isn't closer so it would be easier. Enjoy your time with her tonight.

Angie, I cut your files today, but probably need to FaceTime with you because I have a couple of questions. We had a wonderful guide today at the Paleontology Museum. Wish your kids had been here to enjoy it too.

Off to get some things done!

Nylene you are more then welcome for the arrows. Anyone else want them I would be glad to share them with all of you! NO charge! We are having our second round of severe thunderstorms. It was 96 here today and the first set of storms dropped the temperature to 75. But a lot of folks have lost power. High winds and hail come along too.

Here's a layout I did of Maggie. I am going to get off of here till the storm passes.

Love Your Smile

We are restocked in bananas! LOL had a nice time hanging with mom, even though the weather took a turn for the worse and ended up having thunder and rain, making it less than fun to drive in. Oh well, home safe and sound now.

Not doing much at the moment, maybe I'll work on a scrapping challenge from another site.

See you all tomorrow.

Hiya everybody. Do you remember me vaguely? Long time!
I've settled in now having moved 6 months ago. Almost on summer holidays - my husband's a teacher. My baby is now a running, climbing, nearly 16month old toddler!! So those are my reasons for being extra extra pokey! I uploaded my first page in ages yesterday. It's a baby page. I'll do a newer photo soon so you can see how she's grown. I have so much paper to use up xxx

Hi Jessierr! Welcome back!

How are all you Pokeys doing? I can't believe June is almost over...

We enjoyed vacation and I got the laundry all caught up. Now to download photos from the camera....

Tonight I lead my scrap group at the library. I think I may actually be prepared this month.

I am feeling stronger all the time. My energy level is back up and it's nice to feel like I can make it through a whole day without collapsing into bed at 7 p.m. Thank you all for your good wishes duting my surgery and recovery!

Happy Hump Day!

Good morning fellow Pokeys!

Jessierr - Hello, I am new since you were gone. Nice to meet you. Lovely page. I hope to see many more.

Jen - Glad you are feeling better. Good to recover slow and as needed instead of rushing it. Hubby is a terrible rusher when it comes to recovery and it always leads to additional problems.

Well I got up and walked the dog this AM, and hoping to keep a good attitude for work. It has slipped a bit this week from last, but still trying to keep positive on the entire situation. Enjoying Wimbeldon, however so many injuries and stunning upsets already and it is only day three.

Have a wonderful day.

Welcome Jessier...jump back in, always room for another scrapper here. I came after you left, so will have to get to know you going forward. I'm one of the resident digi scrappers, single mom to twin 14 year old boys. That first year with new baby can keep you pretty busy. Congrats on becoming a mommy.

JEN I'm so glad your strength is making a comeback. It's so hard to be patient and wait to get better. We all are so used to go-go-going all the time. Probably better for all of us if we just learned to slow down and enjoy life...easy to say, hard to do...isn't it?

Summer is making me feel lazy...need to make a project list and stick to it or nothing will get accomplished here.

Here's a LO I finished this a.m.

Diploma

and I did one telling the crazy story of my ex and newest wife and their strings attached giving but probably shouldn't post it...felt good to write it out though. LOL they can make me feel so crazy sometimes.

have a great day

Jessie, it's so nice to see you! I can't believe your tiny baby is now 16 months old. She must be keeping you busy. How was the move? I have added a link to your layout so other Pokeys can find it.

Debi, I'm out of bananas, could you run get me a bunch? We are only a couple of states apart. You are so kind to your mom. Glad you had a good visit.

Jen, glad you are feeling better. Just getting the laundry done with a family is a major accomplishment! Keep healing.

I'd be happy to NYLENE...sending happy thoughts of bananas your way....LOL

I don't think my mom fully gets that a 2 hr round trip drive to make sure she has bananas is a bit out of the norm...she has her routines and can get unsettled when they are disrupted (like her friend not being able to take her town and her being out of bananas); she just knows if she calls, I'll come. After all she's been there for me all my life, I certainly can return the kindness. Besides it got me out of the house while the kids were at their dad's.

Not sure what I did with the day...did a couple LOs and frittered a lot of time on FB catching up with old posts. I forget to go there so it takes a long time to catch up.

Now we're all settling in for the night.

Good Morning Peas

Well I took a huge plunge yesterday and posted on the General Scrappin board and the General Photography board a request for Courthouse Photos from Peas across the country. It is not reasonable to think I will ever get to many of these places, it is my dream to, however it is not reasonable that I will. So after a lot of thinking, I decided that my project does not have to consist of only first hand photos, it could also consist of photos which are generously taken by other who have opened up their heart to help me with this project. I will give photo credit, and blurb on how I met the photographer (ie, through Two Peas, family, frieds, etc). I would like to post on my FB page, but still not brave enough to do that yet. I have gotten some wonderful responses from the Peas here, and I am sure looking forward to getting these photos.

Debi - you are a lovely daughter, and I understand how you feel about reciprocating all the love and devotion she gave to you, and now is the time you can give that back. I lost my mom, but I remember feeling just that way in the years prior to her passing. I just wish I had had a longer time to cater to her as she did for me.

What about all those early round losses and departures for the top players at Wimbledon yesterday?

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hello, Pokeys! Just a quick check-in before I leave to run a bunch of errands.

Maribeth, I have a photo of the Cassia County courthouse in Idaho. Will you peamail me the address of where to send it. Thanks. What a great project you have undertaken. I think I have one of the old historic Utah County Courthouse too. If not, I'll get one next time I run to Provo.
Did you find the name of that single-line font?

I spent last night cutting out fins and nose cones on my cricut for my DD's Cub Scout Pack. My little machine gets a good workout at my house.
I'd die without it! I hate to be so dependent on it, but I really am for scrapping, Card Club, and Cub Scouts....and of course Paper Dolls for the granddaughters.

I'm off and running. Be back later.

Good evening ladies,

Do you know how hard it is to do business without a working phone line? A nearby construction project wiped out the phone lines, and we were almost at a standstill at the office, no internet of phone (which includes fax). Everything we do pertaining to dealing with our customers is either through email or fax. We forwarded the actual calls to a cell phone, so we could receive calls in, but we couldn't respond to the majority of them because most of our calls is requests for information which needs to be emailed or faxed. Made for a very long day. Since I live just across the field from where I work, my home was also out of internet and phone. Just came back up about an hour ago. I am a happy camper.

Nylene - Great, thanks for the offer of the photos. I am excited about this project. I wanted to take them all myself, but that is totally not possible, so I decided this would work for fulfilling my need to get as many as I can. Thanks.

Good morning ladies

Happy Friday. Birthday weekend for me. That means I get to scrap and scrap and scrap and well scrap.

I have already gotten four photos for my Courthouse Projects from the wonderful ladies here on the Two Peas board. I can't wait to get started on the pages they will be awaiting the prints once I get a batch of photos to upload to the printer. I am also planning to resurrect my website so I can showcase all the pages in one place and people who are participating can follow along.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Friday, and an outstanding weekend.

Ruthie, it's so nice to see you. I hope you begin to feel better soon.
How's your baby?

Maribeth, where do you want the photos sent? You can peamail me with the address. I am going to Idaho next weekend, so if the courthouse photo was taken before I had a digital camera, I'll drive by and get another.

Happy, Happy Birthday to Maribeth this weekend! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and scrap, scrap, scrap!!

Have a great weekend, everyone, if I don't get back to this thread until the first of the week.

Hey girls!!!! Happy Friday and hope it has been well for you. I have had a slow week but did get some crafts done. A little drawing, painting and even made a card for my mom's bday. I didn't get to take pics of it but it was pretty in yellows and whites. I hope I can get a pic of it later but I know it made her happy.

Jessie and Ruthie- Great to see you again.

Debi- Your layout about the little girl in you was so inspirational. I am learning to let my inner little girl dance and play, too.

Cindy- Should I put my smoothie order in now? I do love them and have made a few lately. I love mango and banana ones. Yummy! I know this will be another fun Summer with the grands!

Nylene- I was smiling when you talked about the horse smells from my blog post. Maybe next time my nose will be less sensitive to the stink! LOL!

Maribeth- Happy Birthday to ya!!!! I hope you have a great time celebrating and scrapping!!!!

Waving to everyone else. Enjoy your day!

Good morning Ladies

Thank you Kelly, Jen and Nylene for my weekend birthday wishes.

Well I am off to take a couple photos of my County Courthouse's. Mine are not very pretty, but I want to add every Courthouse to my project no matter what they look like.

Talk to you later.

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone.

Maribeth.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIBETH!!!!
I hope your day is as special as you are!!!!

Good Saturday morning girls! Hope you are all doing well and having a great start to your weekend! Not sure what I am doing this weekend-today is going to be to rest up after watching the grands! I also hope it does not rain today-I think we have had rain and storms everyday this week.

Kelly-you can order any flavor smoothie you like-but that one you make sounds really good to me!

Nylene-hope you have a great weekend. Try to take it easy as you are always so busy during the week!

Jenn-sounds like you are feeling much better! Just don't overdue!

Waving a big hello to everyone not mentioned! Here's a digi page I did last night for a challenge on another site.

You Make Me Smile

BBL!

Hugs, Cindy

Hello all of my friendsI

Well here I am sliding in at the end of the month.... where did it go?

Looks like all is mostly well here in pokey-ville,excepting for a couple illnesses and aches... hope you all feel better and get on with summer!!

Of course, I have been super busy... doing stuff, although I never get done... what is that all about? We have been having lots of rain and that brings a lot of challenges in keeping up in the gardens... I do the best that I can and will be glad when we have a couple of sunny days.

Nylene,I am sorry to say that my Sylvester has been away for several months. I had this feeling that he may be gone forever about March or April that I couldn't shake... I hope he is healthy and happy and he can return whenever he wants. He was a lot of fun and I do miss him,but I understand the nature of cats so I am ok with it.

I am still not scrapping,it's just not happening right now,I will return when the mood strikes me. This is the longest dry spell that I have had since I started many years ago..... I know it is still there, lol.

Bff lunch was last Friday and we had a grand time. Food, laughs and time spent together... it was such a treat to have them all here.

Well, hugs to all and sorry that I have been so not there for a few months, but I still think about all of you. Soon Come Pam

Good morning, posted here because I did not see the July thread up yet.

Hope you all have a wonderful week. Anyone have any interesting plans for the 4th? We just like to stay home.

Thought I would share a link to my website for my County Courthouse Project. I was able to complete uploading all of the pages I have for New Mexico.

I'm sorry I was slow getting the July thread posted this a.m.
Looks like there are some great layouts posted over the weekend. I'll go back and view them when I get the new thread up.

THIS THREAD IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED. THE NEW THREAD FOR JULY CAN BE FOUND HERE.
