Tuesday - Justed wanted to say that I loved the entries to my challenge and am sorry that i didn't post comments or do any challenge

I have been bothered this month and part of last month with frustrating health issues, one doctor appointment down and one to go today. I had had three falls recently and had to check with orthopedist to see if I had damaged my total knee and to check on some other pains in good knee. Then I have suffered from fibromyalgia and arthritis for a number of years and the fibro has been in a major flare (forgetfulness, flustration, irrability, pain, fatique, etc). Have also been under a lot of stress again this year with family health problems.See my family doctor today to see what I can do. I don't want to take the fibromyalgia medication due to the long, long list of side effects.

I am going to keep trying to get on top of it with essential oils, healing stones and more positive attitude.

I have so missed my stress reliever of making cards, but but that has been difficult to do. I'll Be Back!!!!

Sorry to hear you're having the health probs, Ann. Hope you improve & we'll be here when you get 'back'.

Warm, but nice today. Slight chance of showers. That probably means we may actually get some.

Once I finish my current piece of WSW13 stuff, I'm gonna call it good. I want to work on both my July tag & medal (not necessarily metal) for those swaps.

Got scans of my mag-submit cards. Gonna upload them to my gallery. Got to see everyone else's cards & they are terrific. Along with me, two of our fellow StamPeas submitted for this group. I won't 'out' them, but their cards are soooo neat!

Best get on with today so seeya later!

Happy Tuesday! Today we have already had several thunderstorms roll through. We are working through our lists. Last night we went to the pool and that was fun, although the water was cold so I didn't really swim. It also wasn't very crowded so that was a plus. I did the grocery shopping last night too. I remembered my coupons and that helped a lot.

Ann, my mom has a similar list of diagnoses as you so I can kindof understand how you have been feeling. My mom does take several meds, not sure if she has noticed any side effects from the one for fibromyalgia. I hope you get these worked out with your doctor. And of course, I hope you are able to carve out some time to do some cards!

Daniel, I also will be working on my medal soon. I first will pick out some stamps.

Hope you all have a good day!

Good morning! I think today I am going to work on an ATC for Anne's challenge. It is something I don't often try.

We have sunny weather today. I am making chicken and rice for dinner, and we probably will do a family trip to costco this evening.

Hope all the Stampeas are doing well!

Unlike you & Beady, we got nada rain yesterday, Heidi. Today is lovely--not too hot & looks like a cool night (good for sleeping).

I just finished spending several hours crafting. It was fun! I finished my July tag & getting ready to start on my medal. God willing & the creeks don't rise, I should have it done in plenty of time.

It's been a pretty mellow party & HOW is looking ok, too.

Hope y'all are having a terrific today!

Afternoon all! Nice day here today. Temps are high but humidity is tolerable.

Ann, so sorry to hear about your health problems. I hope you get well soon and back to crafting. They say crafting is cheaper than therapy, not sure about the cheaper part but its a lot more fun!

We're having leftover chicken phillies for dinner.

I didn't feel well yesterday so no cleaning it done. I need to do some this week before we go out of town. I did get some of my crafting stuff put away.

I need to get working on my July tags. I also want to get a start on my medal and do some of the hangover challenges.

Hope everyone's having a good day!

I am so tired this morning .

Long story short, our subdivision is a mix of new construction and older homes. We've lived here for 7 years and up until last year there were open lots around us. Last year they started building more homes and a couple months ago someone bought the house built behind us. They built a fence that backs up to ours and they have a dog. They also have a doggie door. For some reason they decided to put a dog pen in the back and their dog has barked all day and all night long. I don't think they're home and that dog is driving me bananas! We have 2 dogs, they stay inside but have access to a doggie door. We close it at night and if she gets barking a lot during the day we make her come in. It's so annoying! Sorry for ranting, I'm just aggravated at having to hear that dog yipe for the past 24 hours.

Daniel, I liked the valentines in your gallery. I noticed they were all 3x3s. Was that a requirement? I like that size and they're fun to make.

I've said this before but I really want to start making different folds of cards. I made a list last night of ones I want to do soon. Does anyone else make crafty to do lists? Or is it just me

I didn't get a chance to craft yesterday but hope to today. I've got a big to do list of things that must get done today before I can play. Hope everyone had a better night than I did! I may chat back later if I get a chance.

LeighAnn, I have a crafty to do list too. I often use it between fests to remind me what I wanted to try and then what challenge or swap I am involved in. Sorry you slept so poorly, that would be really annoying.

Daniel, I found your Valentines too. I liked the small size.

It looks like it is going to be another nice day. I haven't made myself a list of to do yet for today.

Happy Thursday All!

Pug. You have my sympathy on the barking dog matter. Have you met these neighbors? If not. You might want to make the effort to stop by for a visit & introduce yourself as their 'backyard' neighbor. You can take a 'welcome to the neighborhood gift' for the owners & their doggie. Might be a good way to handle the matter?

Folds? I tend to go in spurts. If a particular fold gets my attention via a challenge, I'm more apt to use it depending on how difficult its learning curve is and how much it's stamp-related. Cards per se are not my biggest interest.

Weather here is very comfortable today. Looks to be a warming trend, but not a heatwave.

Food front. We're doing 'order out' for supper today. Mom wants stuffed shells (with meatballs) & a side salad. Not sure what I want, but gonna order in a bit so it's here in time for mom to munch--with her beloved cup of hot tea! She's doing well on the breathing since starting with the nitro patches.

Need to get offline so I can order our food & get some crafty stuff started.

Hope y'all have a terrific today!

Morning Everbody.

Warming up here, but looks like forum traffic is cooling down.

Have to get my July tag & some bills in the mail today. Also need to do laundry. Not sure how much crafting will get done today, but I'm in good shape on my 'musts'.

Pug. To answer your question about my valentines? Yes. The size (3" was a requirement. And--as I may have shared--they had to be 'fold cards'.

Hope y'all have a terrific today & will catchya later!

Morning everyone. Much better night, no yapping dog!
Daniel, that's a good suggestion! I think they may work nights or travel a lot because we've only seen them a couple of times. I haven't heard the dog since yesterday so we'll see if it happens again.I'm definitely going to talk to them about it if it does.

I've got more housework I'm still catching up on. I haven't been feeling well lately so I've been slow moving on it!

Last night I worked on a couple cards, I'm hoping to get them uploaded to the gallery since one is for Heidi's photo challenge.

I've also got to pack and run a couple errands before we go out of town.

Dinner tonight is going to be Chinese! I've been craving some spring rolls and orange chicken. DH isn't a fan but he's working late so it's a good opportunity to have it.

I'm currently baking my prismacolor pencils.
I've only had them for a little over a year and the lead continuously breaks on them. After doing some research online, I'm going to see if this fixes the problem. I hope so, I really like working with them.

That's all for now, I'm off to eat some lunch. Have a good one!

LeighAnn, I hope your oven trick works for the pencils. That must be irritating! Glad you got some sleep.

Daniel, how was your takeout?

Last night we had leftovers (again!) I think I am going to grill chicken tonight, but not sure of the sides.

I need to make a couple masculine birthday cards. I was hoping to do some hangover challenges with this, but nothing is coming to me yet. Hopefully soon!

Mmmmm. Baked pencils. Sounds delish! Do you sprinkle them with coarse salt & serve them warm. Pug?

Sorry you're not feeling well, pal. Hope you enjoy your Chinese 'night'.

I got the laundry washed & hung. Should dry quickly on the line. Also made out my bills & got the July tag out for pick up. If I missed the mail carrier, they'll go out tomorrow--no prob.

Got a start on my medal, but will share about that on our thread.

Today is the summer solstice (northern hemisphere). Oh to be on Salisbury plain & celebrate @ Stonehenge with all the druids!

BTW? There's going to be a 'super moon' on sunday. Luna is closer to the Earth & will appear 12% larger. I may just go 'dancing in the moonlight'.

Mom wants pancakes for supper. Sounds good. Don't have to do them super early since mom had a bit of my Italian hoagie leftover from last nite's delivery.

Have some checking & possible posting to do before I get back to working on stuff.

Morning Happy Stampers!

Warming up here. Not too bad yet. Gotta make a grocery run today & pick up a med for mom. Mom's asked for swiss steak for sunday dinner. No prob, but gonna make a very small amount. Don't want lots of leftovers since next week is looking hot & humid for us.

Looks like the party is definitely winding down. 'Sok. It was pretty good. I've had enuf fun, tho'.

How wags your world today?

Late morning all!

We're traveling today and sitting still in traffic right now at least i can be entertained here while on the road.
Luckily DS is being entertained by crayons and coloring books while DH is listening to some podcasts. I hate being stuck in traffic!

I've been so scatter brained lately and didn't get my Chinese food yesterday
I went to go order it and planned to run a quick errand and left the house without my wallet. I was so aggravated with myself. It was too far to drive back and forth so I made breakfast instead for dinner. I'm meeting a friend for dinner Tuesday night so that's what we'll be having then!

Daniel! My kitchen smelled like a pencil factory yesterday!
I lined my baking sheet with several sheets of wax paper, good thing because some of the pencils bled a bit. I didn't have much time to play with them yesterday but I sharpened a couple and no breakage and the lead seemed sturdier. I will report back later next week on this if anyone's interested on how they're working out.

Yep, party week is definitely winding down. It was fun and I enjoyed participating in the challenges.

Now I need to buckle down on my tags and medal swaps! Ugh! I just remembered I need to do a blog for Julys tag too.

Heidi, how's it going now the kids are out of school? Your sons cards are so good that you've submitted! Does e enjoy stamping?

It's a hot one today, stay cool everyone!

Yay that 2p's is back up. For them to have fixed it on the weekend, I imagine the store part was also broken yesterday. I haven't had my coffee yet (it is brewing) so I will be back later...

Morning All!

Yeah. Glad the board's back on. I was starting to have withdrawal symptoms.

Getting very warm already & next several days look to be very H&H. I put together the Swiss Steak & simmered it. Just turned it off & will check for seasoning & see if the 'gravy' needs a touch of thickening when I warm it for dinner in about an hour. Gonna serve it with mashed taters & baby limas.

LOL, Pug! Doncha hate it when stuff like that happens?

Heidi. Enjoy your coffee & we'll catch up later.

Kathy. What movie are you gonna see?

While the site was down I got some crafty stuff accomplished. I worked on an element for my medal & did a mini card to add to my components card. I'll post about it on that thread.

Y'all stay cool or warm as the case may be.

HI Again!

LeighAnn, I'm not sure if my son is interested in arts and crafts or he is just doing it because I do. Time will tell. He is interested in everything so far. I try really hard not to sway kids' interests in any certain direction. I see others do this and it sometimes goes quite awry.

Summer is going well. In the middle of the summer, both kids will have programs off and on, so we will have both lazy days and busier days. I think it works well that way for my family.

Daniel, your steak sounds good. We are having tacos tonight. They are ready except I need to cut a bit of lettuce from the garden. No one seems hungry yet anyhow.

The one thing about the chat going more than one page is I can't go back and read while I'm posting to remember what I was going to reply to! lol.

There are a lot of family birthdays coming up, so I need to go through and pick out cards. I think that the summer birthday people get very nice cards because of the inspiration of WSW.

Yes, it is hotter now too. That is okay. We have a/c and we have had really reasonable weather the last couple weeks.

Have a nice Sunday evening!

Morning All!

Looks to be H&H next couple of days here in the NE. 'Sok. It's Summer!

Today is last day of HOW. Was a pretty good party.

Mom enjoyed the swiss steak, as did I. I got the sauce just right--not too thick or thin. At mom's request, I'm doing us a stirfry for today's supper. It's easy & filling. I'll tweak what's in the package with some extras--probably broccoli & shrimp. This package has chicken in it so the shrimp will work as an 'add'.

Mom has a return checkup @ the Dr. tomorrow. Sis is going, too. So far I can see a huge improvement. She still has some days where she's a bit 'breathy', but she says the tightness is gone. Definitely a good thing.

With the humidity building, I'm not planning to do lots of moving around. Got a couple of domestic chores, but I'll do them in doses.

Making progress on the 'easier' version of an angled-fold template for cards. Kind of a fun 'problem'. When I do this sort of thing, I have to allow for folks who have the least experience, but it's a fine line sometimes. And 'forgetting' what you know is not simple. KWIM?

Got some more threads to check & then I'll work on some projects.

Y'all stay comfortable today!

It will be interesting what you come up with for your fold card, Daniel. I hope your mom's appt goes well. Glad your steak turned out well.

I have a feeling this week is going to be crazy. I doubt I will get much time for crafting in the next couple.

It is hot again today. Should be hot with chances of thunderstorms all week.

We are considering getting a new roof this year and house upkeep things like that so we have and will have people coming out for bids and stuff. I really dislike those kinds of things. It really takes a lot of time and I don't appreciate those who use the hard sell technique. I prefer they just come, give me a quote and leave. lol

Not sure what is for dinner. Everyone liked the tacos last night. For some reason they seem summery to me.

Have a great day!

It has been hot and humid here, but the evening was pretty nice with less humidity and a breeze. I enjoyed my walk.

I have been rearranging my craft room. I have been on a roll spring cleaning, so now I have attacked the craft room. I moved a shelf with things I don't use much around the corner into the bonus room and bought a new shelf system with drawers also. Had to put it together and then rearrange a lot. It looks a lot better and is more workable.

I started on a card using a technique and hope to finish it tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good night.
